Biden ‘Mentally Unfit’ to Have Nuclear Codes – Top Republican

US President Joe Biden is facing growing pressure to step down immediately, after announcing that he will not seek reelection in November. Biden has declared that he plans to serve out the remainder of his term, which officially ends in January.
Just moments after Biden announced his decision on Sunday, Rep. Richard Hudson, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, accused the Democrats of lying to the American people. He argued that if Biden lacks the mental capacity to run for reelection, he cannot continue to serve out the remainder of his term.
“This is a scandal of historic proportions. President Biden is incapacitated, Democrats knew, and they lied to the American people to cover it up. If Biden is mentally unfit to campaign, he is mentally unfit to have the nuclear codes,”Hudson wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

US House Speaker Mike Johnson echoed that sentiment, calling the development an “unprecedented juncture in American history” and urging Biden to resign immediately.
“If Joe Biden is not fit to run for president, he is not fit to serve as president. He must resign the office immediately. November 5 cannot arrive soon enough,” Johnson said in a statement, adding that the Democrats’ prospects “are no better” with Harris.
A host of Republican lawmakers have joined the chorus calling for Biden’s resignation. Florida Senator Rick Scott, Louisiana Representative Steve Scalise, and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik of New York are among dozens who have demanded that Biden relinquish the presidency.

Earlier in the day, before the US leader announced his move, Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, questioned how Biden can “justify remaining President” if he drops out from the race.
“Not running for re-election would be a clear admission that President Trump was right all along about Biden not being mentally fit enough to serve as Commander-in-Chief. There is no middle ground,” Vance wrote.
Evidence of Multiple Shooters at Trump Assassination Attempt
RFK Jr. Says Vance Is CIA, despite Having a Former CIA Member Running His Own Campaign

RFK Jr. has warned that Trump’s new VP pick, JD Vance, is acting in the interests of the CIA, despite having a former CIA member running his own campaign.
In a clip posted on social media, RFK Jr. excoriates Vance, and by extension Trump, for being corrupt and in thrall to the vested interests of the intelligence community and military-industrial complex.
“His pick as vice president is a salute to the CIA and to the intelligence community and to the military-industrial complex,” said RFK Jr.
“And their gravy train is going to continue.”

Social-media users were quick to point out that RFK Jr. has his own direct ties to the CIA—and they didn’t mean with regard to the assassination of his uncle and father.
Back in October, RFK Jr. replaced his campaign manager, former Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich, with his daughter-in-law, Amaryllis Fox Kennedy.
Amaryllis spent a decade working for the CIA in its “most elite and clandestine operations unit,” according to The National Pulse. In her memoir, she claims to have been deployed to 16 different countries in the hunt for the world’s most dangerous terrorists.
Senior members of the CIA have poured scorn on her account of her time with the organization. William Murray, a CIA operations agent, said, “You don’t go wandering around Karachi on your own… you’ll wind up in some warlord’s harem, or you’ll wind up dead.”

Poll: 1/3 of Democrats Wish Trump Had Died
A full third of Democrats wish Trump had been killed last weekend.
According to a poll conducted by Unherd, a third of Democrat respondents agreed with the statement, “I wish Trump’s assassin hadn’t missed.”
Respondents who agreed where asked to explain why they did so.
55% agreed with the statement “White Republicans are racist,” providing the most significant indicator of whether a respondent wished Trump had died.”

Polling since the attack on Donald Trump clearly indicates that a majority of Americans now believe political violence is on the up.
In a snap poll conducted by YouGov the day after the attempted assassination, just over-two thirds of respondents, or 67%, said they believed politically motivated violence is more likely. Only 8% said they thought it was less likely.
Respondents were also asked, “How big of a problem do you think political violence is in the US today?”
Exactly half said they believed political violence is “a very big problem,” with 32% saying it’s “somewhat of a problem” and only 10% saying it’s either “not very much of a problem” or “not a problem.”

Barack Obama Releases Statement on Biden, but Doesn’t Endorse Kamala

Barack Obama has released a statement supporting President Biden’s decision to drop out of the race, but stopped short of endorsing Biden’s choice of successor, Kamala Harris.
In a long statement posted to Medium, Obama praised Biden as “one of America’s most consequential presidents” and said his decision to remove himself from proceedings reminds us “that he’s a patriot of the highest order.”
“I also know Joe has never backed down from a fight,” Obama wrote.
“For him to look at the political landscape and decide that he should pass the torch to a new nominee is surely one of the toughest in his life. But I know he wouldn’t make this decision unless he believed it was right for America.”
Joe Biden has been one of America’s most consequential presidents, as well as a dear friend and partner to me. Today, we’ve also been reminded – again – that he’s a patriot of the highest order.
Here’s my full statement: https://t.co/Bs2ZumFXxe— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) July 21, 2024
There was one notable omission from the statement, however: support for Biden’s chosen successor, Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris has already received support from the Clintons as well as President Biden himself, but Barack Obama’s refusal to get behind the Vice President strongly suggests that his wife, Michelle, is going to throw her hat into the race.
Instead of a straight endorsement, Obama chose a more enigmatic message, saying, “We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead. But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges”
Here’s Obama’s statement in full:
“Joe Biden has been one of America’s most consequential presidents, as well as a dear friend and partner to me. Today, we’ve also been reminded—again—that he’s a patriot of the highest order.
“Sixteen years ago, when I began my search for a vice president, I knew about Joe’s remarkable career in public service. But what I came to admire even more was his character—his deep empathy and hard-earned resilience; his fundamental decency and belief that everyone counts.
“I also know Joe has never backed down from a fight. For him to look at the political landscape and decide that he should pass the torch to a new nominee is surely one of the toughest in his life. But I know he wouldn’t make this decision unless he believed it was right for America. It’s a testament to Joe Biden’s love of country—and a historic example of a genuine public servant once again putting the interests of the American people ahead of his own that future generations of leaders will do well to follow.
“We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead. But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges. I believe that Joe Biden’s vision of a generous, prosperous, and united America that provides opportunity for everyone will be on full display at the Democratic Convention in August. And I expect that every single one of us are prepared to carry that message of hope and progress forward into November and beyond.”

Frank Biden: Joe Dropped Out Because of Health, May Be near Death’s Door

Joe Biden’s brother Frank has confirmed that the President has dropped out of the 2024 presidential race due to health concerns.
Frank Biden spoke to CBS News and said that he was “incredible proud” of his brother, calling him a “hero.”
In doing so, however, Frank Biden appeared to suggest that his brother’s health may be significantly worsening, using the ominous phrase “whatever time we have left.”
? Biden’s brother, Frank, says Biden’s declining health “absolutely” played a “considerable role” in his decision to drop out of the presidential race — something the Biden administration has consistently denied.

“I’m incredibly proud of my brother,” Frank Biden said.
“Selfishly, I will have him back to enjoy whatever time we have left. He is a genuine hero. Country over self. It sounds corny in our cynical political environment, but neither he nor I are cynical. The goal remains the same: defeat Trump and continue the work Joe has done. My hope is that the party rallies around this heroic act.”
When asked directly whether his brother’s “health and vitality” played a major role in his decision to drop out, Frank Biden answered, “In my humble opinion, absolutely.”
In addition to his obvious cognitive and physical decline, President Biden still has COVID-19.

Trump Beats Harris by 8 Points Nationally and 5 Points in Georgia

Recent polling suggests that Kamala Harris will not beat Trump if she goes head to head with him in November.
A nationwide poll taken the week before the assassination attempt against Trump, put Trump on 44% and Harris on 36%, with RFK Jr., Chase Oliver, Jill Stein and Cornel West trailing far behind on 6%, 1%, 1%, and 1% respectively. In a direct head to head, Trump would beat Harris by 2%, with 6% undecided.
The poll was conducted between 7 and 13 July and sampled 2,100 voters.
A more recent poll, released on Sunday, showed that Trump beats Harris 51% to 46%, a margin of 5%, in Georgia. This poll was smaller, sampling 1,000 voters.
Biden’s shocking departure from the race for the presidency came on Sunday, despite assurances from Biden to his aides on Saturday that it was still “full steam ahead” for his campaign.
According to Politico, the President’s mind was changed when he was presented with “damning new information” in a meeting with two of his closest confidantes and advisors, Steve Ricchetti and Mike Donilon.
“In addition to presenting new concerns from lawmakers and updates on a fundraising operation that had slowed considerably, they carried the campaign’s own polls, which came back this week and showed his path to victory in November was gone,” Politico explained, adding that its information came from “five people familiar with this matter,” who spoke to the outlet on condition of anonymity.
Harris has already received high-profile endorsements for a run at the presidency, including from Biden himself and the Clintons. The Obamas, however, have not endorsed Harris yet.
