A report by GatewayHispanic.com breaks down how Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is arresting his political opposition after the nation’s recent election results being questioned have led to skirmishes that could turn into an all-out civil war.

The article explains Maduro’s campaign chief and President of the National Assembly Jorge Rodríguez has demanded the imprisonment of Venezuelan opposition leaders Edmundo González Urrutia and María Corina Machado.

Rodríguez claimed the pair of politicians wish to create “unease, instability, suffering, dismissal, theft, and death” in Venezuela, and compared them to Argentina’s Javier Milei.

Leader of the political party Voluntad Popular, Freddy Superlano, was reportedly shot at and kidnapped by Maduro’s forces.

In footage allegedly showing the moment Superlano was caught, armed men are seen dragging several people out of a vehicle, placing them into a separate car and swiftly driving away.

Maduro also signed an arrest warrant for opposition leader María Corina Machado, according to Gateway Hispanic.

The communist government is going after its political opposition as a last ditch effort to remain in power as it’s clear the people are looking for new leadership.

Labour will have “zero qualms about surrendering British sovereignty,” says migration expert.

In a further dilution of Brexit, Britain’s new Labour government continues to tell journalists that “we are not considering a youth mobility scheme” with the European Union—that is to say, a return in some form of free movement.

Yet when Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez made the case for a UK-Spain migration agreement at a meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) earlier this month, reportedly, UK PM Sir Keir Starmer was not dismissive of the idea. The PM’s attitude going into these talks is at odds with the wishes of millions of voters.

The Daily Telegraph writes that Starmer, who is a long-time supporter of free movement, “is understood not to have rejected the proposal and said he would consider it.” Its report added that

His private openness to the idea is in contrast with his public position in April, when Labour rejected an EU-wide youth mobility deal floated by Brussels.

Starmer saw the EPC meeting, hosted in the UK, as an opportunity to “reset” national relations with Brussels. But with almost every British sector, including housing, healthcare, education, transport and prisons—as Labour itself puts it—broken, now is far from the right time to consider further relaxing Britain’s borders.

Robert Bates, research director at the Centre for Migration Control think tank, described the prime minister’s discussion with Sánchez as “a case study in how Labour plans to saddle Britain with free movement via stealth.”

Step-by-step, the UK will cave into European demands. Whether it be a deal on young people, illegal migrants who crossed the Mediterranean, or temporary workers, Keir Starmer will have zero qualms about surrendering British sovereignty.

Bates added that Starmer’s own record of supporting the freedom of movement—and that of the new home secretary Yvette Cooper, who “proudly sat in Cabinet whilst [then-Labour PM] Gordon Brown committed Britain to an influx of millions”—should put Britons in “no doubt that this is only the start of the damage Labour plans to inflict on our country, its sovereignty, and our society.”

In Labour’s first full day in office, the German government celebrated that it was already “working with the new UK government to see how the UK can move closer to the EU.”

In a worrying sign for British patriots, Brussels sources have made it clear that any renegotiated Brexit deal will likely involve a relaxation of freedom of movement rules. Future discussions with EU leaders must be watched closely.

Brown, who is visibly scarred from being severely burned while fighting in Afghanistan in 2008, is now running for senate in the state of Nevada.

In a video replying to Democrats calling him “weird,” Brown said, “It’s not the first time I’ve been called ‘weird’ because of my scars.”

He wrote, “Yes, you can call my face weird. It won’t be the first or last time I’ve heard it. But my message is not to you. My message is to anyone else who has been put down or called ‘weird’ because of their experiences or who they are… I say to you: do not allow others to define you.”

“I’m proud of my scars. They might look a little different, but it gives me an opportunity to encourage others. I encourage every one of you to lean into the things that make you unique and that others may call “weird” and realize that your experience, whether it is suffering or something else, gives you an opportunity to connect with others and give them hope. You are loved. You are appreciated. The things that make you unique can also be your greatest strength,” Brown continued.
