Switzerland Mulling ‘Secret Agreements’ with NATO
The Swiss government could revise its security policy by intensifying military cooperation with NATO, representing a significant adjustment to its longstanding policy of neutrality, the Blick news outlet reported on Sunday, citing a draft of a document it reviewed.
According to Blick, on August 29, the Federal Department of Defense led by Swiss President Viola Amherd will present a report from a study commission which is intended to provide “impulses for security policy in the coming years.”
One of the recommendations is to increase cooperation with NATO, which, the commission argues, would “strengthen Switzerland’s defense capabilities.”
“NATO will remain the security guarantor for Europe for the foreseeable future. It is the benchmark for modern Western armies and defines the standards for Western military technology,” the report stated.
Switzerland maintains “permanent neutrality” in accordance with its constitution. Its obligations include refraining “from engaging in wars,” prohibiting shipments of weapons to war zones from or through its territory and providing mercenary troops to countries involved in armed conflicts, as well as ensuring its own defense.
While the commission did not recommend membership in the bloc, it suggested signing “secret agreements” to cover “threats from long-range missiles, extensive cyber warfare against European states, or airspace violations.”

The report also says Switzerland should “seriously” prepare for collective defense, including taking part in NATO exercises. The daily noted that this contradicts Swiss neutrality.
The experts also called on Switzerland to revisit the Federal Act on War Materiel, which prohibits the direct delivery of Swiss tanks to Ukraine. The document noted that this policy “causes confusion and frustration among the EU and NATO.”
In conclusion, the experts recommended that the policy of neutrality should be revised to allow the country to “formulate its stance on possible conflicts (China-Taiwan, Russia-NATO) in a timely manner and anticipate possible demands.”
Blick noted that both the Left and the Swiss People’s Party are likely to object to the newly devised strategy and will do everything to prevent “more NATO, more EU, and less neutrality.”
Swiss neutrality has been called into question by Russia; Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused Bern of becoming “openly hostile” to Moscow, as it has supported Western sanctions on Russia and has frozen billions in Russian assets.
According to a poll published in March, around 91% of the Swiss population say the country should remain neutral.
Walz’s Battalion Commander Shreds Him in Facebook Post
Tim Walz’s battalion commander shredded Tim Walz in a long Facebook post, saying that he does “not regret that Tim Walz retired early” from the National Guard to avoid a deployment to Iraq.
John Kolb became lieutenant colonel of Walz’s battalion of the Minnesota Army National Guard in 2005, not long after Walz retired.
“Feeling a need to say this,” Kolb began his post.
“I do not regret that Tim Walz retired early from the Minnesota Army National Guard, did not complete the Sergeants Major Academy, broke his enlistment contract or did not successfully complete any assignment as a Sergeant Major. Unwittingly, he got out of the way for better leadership”
Kolb then went on to praise the man who replaced Walz.
“Thomas Behrends was the right leader at the right time. He sacrificed to answer the call, leaving his family, business and farming-partner brother to train, lead and care for soldiers. He earned the privilege of being called Command Sergeant Major. Like a great leader he ran toward and not away from the guns.”
The post didn’t end there.
“I have no opinion of Mr. Walz’s decision to leave service at the time he did,” Kolb continued. “It was his right to retire early. I also have no criticism of his service as an E7 and E8 in the MNARNG. By all accounts and on the record, he was a competent Chief of Firing Battery/Gunnery Sergeant and First Sergeant. I cannot say the same of his service sitting, frocked, in the CSM chair. He did not earn the rank or successfully complete any assignment as an E9. It is an affront to the Noncommissioned Officer Corps that he continues to glom onto the title. I can sit in the cockpit of an airplane, it does not make me a pilot. Similarly, when the demands of service and leadership at the highest level got real, he chose another path. #notmyCSM.”

A separate denunciation was posted on Facebook by the man Kolb praised as Walz’s replacement, Thomas Behrends, who has previously spoken out against Walz.
“Traitor, Deserter, Military Imposter, Kamelaeon Party Leader Tim Walz has been drug out of his outhouse and into the light, so we the American people can conduct an archeological dig of what lies below. As we descend into the depths of lies and deceit, who knows how deep the disgusting and despicable pit goes? I’m guessing that we will be digging for many moons, and when we think we have hit bottom, we will pop out in China. A picture of who he thinks he is, and another of who he really is.”

In an interview with Alpha News in September 2022, Behrends said of Walz, “The public needs to know how pathetic his leadership was as a National Guardsman.”
“He abandoned us. What the hell kind of leader does that? As soon as the shots were fired in Iraq, he turned and ran the other way and hung his hat up and quit.”
Since being chosen as the Vice President’s presumptive running mate for the presidency, Governor Walz has come under intense scrutiny for his radical policies as governor and also for misleading comments about his military record, made over many years.
Newly resurfaced video from a hearing in 2008 shows Minnesota Governor Tim Walz implying heavily that he suffered PTSD from deployment to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Walz was speaking to the family of a Gold Star veteran at the House Veterans Affairs Committee on Veterans and Mental Health when he made remarks that suggested he had personal experience of PTSD after serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004 with the National Guard.
“I can tell you this, having been one of those that came back. We were in support of OEF [Operation Enduring Freedom]… when we came back, they showed us the horse whisperer and told us to be nice when we went home. And that was the extent of it. That was in 2004.”
Walz has been accused of “stolen valor” for inflating his rank and the importance of his operational deployments. Walz never took part in Operation Enduring Freedom, the name for US operations directly in and above Afghan territory, but was posted to Italy with the National Guard in a support role.
“Start with One Million:” Vance Reaffirms Commitment to Mass Deportations
JD Vance reaffirmed Trump’s commitment to a policy of mass deportations, in an interview with ABC on Sunday.
Trump has pledged to deport up to 20 million people who are in the US illegally. ABC anchor Jonathan Karl asked Vance whether that policy was practical.
“One of the proposals in the platform you’ve talked about, and Trump has talked about, is a mass deportation. You said he said he’ll start with the easy ones, the criminals, people who commit crimes, deport them, but he said deporting 15 million to 20 million people, how do you actually do that?”
After some jockeying over whether Kamala was “border czar” or not, Vance outlined exactly how the policy would work.
“There’s 20 million people here illegally,” Vance said.
“You start with what’s achievable. You do that, and then you go onto what’s achievable from there. If you deport a lot of violent criminals and frankly if you make it harder to hire illegal labor, I think you go a lot of the way to solving the illegal immigration problem. But look, President Trump is absolutely right. You cannot have a border unless you’re willing to deport some people. I think it’s interesting that people focus on, well, how do you deport 18 million people? Let’s start with 1 million. That’s where Kamala Harris has failed and we can go from there.”

Vance blasted Biden and Kamala Harris for their “open border” policy on immigration, and said that the Vice President needs to “sit down” and actually lay out her policy positions for the American public. Harris has faced persistent criticism since her selection for failing to hold a formal press conference or submit to an interview with the media.
Trump’s running-mate also said he thought the election would be “very tight.”
“Look, I think that we are going to have a very tight election, Jon, and that we just have to sprint to the finish line. We have about 88 days to actually persuade the American people that President Trump should be their president and me their vice president. And I think you just take nothing for granted. You don’t believe any polls, whether the ones that are good for you or bad for you, you just try to persuade people as much as you can and the chips are going to fall where they are.”
Trump Posts Again on Twitter
Former president Donald Trump has made his first written post on Twitter since being reinstated by Elon Musk.
This Monday morning, Trump posted a 2.5 minute campaign video with a written message to the American people.
“They want to silence me because I will never let them silence you,” Trump wrote.
“They’re not coming after me, they’re coming after you. I just happen to be standing in their way and I’m never moving. We will Make America Great Again! #TrumpOnX.”

The video shows scenes from Trump’s presidency and focuses, in particular, on his political persecution by his enemies and the deep state, and reiterates the written message of the post—that the real target of Trump’s enemies is the American people.

Trump had only made one post since his reinstatement, posting his mugshot, taken in Fulton County Jail. Trump had preferred his own social-media platform, Truth Social, which was set up in the wake of his banning from Twitter and other social-media platforms.
Trump’s post comes ahead of a blockbuster interview on Twitter tonight with Elon Musk, which will be posted on Trump’s account (@realdonaldtrump) at 8pm EST.
Trump Returns to Twitter Tonight!
Former President Donald Trump will return to Twitter tonight, in an “interview of the century” with platform owner Elon Musk.
The interview will air tonight at 8pm EST, via the @realdonaldtrump Twitter account. This will be Trump’s first substantial posting on the platform since being suspended from it in the wake of 6 January, 2021, and then reinstated after Musk took over. Trump has only made one post since his reinstatement, posting his mugshot, taken in Fulton County Jail.
The interview was announced last Tuesday by Trump on his Truth Social account.
A post from the Team Trump account on Sunday evening reminded users that the interview is taking place and that it promises to be a blockbuster.
“President Trump is asking you to like this post. President Trump will be interviewed by Elon Musk on Monday at 8 pm Eastern. Like this post to be notified when the interview begins. IT WILL BE THE INTERVIEW OF THE CENTURY! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
In the last month, following the assassination attempt at Butler, Pennsylvania, Elon Musk has expressed open support for Trump. Hours after the failed attempt on Trump’s life, Musk posted on Twitter, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
During a recent interview with Lex Fridman, Musk stated that he believed Trump displayed great courage with his “fist pump” gesture and that the president must be “strong and courageous.”
“You can’t feign bravery in a situation like that,” Musk told Fridman.
“The President of the United States has got to represent the country. And they’re representing you. They’re representing everyone in America. You want someone who is strong and courageous to represent the country. That’s not to say that he’s without flaws. We all have flaws. But on balance, and certainly at the time, it was a choice of Biden—poor guy, has trouble climbing a flight of stairs, and the other one’s fist-pumping after getting shot. No comparison. Who do you want dealing with some of the toughest people and other world leaders who are pretty tough themselves?”
Border Agents Bust Illegals at El Paso Airbnb
Federal immigration authorities apprehended more than a dozen illegal aliens and a human smuggler at an Airbnb being used as a stash house in El Paso, Texas.
On Friday, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announced a bust executed with support from U.S. Border Patrol and Texas Department of Public Safety in the West Texas city.
Agents arrested “13 migrants & 1 smuggler in a stash house rented through Airbnb in Central El Paso,” HSI explained in a statement on social media.

HSI, USBP, and TxDPS smashed another stash house in El Paso just days prior.
On Tuesday, 56 illegals from Mexico and Central America were found inside a residence in West El Paso.

Since October 1, at least 235 stash houses have been “disrupted” and more than 2,300 illegal aliens “rescued” in USBP’s El Paso Sector alone.
Las Cruces Anti-smuggling BP Agents & HSI have disrupted multiple stash houses in the past 30 days.
