Massport spokesperson Jennifer Mehigan told The Boston Herald, “We continue to see migrants at the airport on a daily basis. They come to Logan a number of ways — some fly in, but the majority do not. They also arrive at Logan at all hours.”
Attorney and journalist Erielle Azerrad accurately noted, “Random people permitted to sleep at the airport with no identification, but you will take your shoes off at airport security and be charged extra if your bag is over 50 pounds. Welcome to anarchotyranny. It’s about to get much worse.”

CBS Boston reported on the illegals staying at the airport, explaining they asked lawmakers if the state is assisting in moving the individuals and how much it’s costing taxpayers.
“Their answers were somewhat ambiguous,” a reporter stated.
Democrat Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey said at a Monday press conference, “The airport’s been a wonderful partner,” and that state police are using overtime hours to help “manage the inflow and outflow of folks from the airport.”
Healy previously asked affluent citizens to house the illegal aliens flooding the state.
Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll said in August 2023, “Most importantly, if you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family. Housing and shelter is our most pressing need and become a sponsor family.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk commented on the proposal earlier this month, writing, “They’ve run out of hotel rooms, are kicking kids out of school for illegal housing and now they want your homes too.”

Last week, a Chicago city councilman also suggested locals with large houses take in illegals, saying, “So, you know, we do have a very affluent community, a lot of big homes. What I’d like to do is direct staff to create a sign-up sheet, so, you know, for individuals that would be willing to house migrant families.”
Instead of demanding the U.S. southern border be shut down immediately, the Governor Healey is asking the Biden administration for $250 million to provide aid and housing the illegal immigrants.
Electric Cars Will Not Dominate Global Market – Toyota Boss

Electric vehicles (EVs) will never dominate the market and consumers should not be forced to buy them, Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda stated in comments published on the company’s website on Tuesday.
Battery-powered vehicles will only ever reach 30% of the global market, while the rest will comprise hybrids, hydrogen fuel-cell, and fuel-burning cars, according to the head of the Japanese carmaker.
Toyoda believes that EVs should not be developed to the exclusion of other technologies at a time when a billion people worldwide still live without electricity, while battery-powered EVs are expensive and need charging infrastructure.
Speaking at a business event earlier this month, Toyoda, whose grandfather founded Toyota in Japan in 1937, called for a “multi-pathway approach.” He added that the shift towards EVs will not happen as quickly as many think and that “customers – not regulations or politics – should make that decision,” referring to the net-zero emission targets many Western governments are pushing for.
Pushing back against the focus on battery EVs at the expense of alternatives, Toyoda said: “‘The enemy is CO2. So, let’s all think about reducing CO2.”
Toyoda’s comments come after electric car sales in both the UK and EU weakened toward the end of last year. According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the market share of electric cars in the UK decreased last year as some drivers were reluctant to buy them over fears about their high cost and the lack of charging points.

Germany’s Population Grows by 300,000, Driven by Migration

Germany’s population rose by 300,000 people over the course of 2023, the Federal Statistical Office, known as Destatis, reported Thursday. At the end of 2023, Germany’s population came in at 84.7 million people, the office said.
The growth kept in line with the average rate seen between 2012 and 2021, the office said.
The increase was far lower than in 2022, however, when an unusually large increase of some 1.1 million people was recorded, mainly driven by the influx of Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s invasion.
As with other years, net migration, or the balance between people who emigrate and immigrate, was the driving factor for the population growth, given a gradual reduction in the size of the population within Germany.
Population within Germany itself consistently shrinking for decades
Germany saw a net migration of somewhere between 680,000 and 710,000 people, the office said, around double the net population growth.
As in all years since German reunification, the balance of births and deaths was again negative in 2023, as more people died than were born, the agency said in a statement.
Migration continues to be a key topic in Germany where the government has bolstered border controls and promised to speed up deportations.
At the same time, the government has addressed the need for foreign workers with reforms easing access to citizenship.
