Black Judge Arrested for Shooting Ex-Boyfriend in Head While He Slept
A black judge in Pennsylvania was arrested last week after she allegedly shot her ex-boyfriend in the head while he was asleep, then attempted to claim he himself fired the gunshot that caused him to go blind in one eye.
According to court records, Magisterial District Judge Sonya McKnight, 57, was charged with first-degree attempted murder and aggravated assault for shooting ex Michael McCoy in his home last Thursday.
Reports state McCoy had attempted “numerous times” to break off a year-long relationship with McKnight and had asked her to move her belongings out of his home.
However, when he returned home from a bar last week he found McKnight in her pajamas relaxing in his living room.
After McKnight finally agreed to leave, McCoy went to bed around 11PM when he was awoken shortly thereafter suffering “massive head pain.”
McKnight then entered the bedroom and tried to gaslight McCoy into believing he shot himself while he slept.
The New York Post reports:
He panicked, screaming in pain and confusion, which alerted McKnight to come bolting into the bedroom.
“Mike, what did you do to yourself?” McKnight asked her estranged boyfriend upon entering the room, according to police.
During a 9-1-1 call around 1AM, McKnight was reportedly unable to explain how McCoy injured himself, and “stated that she was sleeping and heard him screaming.”
However, police found a gun registered in McKnight’s name at McCoy’s home and detected gunshot residue on her hands.
Moreover, McCoy, who miraculously survived being shot in the right temple, insisted to police at the scene he didn’t shoot himself, as McKnight claimed.
She also claimed she hadn’t left the scene, but a neighbor’s doorbell camera showed McKnight had in fact left and come back to the home.
McCoy suggested this could mean McKnight had followed and stalked him while he was at the bar.
McKnight, who has served as an elected judge in Dauphin County since 2016, has now been suspended and her bail has been set at $300,000 as she faces up to 40 years in prison.
Her case has been moved to nearby Cumberland County because of a conflict of interest.

In 2019, McKnight shot her estranged husband, Enoch McKnight, in his groin after asking him to come to her home to help her move furniture, Pennlive.com reported.
The couple married in 2014 but had filed for divorce two years later. However, the divorce was still pending at the time of the shooting, which was ruled to be self-defense as the pair were in the midst of a domestic dispute.
Anti-Trump Resistance ‘Burned Out on Outrage,’ NYT Warns
The anti-Trump resistance of the Left is running out of steam ahead of the 2024 presidential election due to “crisis fatigue,” according to the New York Times.
The NYT reported Monday that the anti-Trump left is “exhausted” and “crisis-ed out” heading into the election, and the broader electorate is beginning to tune them out.

This year, anti-Trump voters are grappling with another powerful sentiment: exhaustion.
“Some folks are burned out on outrage,” said Rebecca Lee Funk, the Washington-based founder of the Outrage, a progressive activism group and a purveyor of resistance-era apparel. “People are tired. I think last election we were desperate to get Trump out of office, and folks were willing to rally around that singular call to action. And this election feels different.”
But for Democrats, the mission is similar: Now defending the White House, President Joe Biden is trying to reassemble that sprawling anti-Trump coalition, casting the 2024 contest as another battle to save American democracy as Trump moves toward the Republican nomination.
Biden, however, has a lot of work to do. Interviews with nearly two dozen Democratic voters, activists and officials make clear his challenge in energizing Americans who are unenthusiastic about a likely 2020 rematch, are worried about his age, and, in some cases, are struggling to sustain the searing anger toward Trump that Democrats have relied on for nearly a decade.
“We’re kind of, like, crises-ed out,” said Shannon Caseber, 36, a security guard in Pittsburgh who called the prospect of a Trump-Biden rematch a “dumpster fire.” She added, “It’s crisis fatigue, for sure.”
Caseber, a Democrat who would back Biden over Trump, added, “Any sense of urgency that we had with the 2020 election — I think it’s still there in the sense that no one wants Trump to be president, at least for Democrats, but it’s exhausting.”
The Times went on to point out recent polls that further highlighted the left’s lack of motivation to vote in the upcoming election.
A CNN poll recently asked how motivated Americans were to vote in the election. Republicans, out of power and eager to regain it, were more likely to say “extremely motivated.” A Yahoo News/YouGov poll asked voters last fall about their attitudes toward the 2024 election. Thirty-nine percent of Democrats picked “exhaustion” from the list of sentiments offered (a close second to “dread”). Just 26% of Republicans chose “exhaustion.”
Max Dower, the founder of the clothing line Unfortunate Portrait, explained how a shirt he designed reflecting his apathy toward the 2024 election was well-received online.
“We’ve dealt with so many emergencies these past few years: national emergencies, perceived emergencies, real emergencies — it’s just kind of like, that is not really a strong motivator for me anymore,” said Dower, adding he would likely not be voting for Trump.
“A lot of us would like a more positive thing to motivate us,” he added. “Not just purely, ‘Do this or else this bad thing is going to happen.’”

Footage going viral online shows a biological male posing as a woman allegedly injuring a female basketball player during a recent high school girl’s basketball game.
The male plays for KIPP Academy in Massachusetts and according to a Fox News Digital source, he sports facial hair and stands over 6 feet tall.
Watch below as the student slams a female player to the ground as she goes for a rebound.

The Collegiate Charter School of Lowell forfeited the game after the injury.
The school issued a press release, explaining their basketball team already had several injuries and that after three girls were hurt playing against KIPP Academy, “the remaining five [players] expressed concern” about continuing to play.
“The players feared getting injured and not being able to compete in the playoffs,” the statement reads.

It’s not clear if the transgender player injured the other two girls or if the trans opponent contributed to the players’ decision to forfeit.
Collegiate Charter School of Lowell Athletic Director Kyle Pelczar claimed the trans player had nothing to do with the forfeiture, saying the coaches knew they were playing the biological male as they already played KIPP Academy in the first game of the year.
Of course, the school officials could be trying to avoid rocking the boat by downplaying the trans opponent’s injuring of their player.
