Elon Musk Warns US Being Turned Into “Refuge for the World’s Worst Criminals”

The fact that illegal migrants can cross the US-Mexico border and claim asylum without any identification has effectively turned the US into a “refuge” for criminals, Elon Musk stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
His comments came in response to a recent Bloomberg article, shared by the X user EndWokeness, reporting that Venezuela is experiencing its lowest homicide rate in 22 years, now that many criminals and gangs have left as part of a massive wave of emigration prompted by economic hardship.
EndWokeness commented on the report, stating “Venezuela has its lowest homicide rate in 22 years because their gangs are coming here.”
Musk agreed and claimed that “the ability to discard your identification documents (from any country), walk across the southern border and claim ‘asylum’ has turned America into a refuge for the world’s worst criminals.”
In another post later that day, the billionaire doubled down on his statement, writing that “anyone, even a literal serial killer, can toss away the ID they used to get into Mexico from anywhere in the world, then claim asylum, say they have no documents and be ushered into America.”

On Wednesday, the Tesla CEO also slammed a bill proposed by Democratic Senator Laphonza Butler, asking the Biden administration for more federal taxpayer money to provide beds for immigrants in San Diego after the county shelter ran out of funding. The senator warned that between 800 and 1,000 people residing in the shelter would be released per day otherwise.
“Dams are bursting all over the country,” Musk responded, noting that “America is only 4% of Earth’s population” and if just 1% of the rest of the Earth moves to the US, it would crush all of the country’s essential services.
“I am ringing the alarm bell, because the flood of illegals is crushing the country,” he wrote.
The state of the US-Mexico border has become one of the key issues in US politics over the past year amid a historic influx of millions of immigrants. Republican lawmakers have been demanding tighter controls and more money to be set aside to deal with the border crisis, prompting them to block a multi-billion-dollar aid package for Ukraine.

No More Ukraine Aid Until Wall Built on Entire Southern Border – US Senate Candidate

Republican candidate for US Senate John Rust told Sputnik that the United States should not fund more aid for Ukraine until it has built a wall on the entire US southern border in order to address the years-long border crisis.
Rust, of the state of Indiana, said he “absolutely, positively” agrees that funding for Ukraine aid and US border security should be tied together in one bill.
“The issue I have with Ukraine is you have to fund our own border first before we go and fund Ukraine’s border,” Rust said. “I’m not for sending any money to Ukraine until our own southern border wall is built completely and funded completely from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean.”
Earlier this month, Senate Republicans blocked a $118 billion national security supplemental package that includes $60 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel and border policy reforms. Republicans claim the reforms in the bill would not do enough to deter illegal immigration on the US southern border.
However, the Senate sent over a $95 billion foreign aid bill that excludes border security reforms to the House of Representatives for consideration, but House Speaker Mike Johnson has been reluctant to take it up for a vote over differences on national security priorities. The supplemental bill includes $60 billion for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel, among funding for other priorities.

1st Amendment Under Attack! Biden DOJ Orders Journalist To Surrender To FBI For J6 Coverage
Joe Biden’s rogue Department of Justice ordered a Blaze Media journalist to surrender himself to the FBI on Friday over his coverage of the January 6th debacle.
“It’s really happening,” wrote Steve Baker, explaining the FBI has officially signed off on his arrest warrant.
?BREAKING?- This time, it’s really happening.
— Steve Baker – TPC (@TPC4USA) February 28, 2024
Unlike the two previous threats my attorneys received from @FBI / @thejusticedept (Nov. 21 and Dec. 23), my self-surrender for alleged J6 crimes is set for this Friday morning in Dallas, TX. There is now a signed arrest warrant.⬇️
Baker noted he’s been instructed to wear shorts and sandals when he sees the federal magistrate, showing he’s likely to be put into a prison jumpsuit and paraded around as a criminal for the media.
The prosecutor informed my attorney that I am to arrive at the @FBI field office wearing “shorts and sandals.” They didn’t have to go this route, as we’ve been told that my charges are non-violent misdemeanors.⬇️
— Steve Baker – TPC (@TPC4USA) February 28, 2024
Baker’s charges are “under seal” until the warrant is served on Friday.
We do not yet know the specific charges. Technically … they are still “under seal” until the warrant is served. All else is as yet unknown. By this weekend, I will officially be a misdemeanor domestic journo-terrorist. (Something like that.) And so it begins.⬇️
— Steve Baker – TPC (@TPC4USA) February 28, 2024
Baker told Blaze News, “They didn’t have to go this route. We have been told that my charges are only misdemeanors. And my attorneys have been assured that this will be an ‘in and out’ affair with ‘no intention’ to detain me. But rather than issuing a simple order to appear, they went the ‘arrest warrant’ route.”
“We do not know if there will be pretrial travel restrictions, although that has been the norm for J6 defendants — even for misdemeanor defendants,” he added. “It has also been universal that no J6ers are allowed to travel to Washington, D.C., which for obvious reasons will have a deleterious impact on my work. We also do not know if there will be any other accompanying restrictions or orders: gag order from talking about my case, no social media, limited social media, order to surrender devices and/or firearms. All unknowns.”
Editor-in-Chief of Blaze Media Matthew Peterson called the treatment of Baker “outrageous” and said they’ll soon show the world “footage from January 6 that shows Steve was clearly present that day as an independent journalist.”
He continued, “Government retaliation such as this against journalists contradicts the very idea of a free press, the purpose of our form of government, and what once was the American way of life. This should not be happening in America.”
The federal government’s treatment of @TPC4USA is outrageous.

He’s had unknown charges hanging over his head for years but after we started working with him the government sprang back into action. There is no need to put him in a jumpsuit or handcuffs except as a humiliation… https://t.co/pXe11IHvJS
What’s especially disturbing about the mistreatment of Baker is the fact that his reporting on January 6th contradicts many mainstream narratives and exposes facts the establishment is trying to keep from the American people.
The journalist’s attorneys have even suggested the U.S. Department of Justice may be orchestrating a “retaliation” against Baker due to his Jan. 6 reporting, which has focused on Capitol Police officers lying in court and the government’s bizarre handling of the J6 pipe bomber story.

“This is disgusting. The Steve Baker situation is a good example for demonstrating the regime rules. We live in a weird hybrid authoritarian state. Sure, you’re free to mostly do whatever you want. For most people, their life is unchanged. But, if you cross the regime while not bowing to the narrative, the most powerful government in the world will crush you. The narrative is the law. And it’s not voted on by anyone. The narrative is crafted by a media, academia, IC, activist, uniparty machine. Cross the narrative and the actual laws will be used as the pretext for your destruction, but violating the narrative is your crime.”

Daily Signal columnist Mike Howell also commented on the news, writing, “The Regime is arresting Steve for the crime of exposing the lies at the core of the J6 narrative In a sane world, he’d be winning the Pulitzer Prize and a national hero for telling the truth Instead they’re arresting this journalist Truly evil behavior by Wray and his thugs.”

“All Weapons Safe”: Wildfire Temporarily Suspends Operations At Texas Nuclear Bomb Plant

A wildfire in the Texas Panhandle exploded in size on Tuesday, forcing the temporary shutdown of a nuclear weapons plant.
BREAKING: ? The Texas wildfires outside of Amarillo have forced the Pantex nuclear weapons facility to pause operations.

The Smokehouse Creek Fire, burning between Canadian and Stinnett, exploded in size from 40,000 to 200,000 acres in a matter of hours on Tuesday. This prompted Republican Gov. Greg Abbott to issue a disaster declaration for 60 counties.
“Hot and dry conditions caused by high temperatures and windy conditions are expected to continue in the region in the coming days,” Abbott said in a statement. “These conditions could increase the potential for these wildfires to grow larger and more dangerous.”

Pantex has been the US’s main assembly and disassembly site for nukes since the mid-1970s. It assembled the last new bomb in 1991 while dismantling thousands.

Biden Moves To Attach Conditions On Israel Using US Weapons In Gaza

The Biden White House has clearly been struggling to both maintain a coherent Gaza policy that will satisfy Democrats – progressives among them – while also holding to the longtime US stance that Israel has a right to defend itself. But the Palestinian death toll is now nearing 30,000 – according to Gaza Health Ministry figures – which is creating immense pressure on Washington, both internationally and at home.
So far throughout the war on Hamas, Biden has refused to attach conditions on the defense aid transferred to Israel. All the while it’s been clear that the bulk of weaponry and bombs which land on civilians are supplied by the US. But the US administration now finally appears ready to give the Netanyahu government an ultimatum (at least “on paper” that is).
Axios reports in an exclusive, “The Biden administration gave Israel until mid-March to sign a letter, provided by the U.S. on Tuesday, that gives assurances it will abide by international law while using U.S. weapons and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, three U.S. and Israeli officials told Axios.”
Israel has 45 days to sign the letter giving these ‘assurances’. Likely, Israel will have no problem doing so based on giving pledges to protect civilian life – but whether it actually does so is of course another question. Israel has long claimed that it doesn’t attack civilians, and says it acts within conventional international rules of warfare.
According to the national security memorandum:
It also stresses that a country that uses U.S. weapons in conflict areas needs to provide “credible and reliable written assurances” that it will “facilitate and not arbitrarily deny, restrict, or otherwise impede, directly or indirectly, the transport or delivery of United States humanitarian assistance and United States Government-supported international efforts to provide humanitarian assistance.”
Sen. Chris Van Hollen, who has led efforts in the Senate for the US to attach humanitarian conditions to the lethal aid provided to Israel, has said: “We did it to make sure we have an accountability structure and that U.S. security assistance aligns with both our values and our interests.”
There’s long been speculation that if Washington shut off the weapons and munitions pipeline to Tel Aviv, the Israeli Army would quickly run out of munitions and would hardly be able to execute its war against Hamas in retaliation for Oct.7 and to free the hostages. Israel is also on a war footing with Hezbollah in the north, and a full front could open up there at any moment.
Israel is keenly aware of its damaged reputation internationally given the immense civilian death toll, and now the possibility of famine and mass starvation.
On Wednesday, Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari issued a statement to a world Jewish humanitarian organization which stressed Israel is “fighting against Hamas, not against the people of Gaza.”
“Our aim in this war, our main mission, is to rescue our hostages but also make sure that the citizens of Gaza are free from Hamas,” he continued. “We are dismantling the military framework of Hamas from the north to the south. We already dismantled 18 battalions out of 24 and we are finishing the others, the last four are in Rafah.”
He further pledged that the some 1.4 million civilians in Rafah will be moved to a “safer zone” ahead of the all-out military assault of the southern city, believed to be coming by at least early March.

GOP Senators Make U-Turn as They Urge ‘Negotiated Settlement’ of Ukraine Conflict

Many Republican members of the US Senate are openly calling for a negotiated solution to the Ukraine conflict, in what looks like a clear U-turn on their previous stance, Politico has reported.
The news outlet cited GOP Senator Marco Rubio, vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, as saying that “the reality at this point that we have to confront is that war ends with a negotiated settlement.”
He was echoed by his colleague J.D. Vance, who said “That’s probably where this thing ends up,” calling a negotiated settlement the most likely outcome of the conflict.
“No one can explain to me how this ends without some territorial concessions relative to the 1991 boundaries,” Vance added, in an apparent nod to Ukraine.
Politico recalled in this vein that the GOP members’ current position was unpopular just months ago, when those lawmakers declined to discuss the possibility that “Ukraine might have to give up something, including territory,” to end the standoff.
The lawmakers’ remarks come amid House Speaker Mike Johnson’s ongoing opposition to a vote on sending more US aid to Ukraine, with Russian troops continuing to advance after the liberation of the key city of Avdeyevka.
Speaking to reporters after the top four congressional leaders’ meeting with President Joe Biden at the White House on Tuesday, Johnson said he told the group and the president that House Republicans wanted to see action to address the southern border crisis before acting on the US’ new Ukraine aid worth $60 billion. “We must take care of America’s needs first,” the House Speaker pointed out.
