This attack is likely intended to disrupt both diplomatic and economic ties between Bahrain and Israel.

Previously we detailed the ongoing Saudi crackdown on the potential for an ‘Islamist uprising’ in response to Arab Gulf countries normalizing relations with Israel. So far, the UAE has normalized, and Bahrain too, and now Saudi Arabia is said to be on the cusp.

On Thursday there emerged reports of an unprecedented first: a group by the name of the “Islamic Resistance in Bahrain” has claimed its first ever attack on Israel in retaliation for Israeli military operations in Gaza.

The group identifying itself in Arabic as Saraya al-Ashtar or al-Ashtar Brigades launched drones against the southern Israeli port city of Eilat. It reportedly happened on Saturday, but has only late this week been announced by the relatively unknown group.

The group announced that it “targeted the headquarters of the company responsible for land transportation in the Zionist entity [Trucknet] in the city of Umm al-Rashrash [Eilat] in occupied Palestine” – as cited in Al Jazeera. Eilat has been a frequent target of Yemen’s Houthis amid the ongoing Red Sea crisis.

The Israeli land transport company ‘Trucknet” is very active in Arab Gulf countries and is seen as a vital element in restoring Israel-Gulf ties. It is as yet unclear from where the Bahraini group launched the attack. There’s a likelihood it was operating from Yemeni territory.

This attack is likely intended to disrupt both diplomatic and economic ties between Bahrain and Israel:

Trucknet, which is an Israeli transport company, signed an agreement in March to transfer oil between Israel and Arab countries. Saraya al-Ashtar is designated as a “terrorist” organisation by the US, which says it has ties with Iran.

In September Israel took the unprecedented step of opening an embassy in Bahrain based on Abraham Accords talks. However the Gaza war in the wake of Oct.7 disrupted things, and Bahrain recalled its ambassador from Israel. Yet later, by December, Bahrain signaled that it remains committed to normalized ties with Israel. 

The wealthy island-nation which sits just off the Saudi coast plays host to the US Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT), as well as the US 5th Fleet and others.

Bahrain’s Shia population and activist groups during the period of the so-called Arab Spring sought to lead large demonstrations toward toppling the Sunni monarchy, however, the Saudis sent tanks across the lengthy causeway to help quell the uprising. 

Bahrain was largely left out of Washington’s ‘freedom rhetoric’ during the Arab Spring while the media spotlight was focused on places like Egypt, Libya and Syria. This is because the US needs strong Sunni Gulf rulers willing to host the Pentagon and keep the oil and gas contracts, and to clamp down on the restive Shia population in the region.

Also on Thursday there have been reports that Iran-linked groups in Iraq launched fresh cruise missile attacks on Israel, but there’s been no confirmation that projectiles made it to Israeli airspace.

Every state needs sound money.

We have some great news to share with you out of Missouri where the state Senate just voted to pass Senate Bill 735, also known as the Constitutional Money Act, to establish a sound money system in the Show-Me State.

Described by Citizens for Sound Money (@4SoundMoney on X) as “the most comprehensive sound money bill in the country,” SB 735 lays new groundwork for the use of gold and silver as legal tender in the United States.

The bill’s summary states that its purpose is to modify and create new provisions relating to the sole purpose of regulating the use of gold and silver. Specifically, SB 735 exempts all bullion and investment coin purchases from income taxation.

“SB 735 additionally exempts from state income tax the portion of capital gain on the sale or exchange of gold and silver specie that are otherwise included in the taxpayer’s federal adjusted gross income,” explains Act for Missouri.

Every state needs sound money

The Constitutional Money Act is hardly perfect, nor is it complete in terms of establishing a much-needed sound money alternative to Federal Reserve Notes (FRN), which are lent by the private Federal Reserve banking cartel to the United States Treasury with interest.

The national debt is as high as it is, and now rising exponentially, precisely because the current fiat “money” system is the opposite of sound. It is a racket that enriches a select few at the top of the pyramid, all at the expense of everyone at the bottom of the pyramid.

“SB 735 creates the ‘Constitutional Money Act’ and declares that specie legal tender and electronic currency, as those terms are defined in the act, shall be accepted as payment for all public debts and may be received as payment for all private debts contracted for in the state of Missouri, in the discretion of the receiving entity,” reads Section 408.010 of the bill.

“The Director of the Department of Revenue is required to promulgate rules on the methods of acceptance of specie legal tender as payment for any debt, tax, fee, or obligation owed. Costs incurred in the course of verification of the weight and purity of any specie during any such transaction shall be borne by the receiving entity.”

Where the Constitutional Money Act is lacking is in its handling of FRNs, which are not explicitly prohibited for use as legal tender. Had the legislation prohibited the use of FRNs, Missouri would be well on its way to freeing itself entirely from the shackles of the private Federal Reserve.

“The bill still allows payment in Federal Reserve Notes which is illegal per Article 1 Section 10,” tweeted “mike x” (@ratsmachine) on X. “The state must move to end the illegal occupation by the Federal Reserve Bank.”

Citizens for Sound Money responded to this by stating that no individual state can ban federal legal tender, which at the current time is FRNs.

“The states however can execute their constitutional right to make gold and silver legal tender per Article I Section X Clause I of the Constitution.”

Banks in Missouri are unaffected by the bill’s passage, unless they choose to start accepting gold and silver in addition to FRNs.

“This is way more comprehensive than the Texas bill,” Citizens for Sound Money further noted about Missouri’s sound money legislation. “Texas only has a state depository; they don’t have anything else, unfortunately. But we are working with our partners at @economicwarroom (Economic War Room) to get it done in Texas.”

Republican presidential nominee takes of advantage of mandated court appearances by showing support for NYC first responders.

Former President Donald Trump personally delivered pizza to NYC firefighters Thursday following another appearance in court.

Footage shows the Republican presidential nominee arriving at the FDNY Engine 2, Battalion 8 firehouse within blocks of Trump Tower in Manhattan carrying boxes of pizza.

FDNY firefighters were excited to receive the pizza delivery from the former president.

“It was an honor to see the brave men and women of the FDNY this evening!” Trump posted to Truth Social.

The FDNY released a statement saying, “We appreciate whoever supports our members at the FDNY, no matter their political affiliation.”

The surprise campaign stop marks Trump’s latest successful effort to capitalize on his judge-mandated appearances at his sham hush money trial to connect with supporters in the Big Apple.
