String of robberies at grocery market chain popular with middle to upper class shoppers

Authorities in a California city are warning local residents about thieves targeting shoppers at Trader Joe’s markets in the Bay Area.

Police in Livermore, a city located approximately 35 miles from Oakland, issued an alert regarding a string of robberies that have taken place at the chain of grocery stores popular with many middle to upper class shoppers.

“We recently came across a crime trend that we wanted to share with our community. Recently there have been wallet thefts that have occurred at other Trader Joe stores in the Tri-Valley,” the Livermore Police Department (LPD) explained in a post on social media.

“In these crimes, wallets were taken from unattended shopping carts or open purses while victims were shopping in the store.”

LPD issued a list of tips to help shoppers protect themselves, including avoiding leaving valuables or belongings unattended inside the store and ‘trusting your instincts’ about ‘suspicious behavior.’

“Keep your wallet in a secure location, preferably in a front pocket or a closed or zipped bag that’s close to your body,” LPD urged.

Multiple Facebook users speculated that the thieves may be illegal aliens, with one woman saying she was recently robbed at a Whole Foods in Sacramento by a “foreign woman.”

Businesses have been plagued by an explosion of crime in the Bay Area, which is driving many to close to move away.

Last month, thieves in Oakland were seen dragging a stolen Bank of America ATM behind a van during a heist that unfolded just blocks away from the only In-N-Out eatery in the city – which is closing due to unbridled lawlessness in the area.

This comes as the Senate released the text of its $118 billion “border security” bill that keeps the border open, allows up to 5,000 illegals into the U.S. daily, sends tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine and Israel, and consolidates immigration authority to DC courts.

The bill was quickly declared “dead on arrival” by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and even Senate leadership acknowledged the bill has been nuked in the wake of fierce backlash by GOP voters.

At least 62 victims targeted by criminal network stealing purses and cell phones in Big Apple, authorities say

More than 60 people were robbed by a gang of illegal aliens during a crime spree across New York City in recent months, according to reports. 

On Monday, NYPD officers arrested at least five suspects at a ‘safe house’ in the Bronx. 

Authorities believe the suspects, who are all believed to be illegal aliens from Venezuela, have been operating a “sophisticated” criminal network headed by a Venezuelan man named Victor Parra. 

Thugs taking orders from Parra targeted at least 62 victims, nearly all of whom were women, stealing purses, cell phones, and other valuables, investigators say. 

The suspects often rode up to their victims on scooters in order to carry out robberies and quickly flee, causing some women to suffer serious injuries while trying to defend themselves and their property, as surveillance footage shows. 

“Detectives believe the suspects were snatching the phones to access the Apple Pay feature, and using credit cards linked to the phones to buy items in the U.S. or Central America,” ABC6 reports. 

Many of the stolen phones were wiped clean and sent to Colombia, presumably to be resold, according to police.

Authorities are now looking into whether any of the illegal aliens arrested for attacking NYPD officers near Times Square last week are connected to the criminal network.
