Feds say they thwarted an Islamic terrorist… after inspiring young man to commit terror attack.

The DOJ arrested an 18-year-old Idaho man over the weekend after he reportedly pledged allegiance to ISIS and planned to attack churches in Coeur d’Alene.

According to police, Alexander Scott Mercurio was going to knock out his father, handcuff him and take his firearms to go kill people at nearby churches.

When law enforcement searched Mercurio’s home, they found a “metal pipe, handcuffs, folding saw, head coverings, two canisters of butane fuel, and [a] machete.”

Unknowingly speaking with an undercover FBI agent, Mercurio allegedly said he previously “drank the Kool-aid of white supremacy” but found “more purpose” in joining ISIS.

Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland commented on the arrest, saying, “Thanks to the investigative efforts of the FBI, the defendant was taken into custody before he could act, and he is now charged with attempting to support ISIS’s mission of terror and violence. The Justice Department will continue to relentlessly pursue, disrupt, and hold accountable those who would commit acts of terrorism against the people and interests of the United States.”

Of course, FBI informants were the ones who convinced Mercurio to plan the terror attack in the first place and they also allegedly provided him with the ISIS flag he posed with.

The View struggles to rein in co-host through eclipse segment.

The ladies on ABC daytime talk show “The View” had their hands full with co-host Sunny Hostin Monday, as she falsely blamed “climate change” for a litany of natural phenomena, including the solar eclipse.

During a segment concerning the eclipse, Hostin rambled about the 4.8 magnitude earthquake in New York last week, mentioning a make-up artist who “ran down the hallway” claiming, “Jesus is coming,” and, “The rapture is here.”

Hostin also brought up the eclipse and the upcoming cicada breeding season, saying, “All those things together would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists or something is really going on.”

Hostin’s co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg attempted to rein her in.

“Except earthquakes are not at the mercy of climate change. It’s underground. It can’t,” Behar told her, prompting Hostin to ask, “How about the warming of the planet?”

“No, it happens,” Goldberg chimed in. “And the eclipse, they’ve known about the eclipse coming because eclipses happen, and they actually can say when these things are going to happen.” 

Goldberg also shut down Hostin’s cicada conspiracy theory, telling her the breeding season happens once every 17 years.

Investigators “established that funds, flowing through commercial organizations, including oil and gas conglomerate Burisma Holdings, operating in Ukraine, have been used in recent years to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia,” says Investigative Committee spokeswoman.

Probes have been launched into the financing of terrorist activities in Russia and abroad in the wake of the concert hall terror attack that left 140 people dead, Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Tuesday.

The list of suspects include Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, which is linked to a corruption scandal surrounding the Biden family that’s been underway for years.

The criminal investigation stems from a complaint filed by a group of Russian MPs and public figures following the Crocus City Hall attack outside Moscow last month. 

The U.S. and Ukraine have been fingered as responsible parties in the attack by the original complaint.

So far, investigators “established that the funds, flowing through commercial organizations, including the oil and gas conglomerate Burisma Holdings, operating in Ukraine, have been used in recent years to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia,” committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko said.

Terrorist activities have also been perpetrated beyond the country, aimed at the “elimination of prominent political and public figures, as well as causing economic damage,” she added.

The Investigative Committee has been working “in cooperation with other intelligence services and financial intelligence,” Petrenko noted, which entails “checking sources of income and further movement of funds in the amount of several million US dollars,” and examining whether “specific individuals from among government officials, people with civic and commercial organizations of Western countries” were involved.

Former Ukrainian MP Andrey Derkach in January had accused Burisma of financing terrorism on behalf of the Ukrainian government.

In the spring of 2014, following the US-backed coup in Kiev, the Ukrainian energy firm hired Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer on its board of directors, offering $1 million a year in pay. Biden’s father Joe was President Barack Obama’s vice president at the time, and oversaw Washington’s Ukraine policy. He once famously bragged about getting a corruption prosecutor fired – which just happened to occur after that prosecutor began investigating Burisma.

Nikolay Zlochevsky’s company also offered protection payments to the government in Kiev, according to former Ukrainian MP Andrey Derkach. Zlochevsky paid some “800 million hryvnias [over $21 million] for terrorism financing” in “various jurisdictions,” Derkach claimed in January.

“The leaders of Ukraine’s security services make no secret of the fact that they carry out terrorist acts and political assassinations for extra-budgetary cash,” he said at the time. “Once again: Biden’s partners in the corruption business in Ukraine finance terrorist acts, thus avoiding responsibility for corruption in Ukraine.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently announced that Islamic radicals committed the Crocus City Hall terror attack, but suggested they were directed by Ukrainian and Western proxies.

“The future of Ukraine and Europe is more secure if Joe Biden is elected,” he says.

Former CIA Director John Brennan went on an unhinged tirade against former President Donald Trump during a weekend interview.

Brennan, a nasty political operative, served as Obama’s CIA Director from 2013-2017 and was a key player in the Clinton-contrived Russia collusion hoax against Trump.

Speaking with Belgium-based RTBF Actus on Sunday, Brennan delivered several baseless left-wing talking points, such as the notion that Trump wants Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Europe and wants to incite violence among his supporters.

Brennan began by warning that Trump would have the power to cut funding to Ukraine if elected again in November, which would give Putin the “green light” to invade the rest of Europe.

“He can do this by telling American intelligence not to help their Ukrainian counterparts. He can decrease or even stop financial and military aid to the government in Kiev,” Brennan said. “And that would give Vladimir Putin the green light to try to almost swallow up Ukraine. And unfortunately, I think it will encourage Vladimir Putin to look hungrily toward the rest of Europe.”

“The future of Ukraine and Europe is more secure if Joe Biden is elected. If Donald Trump is elected, that changes everything and serious questions will arise about the will of the United States to resist to Russian aggression in the future.”

It’s worth noting that Ukraine wasn’t in a conflict with Russia under Trump, as Putin did not make a move on the country until well into Biden’s term.

Brennan also opined that he was “demoralized” that Trump still has so much political support.

“I am truly demoralized to see so many Americans supporting Donald Trump’s rhetoric. Many continue to believe in his conspiracy theories. It’s distressing to see isolationist sentiment gaining more and more ground in the United States,” he said.

He also regurgitated the bad-faith fake news/Democrat talking point that Trump called for a “bloodbath” if he was elected, when in fact he was speaking about the gutted auto industry under Joe Biden last month.

“Unfortunately, Donald Trump and some of his supporters continue to use flowery language which sometimes incites violence,” Brennan said. “Donald Trump, for example, spoke of a bloodbath if Joe Biden was re-elected. In the United States, the potential for violence is fueled by politicians who try to instill fear in citizens. This worries me and others in the national security community.”

Brennan also defended Biden’s advanced age but admitted he was worried about the tight polling between him and Trump.

“Yes, he’s 81. But I think the State of the Union speech he recently gave showed that he still had that fire in him and that he is still intellectually very engaged and has all his mental capacities. As long as he remains in good health, he will indeed be the candidate of the Democratic party,” he said.

“There is a lot of time until November, I am worried when I see some of the polls,” he added.

There is no evidence to support Brennan’s claim that Putin wants to invade the rest of Europe. In fact, Putin made Russia’s objectives clear during a Feb. 2022 speech to the Russian people days after it launched its military operation in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Trump has said that he would broker a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia within 24 hours of becoming president.

He’s also threatened to withdraw the U.S. from NATO if other member states didn’t do more to fund the transatlantic alliance, as the U.S. accounted for over 68% of its funding in 2023.
