It Begins: Democrat Congressman Calls For Joe Biden to Drop Out

Texas Rep. Lloyd Doggett becomes first Democrat congressman to publicly call for Biden to step down.

Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) called for Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race on Tuesday, making him the first Democrat lawmaker to do so publicly.

Doggett, who is serving his 15th term in Congress representing the Austin-area district, said in a statement that Biden should “make the painful and difficult decision to withdraw,” citing his disastrous debate performance.

“President Biden has continued to run substantially behind Democratic senators in key states and in most polls has trailed Donald Trump. I had hoped the debate would provide some momentum to change that. It did not,” Doggett wrote.

“Instead of reassuring voters, the President failed to effectively defend his many accomplishments and expose Trump’s many lies.”

“Too much is at stake to risk a Trump victory — too great a risk to assume that what could not be turned around in a year, was not turned around in the debate, can be turned around now,” he continued. “President Biden saved our democracy by delivering us from Trump in 2020. He must not deliver us to Trump in 2024.”

Doggett went on to say, “My decision to make these strong reservations public is not done lightly nor does it in any way diminish my respect for all that President Biden has achieved.”

“Recognizing that, unlike Trump, President Biden’s first commitment has always been to our country, not himself, I am hopeful that he will make the painful and difficult decision to withdraw. I respectfully call on him to do so,” he added.

Though other Democrat lawmakers acknowledged Biden’s terrible debate performance, they’ve all shied from directly calling on him to step down.

In fact, top Democrats like former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, along with Hillary Clinton and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, all doubled down on their support for Biden after the debate.

But Democrat governors of multiple states reportedly held a conference call Monday to discuss their concerns about Biden’s atrocious presidential debate performance.

And apparently the political pressure to drop Biden is becoming so great — such as the New York Times editorial board calling on Biden to drop out — that even Pelosi on Tuesday appeared to change her tune.

“I think it’s a legitimate question to say, is this an episode or is this a condition?” Pelosi asked on MSNBC.

Whoa! Did Nancy Pelosi just signal a pivot away from her stalwart defense of Joe Biden?

Ron Burgundy? Biden Reads ‘End of Quote’ on Teleprompter

Yet more senile antics from Dementia Joe.

Joe Biden accidentally read aloud stage directions during a national address Monday, further giving Democrats cause for concern over the aging president’s apparent cognitive decline.

The senior moment unfolded as Biden delivered a short speech to the nation chiding the Supreme Court over its presidential immunity ruling, claiming it somehow rendered Donald Trump a king.

“I concur with Justice Sotomayor’s dissent today,” Biden stated, according to the White House transcript. “She — here’s what she said. She said, ‘In every use of official power, the president is now a king above the law. With fear for our democracy, I dissent,’ end of quote.”

Biden was roundly ridiculed over the faux pas on social media, where he was compared to fictional news anchor Ron Burgundy, known for reading every word written on the teleprompter.

OMG. You can’t deny that Joe Biden is not all there. He’s like Ron Burgundy in Anchorman, he will read ANYTHING you put on the teleprompter. He actually read “end of quote”. He’s losing his mind! pic.twitter.com/Vx3le56UG4

Biden’s air-headed blooper is currently the least of Democrats’ worries, as the party has the difficult decision of swapping him out less than 125 days until the election.

Replacement Time? Panicked Dem Governors To Hold Emergency Meeting With Biden

Top politicians demanded to speak with Sleepy Joe directly

CNN anchor Jake Tapper revealed on X Tuesday that Democrat governors of multiple states held a conference call Monday to discuss their concerns about Joe Biden’s atrocious presidential debate performance.

Tapper wrote in a pair of now-deleted posts, “On the call Dem. governors expressed concern about what’s going on with the president They know if they come forward publicly with concern that likely will cause Biden to dig in more They were also surprised none of them had heard from him (!)”

  • Replacement Time? Panicked Dem Governors To Hold Emergency Meeting With Biden

The governors reportedly agreed they wanted to speak with Biden directly, not Kamala Harris.

Just a couple hours after Tapper’s posts, CBS News learned the White House agreed to talk with the group of Democrat governors on Wednesday.

When the White House tried to get the governors to speak with Harris, they said, “They’d like to hear from him directly before going and sticking out their necks for him again,” according to CBS.

Some of the governors, such as Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer have been floated as potential Biden replacements.

Could the meeting go sideways and cause the Democrats to ditch Sleepy Joe once and for all?

It seems as if top Democrats are already eyeing the possibility of replacing Biden with Kamala Harris.

CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins told her X followers Harris is “within striking distance of Trump in a hypothetical matchup,” according to a recent poll.

The poll also finds Vice President Harris within striking distance of Trump in a hypothetical matchup: 47% of registered voters support Trump, 45% Harris. That slightly stronger showing against Trump rests at least in part on broader support from women (50% of female voters back…

Democrat Rep. James Clyburn (S.C.), the Biden campaign’s co-chair, told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell he would support Harris if she were the Democrat Party’s candidate.

Rep. James Clyburn, Biden-Harris campaign co-chair, just told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC he’ll back Kamala Harris either as VP or at the top of they ticket:

Democrat presidential candidate Marianne Williamson released a video Tuesday calling for an open convention and suggesting Democrats replace Joe Biden.

Every day this goes on we’re ceding ground to Donald Trump. We’re holding the most critical campaign of our lifetimes hostage to the personal fortunes of one man, while those who could end the travesty are too cowardly to do so.

Even ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitted it’s “legitimate” to ask if Biden’s suffering from a mental condition.

Is France the Next Greece?

Is France the Next Greece?

Greece’s sovereign debt crisis after the global 2008 implosion was characterized by an excessively high debt-to-GDP ratio, budget deficits, low growth, and an over-reliance on revenues from the tourism industry.

French markets have found some relief after the first round of its latest election, with stocks recovering somewhat and bond yields falling after reaching a 12-year high. But no matter which side wins in France, the market is afraid that an increase in unsustainable spending could be the common denominator.

Greece’s sovereign debt crisis after the global 2008 implosion was characterized by an excessively high debt-to-GDP ratio, budget deficits, low growth, and an over-reliance on revenues from the tourism industry. Now, whispers abound in the Eurozone that in France, a similar crisis could be on the horizon.

With its entry into the Eurozone, Greece’s central bank lost much of its ability to kick the can down the road by printing money.  Long and short-term bond yields skyrocketed as the value of Greek debt plunged and bond investors fled to greener pastures. Greece’s 2015 default to the IMF totaled €1.6 billion.

Is France the Next Greece?

Source

France’s debt-to-GDP skyrocketed during COVID-19, and after etching downwards, it’s now trending back up and is expected to exceed COVID levels within a few years. The French economy is unsure of how to react to the policy promises of the left or the right, so whispers of a potential debt crisis have far from stopped just because volatile French markets are experiencing a momentary breath of relief.

Eyes are on the yield spread between France and Germany. Yields for “safe haven” German bonds have become the Eurozone benchmark, so the difference between German yields and those of other countries has become an indicator of the relative risk tolerance for investors in European government debt. Both France and Belgium were once considered low-risk “core” nations among European economies, but that narrative is now changing as the problem of overspending is recognized across what were once regarded as economically stable countries.

Meanwhile, the US has many of the same problems — raging deficits, low growth, rising debt-to-GDP ratio, and high inflation. The US also has more tricks to kick the can down the road, but few options for truly fixing the problem.

HOW BAD THE US DEBT CRISIS HAS BECOME?

US federal debt hit $34.8 trillion for the 1st time in history

In last 4 years, it has skyrocketed by $11 trillion, an equivalent of 40% US GDP.

By comparison, reaching the first $11 trillion it took 220 years.

How does it matter??1/11. pic.twitter.com/TnSUYPvCpd

— Global Markets Investor (@GlobalMktObserv) June 26, 2024

In 2010, the IMF defined an “unsustainable” debt-to-GDP ratio of an advanced economy to be around 180%. Officially, the current US debt-to-GDP ratio is “only” about 125%. But along with the Fed itself, Global lenders like the IMF are beginning to express concern about out-of-control budget deficits in major economies.

GDP alone doesn’t tell the story. A large part of the US GDP total is based on housing and the over-leveraged real estate market, an economic paper tiger that’s utterly dependent on low interest rates and central bank money printing. With real estate taking a range of 12 to 18% or more of the GDP pie depending on who you ask, the picture isn’t so reassuring. In Greece, the tourism industry was too dominant to handle an economic shock. In the US, it’s real estate.

There’s also the inconvenient truth that high inflation can make nominal GDP appear higher since the “market value” of the economy’s goods is higher on paper. When things cost more it can pump the GDP numbers, even though market value alone has nothing to do with whether an economy is healthy or unhealthy. Of course, Keynesians insist that this can equate to “real” growth, and economists continue debating if high GDP fuels high inflation, or the other way around.

Politicians love spending other people’s money because it makes them look good in the short term — and all that matters is winning that next election. But whether it’s Greece, France, Japan, or the US, there’s only so much debt a country can take on before entering a black hole. And there’s only so long that central banks can postpone the inevitable.

Neurosurgeon: Biden ‘Undoubtedly Has Parkinson’s Disease Dementia’

Medical expert confirms Biden exhibits classic signs of mild Parkinson’s dementia, such as the absence of facial expressions and ‘gait instability.’

President Joe Biden, 81, exhibits obvious signs of mild Parkinson’s disease dementia, a neurosurgeon claims.

The medical expert, who preferred to remain anonymous, gave confirmation of the neurological disease in an email to journalist Alex Berenson, saying Biden shows classic signs such as the absence of facial expressions and “gait instability.”

Responding to a previous article, where Berenson declared he’d vote Trump because “It’s obvious Joe Biden has some kind of age-related neurological illness, probably either Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s,” the neurosurgeon wrote:

He undoubtedly has Parkinson’s disease, and is increasingly suffering from Parkinson’s dementia.  The signs are unmistakable:

-his shuffling gait
-the absence of associated movements (facial expression, arm swinging). When he does swing his arms, it appears stilted – probably because his handlers have told him to swing his arms when he walks. It’s something we all do naturally, but it goes away in Parkinson’s disease
-gait instability
-soft voice
-ON and OFF periods – times when the medication seems to be working well, and when it isn’t (also explains how a good dose of Sinemet times right could get him more animated
-resting tremor is not prominent in Biden’s case, but this is true of many cases of Parkinsonism

The brain surgeon went on to assert Biden’s doctors “UNDOUBTEDLY know this,” adding, “this is worse than the Roosevelt secret.”

Judging by his current condition, the doctor assessed Biden over the next six months could begin having increased trouble walking, “eventually needing some sort of assistive device.”

“His gait and his expressionless face (called a ‘poker face’ in the Parkinson’s literature) are quite classic,” the neurosurgeon added.

Unfortunately for Democrats, the doctor’s diagnosis confirms their worst fears: they have a senile nursing home resident running as their party’s presidential candidate who will most assuredly lose to Donald Trump in November.
