An awesome New Year’s Eve celebration at Paris’ historic Arc de Triomphe landmark was diminished by thousands of revelers marking the start of 2024 by filming the countdown on their phones.

A disconcerting video making its rounds on social media depicts the moment thousands ringing in the new year in the capital of France raised their phones to film the countdown, projected onto the upper section of the Arc.

The astonishing sight prompted criticism, with many noting the footage illustrates how phones are causing people to become more detached from reality, making them fail to live in the moment.

“Not a single person living in the moment,” reads the caption of one viral X post.

“This is some dystopian s***,” another person commented, with another adding: “This is so sad, like there will be so many copies online from this why not just enjoy life.”

“I stopped doing this,” said another X user. “Why record something that hundreds of others are recording? Someone else has a better recording than you. And you can find it on YouTube or social media. It just doesn’t make sense, put the phone down and enjoy the moment.”

One Frenchman noted bizarre projections of fire on the Arc, asking, “What’s the message? ? it looks like they are announcing hell and what they are going to do to us.”

Hopefully, the footage does not suggest that 2024 will be a year of technological enslavement.

Biden administration doubles down on gaslighting and propaganda.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre started the new year with more lies about how puppet President Joe Biden is really doing all he can to secure the southern border.

Ignoring the hordes of migrants storming the U.S. border in recent weeks, Jean-Pierre claimed border security was at the top of Biden’s priority list from Day 1, but that his Republican counterparts have consistently thwarted his agenda.

“We need to do that,” Jean-Pierre told MSNBC on Tuesday. “We need to continue to work together on border security, right?”

“The president, first day in his administration, in a couple of weeks, we’re going to hit three years since the president [has] been in administration. The first thing that he put forward was a comprehensive immigration law. And that’s what he put forward to Congress. And that’s because he believed that our system was broken and that it had been broken for decades and wanted to take that seriously.”

She went on to claim with a straight face that Republicans have not wanted to work with the administration on a border plan.

“But we need, we need Republicans in Congress to work with us on that. We appreciate the negotiations that’s currently happening in the Senate. It’s headed into the right direction. We want to come up with a bipartisan agreement. But we saw what the House passed ending of last year. They wanted to take away law enforcement folks who are at the border trying to protect our border. And so that’s not what we want to see.”

Jean-Pierre clearly has her work cut out for her propagandizing and spinning reports for the inept Biden administration, as footage from the border continues to show throngs of illegal immigrants invading the country.

Just last week, Jean-Pierre attempted to gaslight the American people saying the hordes of illegals were part of an “ebb and flow” in migration patterns, and claiming it’s “not unusual.”

Of course, Biden himself told illegals to “immediately surge the border” during a 2019 Democrat presidential debate, revealing the current situation was planned long in advance.

“The proverbial Deep State within the intelligence community will reemerge because presumably a Republican candidate will again be seen as a threat to the internal policies that many intelligence people like,” says Dr. John Gentry.

A former CIA analyst is sounding the alarm about plans by intelligence agencies to get politically involved in the 2024 election to stop the Republican candidate.

Dr. John Gentry, a Georgetown professor who spent 12 years as a CIA intelligence analyst, said the politicization of intelligence agencies in the age of Trump has become a “significant problem” and is confident they will interfere in the 2024 election.

“My guess is that the the proverbial Deep State within the intelligence community will reemerge because presumably a Republican candidate will again be seen as a threat to the internal policies that many intelligence people like,” Gentry told Fox News.

Gentry pointed out how the CIA in a “clearly political” move days before the 2020 election with the “intent to help the Biden campaign” approved a letter penned by 51 former intelligence officials falsely claiming the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop published by the New York Post was “Russian disinformation.”

Gentry said he expects intelligence agencies to resume similar political ploys ahead of the 2024 election.

“I long have thought we are likely to again see former intelligence officers be politically active against Trump or whomever the Republican presidential candidate is next year, and I expect leaking to resume,” Gentry said. “The activities of ‘formers’ have resumed already, a bit before I expected.”

Gentry explained how the CIA and other agencies over the years have become “woke”, especially after the Obama administration accelerated “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” policies.

“It was an effort half a century ago to get more women and minorities into the intelligence community,” Gentry said. “This was done under the rubric of affirmative action. It gradually became more of a policy through the Clinton administration. But it took a significant step forward, or not, depending on your perspective, when President Obama signed an executive order designed to improve diversity and inclusion in the federal workforce.“

Specifically, Gentry said former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper were driving forces of DEI policies in the intelligence community.

Brennan and Clapper were both “very strongly supportive of Obama’s desire to transform the federal workforce, and so they began to accelerate this process and did a number of things from the standpoint of policy actions, in terms of specific recruitment efforts, for example, and they pushed their employees to be more concerned about diversity and inclusion issues and, even in Brennan’s case, to be politically active,” Gentry said.

Gentry went on to claim that the politicization of the agencies driven by the left has demoralized rank-and-file employees within these agencies.

“There are a lot of people who are unhappy about it because it’s politicizing the workforce, and it’s dividing the workforce among people who believe in DEI policies and those who don’t,” Gentry said. 

“And even in the Obama period, the analysis director had people who were beginning to talk about, quote, ‘soft totalitarianism,’” he continued.

“That was a direct result of Brennan’s top-down, politically driven policies; the totalitarianism being a reminder of the Soviet Union and China and so on. Well, this has a number of effects in terms of performance and in terms of credibility.”

“So, put all these things together, and I’m pretty confident that we’ll see a reemergence of activism,” Gentry added.

Soon after Joe Biden captured the White House in Jan. 2021, Time Magazine published an article explaining how a “well-funded cabal” of “powerful people” launched a “shadow campaign” to subvert the 2020 election to prevent Trump from getting reelected by “changing laws, steering media and controlling information.”

But don’t worry, the establishment is only interfering with democracy to protect democracy!

For the New Year, Congress should resolve to end the stranglehold of the military-industrial complex by reining in out-of-control military spending.

In the closing days of 2023, the Biden Administration once again announced a large military aid package for Ukraine, this time a “mere” quarter of a billion dollars. Without a new authorization of funds from Congress, it is said to be the last bit of money left over from the more than $100 billion already authorized by Congress for the proxy war with Russia through Ukraine.

President Biden’s request for an additional $100 billion to spread around Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan was rejected by a Congress eager for its winter break, and with each passing day it looks like it’s going to be harder to push it through. Poll after poll show that Americans are increasingly opposed to more of their money being spent on the neocon’s lost-cause war to overthrow Putin in Russia.

For example, a recent Fox News poll revealed that more than 60 percent of Republican voters do not want any more money sent to Ukraine. As we enter an election year, it’s probably safe to predict that Republican candidates will be wary of crossing the wishes of the clear majority of voters.

That is why the Biden Administration has been desperately trying to re-frame its request for more Ukraine war money as anything but a request for more Ukraine war money. For example, they even brought back the old discredited “domino theory” used to justify US actions in the Vietnam war. If we don’t stop Putin in Ukraine, Biden said in December, then he will keep going into western Europe where we will be forced to fight him there.

On the one hand, supporters of the Ukraine war warn that Russia is about to reconstitute the Soviet empire in Europe, while at the same time the same people tell us Russia is out of missiles and on its last leg. One more infusion of US money will end the “Russian threat” once and for all. Both of these things cannot be true at once. In fact, neither of them is true.

But still the Administration, much of Congress, and an insatiable military-industrial complex keep selling the lies.

Last month Secretary of State Antony Blinken inadvertently revealed what exactly all the spending for war is about when he stated that as much as 90 percent of the aid for Ukraine is actually spent in the United States. The money is used “to the benefit of American business, local communities, and strengthening the US defense industrial base,” he said in an interview. In other words, the money “for Ukraine” is actually a massive welfare program for well-connected military contractors back home.

As we begin the year 2024, we need to home in on the real threat to the United States. It is not Russia or China or Iran. The true threat is closer to home: it is a corrupt system that bleeds the country dry to fight imaginary enemies while enriching the military-industrial complex.

For the New Year, Congress should resolve to end the stranglehold of the military-industrial complex by reining in out-of-control military spending. Members should simply vote “no” on military spending bills until they are drafted to benefit the American people rather than the Beltway elite. I don’t hold out much hope of this happening in the short run, but it only takes a few dedicated Members to make a real difference.

‘Congressional districts are apportioned to states based on the population of citizens and NONCITIZENS,’ warns GOP rep. Thomas Massie.

Congressmen Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) and Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) proposed an amendment to the U.S. Constitution this week that would prevent states with large numbers of illegal aliens from being represented more in Congress and the Electoral College.

Davidson posted on ? Tuesday, “Congressional districts should be drawn based on the population of US citizens only. The Census should specifically count US citizens for apportionment of representation. Only US citizens are represented by the US Congress. California has 5-7 extra members of Congress because the Census uses the total population. I have legislation that would end that practice.”

Massie also issued a message on ?, writing, “I have cosponsored this proposed Amendment to the Constitution. Currently, Congressional districts are apportioned to states based on the population of citizens and NONCITIZENS which gives states with numerous illegal aliens an advantage in Congress and in the Electoral College.”

When one ? user pointed out the amendment “isn’t needed” because it’s “already unconstitutional to count noncitizens in the allocation process,” Massie addressed the constituent’s concern.

“This could be changed without a Constitutional amendment, and even without a law, but then it would be challenged in the courts. The best way to put it to bed is a constitutional amendment,” the congressman suggested.

This common-sense idea could help address the fact that states have an incentive to bring in illegals so they get more political power.
