Video: Newsom Witnesses Shoplifting, Cashier Blamed ‘The Governor’ Without Realizing Who He Was
California Governor Gavin Newsom recalled an amusingly ironic tale where a cashier blamed the state’s rampant retail thefts on his policies to his face without even realizing who he was.
In a Zoom call last week, Newsom explained how he witnessed a shoplifting during checkout at a Target in Sacramento then asked the store’s employee why nobody stopped the thief.
“She goes, ‘oh, the governor.’ Swear to God, true story on my mom’s grave,” Newsom said.

“The governor lowered the threshold, there’s no accountability,” the worker said.
At that point the cashier recognized Newsom and wanted to take pictures.
“She looks at me twice and then she freaks out, she calls everyone over, wants to take photos,” Newsom said.
Without a hint of self-awareness, Newsom then recalled becoming frustrated that he was being blamed for the shoplifting and asking for the manager.
“I’m like, ‘no we’re not taking a photo, we’re having a conversation, where’s your manager? How are you blaming the governor?’”
“And it was $380 later, and I was like ‘Why am I spending $380, everyone else can walk the hell right out?”
Thanks to Democrats’ soft-on-crime policies, district attorneys, and the radical governor, California has the highest rate of violent crime in the nation, which has in part resulted in the highest rate of net outmigration.
Slovakia Prime Minister Orders Investigation into COVID-19 Response & Vaccines Over 21,000 Excess Deaths Since 2020
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in a speech before the European Parliament this week announced Slovakia would launch an investigation into the “COVID circus” related to the experimental vaccine rollout and pandemic response measures.
“We will never understand the truth about what role pharmaceutical companies played and who actually organized the entire COVID-19 circus,” Fico said. “With this in mind, ladies and gentlemen, the Government of the Slovak Republic has decided to include a promise to resolve this issue in official announcements.”

“The Slovak people simply need an answer. He needs answers about vaccination, what it actually was,” he continued. “What was it really? Why were various experimental vaccines given to people without any testing? Why were all sorts of drugs pushed on people? Why was there statewide testing? Who bought these? Why were these purchased? How much quantity was purchased? How much money was spent on that? We end up with billions, billions!”
Fico went on to explain that the investigation is especially warranted given Slovakia saw 21,000 excess deaths since 2020, which he blamed on “government incompetence.”
“We have 21,000 deaths, which we connect with the fact that the governments that were here since 2020 were not capable of managing (the pandemic) and cared only about economic gains and of course made sure they were bowing to pharmaceutical companies from which they bought huge quantities of useless medical equipment and often also vaccines,” he said.
Fico said Slovakia will create a new government office specifically to investigate the matter and appoint its Deputy of the National Assembly to lead the probe and publish its results.
“Based on what we have available, we want to know what really happened. I think that Dr. Kotlar, Deputy of the National Assembly, is equipped with sufficient information,” he said. “I see that he is prepared, even when it comes to keeping the team together. I asked him to discuss everything in the cabinet before making any public statement. And I am absolutely, I repeat, absolutely confident that his work will yield results, Which we will publish and tell the Slovak public what really happened during this COVID period.”
“Today we know one thing: Previous governments absolutely failed to manage Covid and left 21,000 people to their own devices. And, as we all know, they made a lot of money from unnecessary purchases of various medical supplies and vaccines,” he concluded.
In December, Rico rejected the World Health Organization’s (WHO) so-called Pandemic Treaty, calling it “nonsense invented by greedy pharma companies.”

This comes as a group of scientists recently released a peer-reviewed article calling on governments to endorse a global moratorium on the experimental COVD mRNA injections until all questions about its safety profile are answered.
“Once a proper assessment of the safety and efficacy claims was made herein — upon which the emergency use authorization (EUA)’s and ultimate final authorizations were granted — it was found that the COVID-19 injectable products were neither safe nor effective,” said co-author Jessica Rose, Ph.D.

Maher: Biden ‘Can Fix’ Border Now, ‘He Already Has the Existing Laws’
HBO late night host Bill Maher accused Joe Biden of pretending to need a new law to address the border crisis he created, noting he already has the power to “fix” the border.
During his Friday show “Real Time”, Maher argued Republicans too are feigning interest in securing the border, claiming they don’t actually want to fix the problem because that’d be one less issue to run on ahead of the 2024 election.
“Republicans act like they want to solve this, but the Democrats called their bluff. There is a bill right now that, a lot of them, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), some pretty conservative senators, saying, this is as good a deal as you’re going to get. They don’t want it, because they don’t want this issue to be solved. Because they need it as an issue.”
New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) later pointed out, “Joe Biden has a lot of power to change a lot of policy and affect the immigration issue.”
Maher replied, “That’s true. That’s my other — I was going to say, part two of the acting is Joe Biden saying, you know what? If you just give me a new law. A new law?”
“Why doesn’t — the President can fix this. He already has the existing laws. This is all so silly. I need a piece of paper from Congress to deal with the border. No, you already have that,” he added.
This comes as Biden has been pressuring Congress to pass a bill granting the federal government more funding to process the hordes of illegal migrants at the southern border.

But a comprehensive list released by House Speaker Mike Johnson on Friday details 64 policy decision Biden made since taking the White House that “intentionally” undermined border security and contradict his talking points that he wants to solve the issue, including halting the border wall, promising amnesty to illegals, scrapping Title 42, and rolling back background check procedures.
ICE Deports Illegal Alien Wanted for Rape Released Into US Under Biden
An illegal alien from Brazil who was released into the United States under Joe Biden has been deported to face rape charges in his homeland, authorities say.
On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the removal of Thalles Mendes Ribeiro, a Brazilian fugitive who illegally entered the U.S. during the first year of the Biden administration.
Mendes Ribeiro was originally apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) near San Ysidro, California, on June 10, 2021.
“USBP served Mendes with a notice to appear charging him with inadmissibility,” ICE explained in a press release.
“USBP transferred Mendes to ERO San Diego’s custody on June 13, 2021. On the same date, ERO San Diego released Mendes under the Alternatives to Detention program and ordered him to report to ERO Newark.”
When Mendes skipped his immigration court hearing on February 24, 2023, a judge in Newark, New Jersey, ordered his removal from the country in absentia.
Nearly 10 months later, Mendes was caught by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Eatontown, New Jersey, on December 4, 2023.
He was transferred to the custody of ICE ERO Philadelphia and held until January 26, when he was deported to Brazil to face his charges there.
U.S. authorities continue to apprehend dangerous foreign criminals who have either been released into the country by the Biden administration or snuck in undetected.

RFK Jr Slams American Attacks on Syria and Iraq
The US should withdraw its ground troops from Middle Eastern countries that do not welcome them, independent candidate for US president Robert F. Kennedy Jr has said.
He said the escalation could have been avoided, reacting in an X (formerly Twitter) post to Washington’s attack on more than 80 targets allegedly linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) in Iraq and Syria in a wide-ranging air assault.
US Central Command says it hit 85 Iranian-linked targets in Syria and Iraq in retaliation against the recent “Iran-affiliated” fighters’ attack that killed three US servicemen in Jordan. President Joe Biden’s X post read that the US does not “seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world. But to all those who seek to do us harm: We will respond,” despite Iran denying involvement in the incident.
“If we ‘do not seek conflict,’ then let’s get the troops out of there,” Kennedy said, apparently reacting to Biden’s statement. “They are not welcome. They are not needed,” he added.
If we “do not seek conflict,” then let’s get the troops out of there. They are not welcome. They are not needed. They are indefensible targets for anyone in the region who wants to provoke a conflict. Get them out! https://t.co/rMMhSf2V30
— Robert F. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) February 3, 2024
Kennedy claimed that the current escalation would not have been necessary if Washington hadn’t put its military “in the crosshairs” of Shiite militias. He described the existence of these groups “as a legacy of our illegal war in Iraq.” He recalled that both Iraq and Syria had asked the US troops to leave their territory while Iran would not tolerate America’s military presence on its borders.
Besides pulling US troops “out of the Mideast,” Kennedy urged Washington to forge ties with regional powers instead. The presidential candidate also described the troop presence in the area as “indefensible targets for anyone in the region who wants to provoke a conflict.”
Iraq has rebuked the US over the airstrikes, saying they constitute “a violation of Iraqi sovereignty” and “pose a threat that could lead Iraq and the region into dire consequences. The Syrian military, as quoted by SANA news agency, denounced the raid as “the aggression of the American occupation forces.”
