Texas has refused to grant federal agents access to Shelby Park area, setting off a showdown between the state and federal government.

Astonishing footage out of Eagle Pass, Texas, shows members of the Texas Highway Patrol and Texas National Guard arresting and detaining illegal immigrants crossing razor wire barriers into the state.

Video shot Friday at the US-Mexico border shows several migrants in custody as Texas law enforcement agents patrol the area.

The new tough border security measures are part of an executive order enacted last month by Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas), which gives Texas law enforcement agents the authority arrest illegal immigrants.

NewsNation’s Ali Bradley reporting from the area explained Texas troopers have indicated they “are prepared and ready to be arrested if it comes to that.”

The videos come as the Biden administration has sued the state to block the law, and demanded access to the area surrounding Shelby Park where illegals have been entering the US undeterred, encountering Biden Border Patrol agents who catch then release them into the country.

The situation escalated when three migrants were reportedly found dead on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande River. The U.S. Justice Department claimed Texas law enforcement hindered their access to Shelby Park, preventing them from conducting a rescue.

Texas has thus far refused to grant Border Patrol agents access to the area which they commandeered last week, setting off a showdown between the state and federal government.

“Because the facts and law side with Texas, the State will continue utilizing its constitutional authority to defend her territory, and I will continue defending those lawful efforts in court,” stated a letter Wednesday from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office.

“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) should stop wasting scarce time and resources suing Texas, and start enforcing the immigration laws Congress already has on the books.”

Black congresswoman claims white security officer prevented her from entering ‘Capitol members only’ elevator.

Social media users are accusing Democrat congresswoman Barbara Lee (Calif.) of fabricating a tale in which she claimed she was the victim of racism at the US Capitol, saying it sounds suspiciously similar to the Jussie Smollett hate hoax.

Lee was speaking to CNN Thursday when she told the tale as an example of the “institutional racism” she claims is embedded in the US’ DNA.

“I was walking from the House building on Capitol Hill to the Capitol and a man, a white guy, stopped me and told me I could not get into the members’ elevator,” Lee told Kaitlan Collins.

“And, you know, we have pins, and I was going to vote. And he blocked me from getting into the elevator and told me that I was not a member of Congress and it was for members only.”

Rep. Lee continued: “I said, ‘Sir, I’m a member of Congress and I showed him my pin, and he said, ‘Whose pin did you steal?’”

“Now this is an example of what personal racism is,” Lee alleged, “and how people of color have to deal with this each and every day.”

Rep. Lee did not entertain the possibility that the security guard may have been confused, or simply made an error.

Lee’s fantastical anecdote was scrutinized online, with many comparing the Dem rep’s story to the tall tale told by former Empire actor Jussie Smollett, who was convicted of lying to police about a fake hate attack he blamed on Trump supporters.

Dr. Kevin Roberts also exposed the elite’s global open border agenda to collapse Western nations like America

During a recent speech at the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, The Herigate Foundation President Dr. Kevin Roberts scolded the unelected body for attempting to usurp the sovereignty of nations across the globe.

Dr. Roberts was invited to speak on a WEF panel Thursday where he used the opportunity to suggest the group is not doing a good job of protecting democracy and is instead a “part of the problem.”

“The very reason I’m here at Davos, is to explain to many people in this room and who are watching, with all due respect – nothing personal – that you are part of the problem,” he told the crowd of globalists. “Political elites tell the average people … that the reality is ‘x,’ when in fact, reality is ‘y.’”

A moderator asked Roberts what he thought about the WEF standing up for “liberal democracy” and he responded, “It’s laughable that you or anyone would describe Davos as ‘protecting liberal democracy.’”

He continued, saying, “Elites tell us that open borders and even illegal immigration are okay. The average person tells us in the United States that both rob them of the American way of life. Elites also tell us public safety isn’t a problem in big American cities. Just travel to New York or Washington or Dallas, Texas. The average person will tell you the lack of public safety damages not only the American way of life, but their life.”

“Elites tell us we have this existential crisis with so-called Climate Change. The solutions, the average person knows, cost more human lives – especially in Europe during the time that you need heating – than do the problems themselves,” he added.

Next, Dr. Roberts criticized the globalist group for cozying up to China when it is “the number one adversary to free people on planet Earth.”

When asked if he thinks Donald Trump will seek “retribution” against his political opponents, Roberts said it was “laughable” to use the word “dictatorship” when discussing Trump, saying, “I think that’s absurd.”

Near the end of his time speaking, Roberts told the forum, “I will be candid and say that the agenda that every single member of the [next] administration needs to have is to compile a list of everything that’s ever been proposed at the World Economic Forum and object to all of them wholesale.”

“Anyone not prepared to take away the power of unelected bureaucrats and give it back to the American people is unprepared to be part of the next conservative administration,” the Heritage Foundation head wrote on ?.
