Not Fit for Presidential Duties: Ex-Pentagon Adviser on Biden’s Debate With Trump

The first debate between incumbent US President Joe Biden and Republican front-runner Donald Trump took place on Thursday evening. Biden’s poor performance sparked speculation that the Democrats may replace him with another candidate.
Joe Biden displays alarming evidence of cognitive decline and is obviously not fit for presidential duties, said the retired US Army Colonel and former Department of Defense adviser Douglas Macgregor.
“The media worked closely with the White House to conceal the truth that was on display last night. President Biden is not fit to discharge the immense duties of the presidency. The alarming evidence of his cognitive decline was on display for all to witness,” Macgregor stressed.
? The debate is a call for accountability.

He believes that Biden is a puppet for his political advisors and allies who are pulling his strings and who used his mental health to fuel the “proxy war in Ukraine”. He stresses that the Biden administration also “eroded” US moral authority and credibility by supporting Israel in its “disproportionate actions in Gaza.”
“These actions drained our defense resources and compromised our moral standing in the world. Sadly, President Biden’s fragile mental state was laid bare for all to see in last night’s debate. His responses were frequently incoherent. He appeared lost, even confused, struggling to complete basic thoughts. It was heartbreaking, a spectacle that confirmed our worst fears about his deteriorating capacity,” he concluded.

The shocking heist unfolded at around 2 p.m. on Monday in Denver.

Myrna Munoz said a lone man first walked into her family-run shop and shortly after, three more men wearing sunglasses entered the security cage at the entrance.
“They all pulled guns, the individual here pulled a gun then the other three did as well,” Munoz explained.
Four more suspects charged into the store and began piling jewelry into bags while customers were held at gunpoint.
Munoz can be seen fleeing through a back door, grabbing her 18-month-old son and pushing her daughter outside as her cousin and mother barricaded a connecting door.
Two suspects eventually broke through and began pistol-whipping the women and threatening to kill them if they tried to hit the panic button.
Munoz’s sister was also beaten and robbed.
“He grabbed her by the hair, took her up the stairs and told her not to move or he was going to kill her,” she said. “While she was face down on the floor, he was yanking all of her personal jewelry off.”
Munoz told authorities she thought the men were speaking with “Venezuelan accents.”

New Study: Racism Making Black Women Fat

High profile incidents of racism are helping to make black women fat, according to a new study in the Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities.
The new study looks at eating behaviours of black women in Baltimore in the aftermath of the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray in police custody. Gray’s death in 2015 resulted in protests across the city, and six officers charged in connection with his death were either found guilty or had the charges against them dropped.
Researchers from Johns Hopkins collected data from 254 women living at various distances from the epicenter of the incident, the neighborhood where Gray lived, before and after the high-profile incident. The researchers wanted to examine whether “vicarious racism”—mere proximity to acts of racism—could cause members of minorities, in this case black women, to eat more.
The answer, apparently, was a resounding “yes.”
As it turns out, women who lived closer Gray’s neighborhood after the incident reported higher levels of “emotional eating” and smoking, and also perceived there to be an increase in levels of daytime crime, suggesting they were dealing with stressors including increased anxiety.
The researchers point out that “vicarious racial discrimination” is not limited to police violence, but can be experienced on social media, at school, in the workplace, and even in stories told by family, friends and strangers.
Black women have the highest levels of obesity compared to any other group in the US. Eighty percent of black women are overweight or obese.
Target Finally Gets Serious About Out-of-Control Thefts, Lowers Intervention Threshold to Just $50

A new Bloomberg report reveals that retailer Target is finally cracking down on thieves by lowering the staff intervention threshold from $100 to $50. Target management has complained on earnings calls about ‘shrink’ in recent quarters and surging thefts that have squeezed margins.
People familiar with the new policy say employees will soon be able to intervene and halt criminals from leaving the store with as little as $50 in stolen goods. The previous threshold was $100. They say the new policy will be enforced this summer.
Target operates nearly 2,000 stores in the US and has warned investors countless times about damaging shrink—inventory loss due to theft, damage, and other factors—which has squeezed profit margins.
In March, Target Executive Vice President Michael Fiddelke said the company lost $500 million more in shrink in 2023 than in 2022.
The company expects shrink to a peak in 2024 as it works with policymakers and various cities to address out-of-control thefts.
Progressive lawmakers in states that ignored law and order only emboldened criminals to pillage retail stores as criminal and social justice reforms backfired. California decriminalizing thefts under $950 has been one of the biggest policy failures.
The National Retail Federation has previously stated that shrink accounted for $112.1 billion in losses in 2022, up from $93.9 billion in 2021. Failed progressive policies have sparked unprecedented levels of theft.
In response, retailers have shut down stores in crime-ridden areas and locked up entire aisles of high-value items. A lawless society, due to failed progressive policies, cannot economically thrive. It’s time for Americans to demand law and order.

Kamala to Be ‘Leapfrogged’ in Quest to Find Biden Replacement

US President Joe Biden’s performance in Thursday’s Presidential debate set off a panic in Democratic circles, with calls for the 81-year-old to step aside growing exponentially.
However, Biden’s heir apparent, Vice President Kamala Harris, has nearly as low of an approval rating as Biden, causing many to call for an entirely new Democratic ticket.
US Vice President Kamala Harris will be skipped over if her running mate President Joe Biden decides to drop out of the race, attorney and civil rights organizer Robert Patillo II speculated on Sputnik’s Fault Lines on Friday.
“President Biden had a very bad night. The worst part was that he reinforced the narrative about him, of being kind of this doddering old man who didn’t know where he was, couldn’t complete a sentence, kind of got lost midway through sentences, those sorts of things.”
The post-debate analysis, even on left-leaning MSNBC, focused heavily on finding a potential replacement for Biden, with the choices of Harris and California Governor Gavin Newsom being floated on the air.
Patillo described Biden’s performance as “Just an old man dying in front of us,” saying that “It got uncomfortable for people watching.”
In what appeared to be an attempt at damage control, Harris appeared on both MSNBC and CNN defending Biden’s performance and vehemently declining to call for him to step down. She may have been the only one. CNN analyst Van Jones called Biden’s performance “personally painful for a lot of people,” and openly noted that the Democrats could make a switch before the convention.
NBC analyst Chuck Todd said Democratic leaders are in “a full-on panic about this performance.” Almost 48 million viewers watched the debate, many more likely saw clips of Biden’s worst moments after they were posted online.
However, the Democrats may have difficulty finding a replacement for Biden because they all but shut down the party’s primary this cycle, making Harris the only potential candidate with a reasonable claim to the nomination as Biden’s running mate.
Unfortunately for Democrats, Harris is unpopular with the voting public, According to poll aggregator 538, only 39% of Americans view her favorably, leading commentators to speculate that another candidate may be chosen by party leadership. That causes its own set of problems, however, because Harris is the first woman vice president and the first Black vice president. Whoever is the eventual Democratic nominee will need support from both voting blocs if they hope to defeat Donald Trump in November.
“The problem then becomes you can’t hop over the first Black female vice president and put Gavin Newsom, let’s say, in the catbird seat,” explained Patillo. “Every once and a while the Democratic Black folks know exactly what their place is in the party and it’s pretty clear that the white feminists don’t hold Kamala Harris in the same regard that they held Hillary Clinton, for example,” he added later.
According to Sportsbook Review, Biden’s odds went from +137 on May 31, to +400 after the debate. That means a $100 bet placed on May 31 would have returned $237 ($137 profit) if Biden won the presidency. Now, a $100 bet will net you $500 ($400 profit) if Biden wins.
By comparison, Trump’s odds are -185, which means a $100 bet will net you $185 ($85 profit).
Even more interesting is how the odds of the other candidates not named Trump or Biden fared following the debate. Nearly every potential candidate– except Biden and Independent candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr.– saw their odds improve, indicating that betters and sportsbooks are expecting a change at the top of the Democratic ticket.
The biggest jump was for Gavin Newsom, who saw his odds go from +5000 to as low as +500 on some sites. By comparison, Harris’ odds went from +6600 to +1400, a large jump but not nearly as large as Newsom’s. The Democratic nominee for the 2016 Presidential election also jumped up the boards: Hillary Clinton’s odds are now +4000, in May, a bet on Clinton would have gotten gamblers +15000. Patillo thinks she may be a dark horse candidate for the nomination.
“The reason is you have, what? Four months that you have to get 100% name recognition around the country. You don’t have time to introduce the country to Gavin Newsom. You don’t have time to introduce the country to Kamala Harris, quite frankly,” he explained. “You need someone who is a known commodity that is already recognized by every single person, whether good, bad or ugly, and who has the ability to fundraise, you know, the half billion dollars they’re going to need to fundraise for the course of the next several months. And the only person who fits that bill will be Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama, and Michelle ain’t doing it.”
While Clinton lost to Trump in 2016 and has polled unfavorably with the American public, she can at least appear competent on the debate stage, unlike Biden’s performance on Thursday.
“[Biden] was barely able to form a sentence last night and that is why it’s a situation that’s apocalyptic for Democrats because regardless of how much money you raise, regardless of how you try to paint Trump, if people think you’re running essentially against ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ it’s not going to really matter,” argued Patillo. “And that is why that Hillary train is going to be picking up over the course of the next several weeks.”
“How many times have you heard people say this is no time to panic?” constitutional historian Dan Lazare asked while speaking to Sputnik. “Well, if ever there was a time for Democrats to panic, this is it.”

Netanyahu Tells US Delegation Iran Seeks to Topple Saudi Arabia, Jordan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday claimed in words given to a visiting US delegation that Iran is seeking to conquer the broader Middle East which includes plans to topple the regimes of Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
The delegation included US generals and admirals on a visit to Jerusalem. Netanyahu in raising the alarm of the Islamic Republic’s alleged ambitions went so far as to reference an ongoing “seven-front” conflict, of which Tehran is the puppet master. This is Israel is poised to launch a potential offensive against Hezbollah in south Lebanon.
“Their goal is to have a combined ground offensive from various fronts, coupled with a combined missile bombardment. We’ve been given an opportunity to scuttle it,” Netanyahu said. “The first requirement is to cut that hand, Hamas.”
“The people who did this thing to us are not going to be there,” he vowed in reference to the Oct.7 terror attack which kicked off the Gaza war. “We face a long battle — I don’t think it’s that long — but we’ll get rid of them.”
He then emphasized the broader Israeli security goal to “deter the other elements of the Iran terror axis” – which is widely seen as including Baghdad, Damascus, and Hezbollah. But in these new remarks he took it a big step further:
“But we have to deal with the axis,” he said, arguing that the Iran-backed alliance is “on a march to conquer the Middle East… to conquer Saudi Arabia, conquer the Arabian peninsula.”
“It’s just a question of time,” he added. “What’s standing in the way?” he asked. “The ‘small Satans’ — that’s us,” he added, referencing Iran’s disparaging nickname for Israel.
But this assessment seems far from the reality, given that over a year ago Iran entered a Beijing-brokered peace and normalization deal with Saudi Arabia.
Following the March 10, 2023 signing of the deal, ambassadors were exchanged, and Saudi Arabia opened its embassy in Tehran for the first time in seven years.
However, historic tensions remain, given the long history of the Sunni vs. Shia rivalry in the region. While Saudi Arabia is the global center of hardline Sunni wahhabism, Iran is a Shia theocracy.
The ten-year long Syria war can be seen as part of this broader rivalry, given President Bashar al-Assad is aligned with the ‘Shia axis’ – despite himself being a quasi-secular Baathist leader, and the Sunni Gulf states had partnered with the West in arming jihadists insurgents.
In his Thursday night debate with President Joe Biden, Trump vowed to get tougher on Tehran and accused Biden’s weakness of emboldening the Iranians.
“Iran was broke. Anybody that did business with Iran, including China, they couldn’t do business with the United States. They all passed,” Trump said of his time in office and the ‘maximum pressure’ campaign. “Iran was broke. They had no money for Hamas, Hezbollah, for terror. No money whatsoever.”
