Supreme Court Rejects Steve Bannon’s Bid to Avoid Prison
The Supreme Court on Friday denied former Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s request to postpone his jail term pending his contempt of Congress appeal.
The decision means the conservative firebrand, one of the Biden administration’s most outspoken critics, is required to report to federal prison in Danbury, Conn., starting Monday, July 1.
“The application for release pending appeal presented to The Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court is denied,” a brief order by the court stated Friday.
Bannon appealed his case after the January 6 House Select Committee charged him with contempt for refusing to testify and provide a deposition.
Bannon’s lawyers requested SCOTUS allow him to “remain on release pending conclusion of his appeals,” arguing the prosecution was intended to sideline him ahead of November.
“There is also no denying the fact that the government seeks to imprison Mr. Bannon for the four-month period immediately preceding the November presidential election,” attorneys for Bannon wrote to SCOTUS.
They also cited D.C. Circuit Court Judge Walker’s dissenting opinion stating, “Bannon should not go to prison before the Supreme Court considers his forthcoming petition for certiorari.”
On his Friday episode of WarRoom, Bannon railed against the Democrat establishment following Biden’s disastrous debate performance saying they’re endangering the American people by knowingly having a senile puppet in charge.

Comedian Adam Carolla OBLITERATES California Gov. Newsom For Shutting Down Beaches, Restaurants During COVID
Legendary comedian Adam Carolla and California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom joined News Nation following Thursday night’s presidential debate.
Instead of discussing the Trump vs. Biden debate, Carolla took the opportunity to badger Newsom about his atrocious COVID-19 lockdown policies.

The governor appeared to be caught off guard, stuttering and claiming there was no understanding of how the virus worked at the onset of the pandemic.
“If you didn’t know anything, why did you shut the beaches?” the comedian asked.
The politician answered by saying there wasn’t enough information available early in the pandemic about how the virus was spreading.
Carolla cut the Democrat governor off, asking, “So, you didn’t let them go into the sunshine to get vitamin D and exercise? You shut the beaches, okay.”
Responding to internet users celebrating the epic takedown of Newsom, Carolla told Americans they’re welcome for his service.

The encounter took place while Newsom is being floated by Democrats as a potential replacement for Joe Biden after his incredibly poor debate performance on Thursday night.

Given that Obama is still seen as the de facto standard bearer of the Democrat Party, his remarks are meant to put to rest speculation among the base and media that Joe Biden will bow out before November.

Just last week, Obama was in the headlines after he was seen escorting Biden offstage at a California fundraiser, leading to growing concerns Biden is becoming blatantly feeble which prompted the White House and mainstream media to claim the scene was a “cheap fake” and “manipulated video.”
The matter of Biden’s viability is still not put to rest despite Obama’s endorsement: Biden’s official nomination as the Democrat presidential candidate must still be decided at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on August 19.
