Max Azzarello made multiple campaign donations to Bernie Sanders

Max Azzarello, the man who set himself on fire outside the Trump trial in New York on Friday night, was a “Bernie bro”—a committed Bernie Sanders supporter—and made multiple campaign contributions dating back to 2015.

Twitter account Libs of Tik Tok unearthed Azzarello’s history of campaign contributions in a post on Friday night. Libs of Tik Tok also drew attention to a photo of Azzarello wearing a Bernie t-shirt.

Between December 2015 and March 2020, Mr Azzarello made a total of 16 declared donations either to the Bernie Sanders campaign or ActBlue, the Democrat fundraising platform. ActBlue can be used to make campaign contributions to all Democratic candidates. Bernie Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 campaigns both used ActBlue to accept donations.

The donation history also reveals that Azzarello worked at one point for the progressive social-justice NGO the Liberty Hill Foundation, based in Los Angeles. The organization was founded in 1976 by Sarah Pillsbury, the heiress to the Pillsbury baking empire.

A photograph of a vehicle apparently belonging to Azzarello has also emerged, which will add further credence to speculation that deep-seated anger at the fate of Bernie Sanders may have influenced Azzarello’s decision to self-immolate.

“Trump is with Hillary and they’re about to fascist coup us,” the back of the vehicle reads, with a link to Azzarello’s Substack page, where he posted his manifesto.

A hatred of the Clintons would make sense for a Bernie supporter. Bernie Sanders lost the Democratic nomination to Hillary Clinton in 2016, in an election that was widely dismissed as “rigged” by Sanders supporters and other key figures within the Democrat party, including Elizabeth Warren.

A photo of Azzarello with Hillary’s husband, the former president Bill Clinton, has been circulating on social media, but the date of the photograph is unknown at this time.

Azzarello was arrested last year in Florida for throwing wine on a framed autograph of Bill Clinton. The arrest was part of an apparent mental break and multiple run-ins with the law that appear to have a clear bearing on his actions on Friday.

In his protest outside the courthouse, Azzarello waved a banner claiming that Biden was also colluding with Trump.

Max Azzarello, the man who set himself on fire outside the Trump Trial, has died at a New York hospital.

The self-described “investigative researcher” had travelled from Florida to New York days before he set himself on fire, to protest at the trial. He had been protesting loudly against both sides of the political spectrum, claiming that Biden and Trump are colluding together to destroy American democracy, before setting himself on fire on Friday afternoon.

At one point he held up a sign saying, “Trump is with Biden and they’re about to fascist coup us.”

As he set himself on fire, Azzarello threw a large stack of pamphlets into the air that included a link to a long manifesto he had published on Substack, justifying his self-immolation. The manifesto includes details of the “fascist coup” that is supposedly about to take place. It began, according to Azzarello, when “a billionaire named Peter Thiel started a bank run on Silicon Valley Bank.”

“My name is Max Azzarello, and I am an investigative researcher who has set himself on fire outside of the Trump trial in Manhattan,” the manifesto begins.

“This extreme act of protest is to draw attention to an urgent and important discovery:

“We are victims of a totalitarian con, and our own government (along with many of their allies) is about to hit us with an apocalyptic fascist world coup.”

Azzarello described his self-immolation as an “act of revolution.”

New details have emerged that are shedding further light on Azzarello’s political beliefs and his state of mind at the time of the suicide. Azzarello was arrested three times in St Augustine, Florida last year over the course of a few days, with official police reports describing him as unemployed and suicidal.

His first documented run-in with local police was on August 19, 2023, when he allegedly threw a glass of wine at a framed autograph of Bill Clinton in the lobby of the Casa Monica Hotel.

A picture was posted on Twitter on Friday of Azzarello with Bill Clinton.

Two days after the first arrest, he was arrested again, at the same hotel, allegedly stripping down to his underwear and shouting at customers. An officer also saw him allegedly climb into a fountain on a nearby property.

On August 24, he was observed on surveillance allegedly writing on a small sign outside the Little Free Library before destroying a pest control sign nearby.

According to the police report, Azzarello misinterpreted the sign as saying the pest-control company was there to “exterminate children and dogs.”

Police mugshots from the arrests show Azzarello pulling a series of bizarre expressions.

In an unverified claim he posted to Facebook ten days before his first arrest, Azzarello claimed to have spent “three days in the psych ward,” pushing the beginning of his criminal spree—and possibly the mental break that caused it—to the beginning of August 2023.

“Three days in the psych ward and all I got were my new favourite socks,” he wrote, before writing a rambling post describing “the good,” “the bad,” and “the ugly” of his time in the institution, which included an evaluation of the effectiveness of the current system of incarceration.

In a section of the post he argued that if the goal of incarceration is truly rehabilitation, the system followed by the “Spanish Anarchists” in the 1930s should be followed.

“While incarcerated, there was no hierarchy between staff and prisoners. You wouldn’t be able to distinguish one from the others, so there was no opposing force even in detainment. Pretty rad, right? If the goal is rehabilitation (and that should be the only goal), I’ll bet that model would produce tremendous results.”

He ended the post by describing the circumstances of his arrest—“the bad— claiming that he had been arrested for writing a profanity on a Starbucks receipt and handing it to a cashier, who called the police on him. Officers then arrived at his apartment a few hours later. Azzarello claimed in the post that his gesture was a “double entendre” which was misinterpreted by the Starbucks manager because Starbacks is “hellworld.”

“I was handcuffed, shoved, and put into a psych ward. I was given no information about why I was there until after my discharge.”

“Though I committed no crime and was released upon my first evaluation, all background checks (like the ones for jobs) will show an incident with police officers that cannot be expunged.”

18-year-old Honduran arrested after leaving scene of fatal wreck, authorities say

A suspect arrested for killing a Democrat operative in a hit-and-run crash this month in Nevada is an illegal alien from Honduras who was released into the U.S. by the Biden administration, according to reports.

Kurt Englehart, a senior advisor to Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), died in a two-vehicle wreck on April 6 in Reno.

“The occupants who fled the scene were later located by police, and the driver arrested,” authorities explained in news release hours later.

“Impairment does appear to be a factor in this crash.”

Elmer Rueda-Linares, 18, was arrested and initially charged with felony hit-and-run but that charge has been changed to failing to stop at the scene of an accident, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.

On Tuesday, the Gazette Journal reported that an immigration detainer was lodged against Rueda-Linares by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on April 8.

“Rueda entered the United States March 12, 2021, at or near the Rio Grande City, Texas, Port of Entry without inspection by an immigration official,” the Department of Homeland Security told the New York Post in a statement.

“United States Customs and Border Protection arrested him, and he was later released on his own recognizance June 22, 2021.”

Incredibly, just two days prior to the date Rueda entered the U.S., Sen. Masto emphatically declared there were “no open borders” during an interview on MSNBC, according to Nevada political activist Courtney Holland.

Englehart, a 38-year-old father of one, had worked for Masto for eight years at the time of his passing.

Rueda-Linares is currently being held in Washoe County Jail on $100,000 bail.

An investigation is ongoing.

Democrats must be puzzled.

In 1968, the Democratic Convention in Chicago was a bloodbath, with 600 arrests in one street battle that was broadcast all over the world. And the group that met here last Saturday, in the local headquarters of the Teamsters Union, wants to repeat history when Joe Biden is named the presidential nominee at the DNC this August. They oppose the president they call “Genocide Joe” for backing Israel in its war against Hamas.

Well, now the crazies are back, getting ready to wreck Chicago a second time this August 19. Odds are good they will succeed, too, given the fecklessness of the blue city government led by clueless leftist Brandon Johnson, which the Free Press article notes. Johnson won’t have any idea how to handle them, it won’t be with any resolution, so they will run circles around him and create a lot of problems, outright upstaging the convention if it gets bad enough.
