Eric Schmidt’s AI Think Tank Urges NATO to Monitor ‘Disinformation’ in Real-Time, Coordinate Responses
You might still think about Eric Schmidt as a “(big) tech guy” and businessman, but his passion for (geo)politics was always evident, even while he served as Google’s CEO.
These days, Schmidt is the chair of the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP), a think tank that would like to position itself as a reference point to a military alliance, NATO, and get it to “monitor disinformation in real-time.”
SCSP’s ambition is no less than to help craft new national security strategies, always with an eye on the alleged attempts to increase disinformation (here AI is to blame) – but also ways to combat that, and here, SCSP says (the US) must strengthen its “AI competitiveness.”
The goal is to “win” what’s referred to as the techno-economic competition by 2030 – there’s that deadline, favored by many a controversial globalist initiative.
Here, the group would like NATO and its members to fight against what is described as AI disinformation, that new chapter in information warfare.
Schmidt’s think tank doesn’t like what’s seen as the current reactive approach and the tired old debunking. That means there must be an “active” one – and the replacement for debunking would logically be some form of the dystopian concept of “prebunking.”
(SCSP mentions both as desirable methods in a late 2022 report, but this time shies away from using the latter term.)
SCSP wants various actors to carry out real-time surveillance of “disinformation” by means of spending money on tools fed with publicly available online data (aka, the cynically named “open source” data).
In other words, real-time mass-scale internet data scraping. Such tools already exist and are used by law enforcement, causing various levels of controversy.
Next comes prebunking, even if the latest batch of SCSP recommendations stops short of calling it that.
But what would you call it?
“NATO should provide its own positive narrative to get out ahead of disinformation, and highlight failures of authoritarian regimes, especially on their own digital platforms.”
And to make this work, SCSP wants NATO to co-opt various governments and companies, as well as NGOs. Inside the alliance, a “disinformation unit” should be formed.
Last but not least, the think tank says – “Foster healthy skepticism.”
Perhaps starting with SCSP’s own roles, goals, and affiliations.
American Society of Plastic Surgeons Rejects Transgender Surgeries for Minors
(LifeSiteNews) — The American Society of Plastic Surgeons will not be endorsing the transgender surgical mutilation of minors, according to a new report.
The trade group told City Journal’s Leor Sapir it “has not endorsed any organization’s practice recommendations for the treatment of adolescents with gender dysphoria.”
“ASPS acknowledged that there is ‘considerable uncertainty as to the long-term efficacy for the use of chest and genital surgical interventions’ and that ‘the existing evidence base is viewed as low quality/low certainty,’” according to Sapir.
He said the society has “11,000 members and [represents] over 90 percent of the field in the U.S. and Canada.”
The announcement is the latest rejection of the transgender agenda, which has come under scrutiny for its false, ideological standards.
Additionally, it is a biological truth and a moral fact that no one can change his sex.
The so-called “World Professional Association for Transgender Health” (WPATH), often cited as an authority on surgical and chemical interventions despite being an LGBT pressure group, began claiming that “transitions” were “medically necessary” so insurance companies would pay for them. The Biden administration also lobbied the activist group to omit age minimums for the permanent surgeries.
The revelations came out in court documents concerning challenges to Alabama’s restrictions on the procedures, which can leave individuals permanently infertile while also creating numerous health problems, including weakened bone density, inability to breastfeed, and other severe reproductive damage.
The Supreme Court will hear challenges to Tennessee’s restrictions on the procedures this upcoming term.
A WPATH doctor acknowledged in 2022 that puberty blockers are not actually reversible. “There’s challenges with puberty suppression that we have to acknowledge and that’s why it’s ‘reversible asterisks,’” Dr. Scott Leibowitz said. “One cannot be on puberty suppression endlessly. You get to a place where physiologically we need hormones.”
The American Academy of Pediatrics also let a small group of activists write their transgender standards, according to reporting by the Washington Free Beacon.
“Though the organization’s guidelines are framed as the consensus position of the AAP’s members, only a handful of physicians had a role in shaping them,” Aaron Sibarium wrote in 2022. “Instead, insiders say, the AAP is deferring to small, like-minded teams of specialists ensconced in children’s hospitals, research centers, and public health bureaucracies, rather than seeking the insights of pediatricians who see a wide cross-section of America’s children.”
Furthermore, a review by the United Kingdom’s National Health Service concluded that claiming interventions help individuals with gender dysphoria is baseless. Many of them will grow out of their confusion with time.

Other facilitators of the permanently damaging procedures have been caught waving through questionable cases for money.
Plume Clinic took less than 22 minutes to approve Gregg Re for testicle removal.
Re works for Matt Walsh and The Daily Wire and faked his way through the brief interview with Plume, which writes endorsement letters to surgeons so they will commit transgender surgeries.
Meanwhile, European medical experts and individuals who used to present themselves as the opposite sex have voiced opposition to the rapid growth of gender ideology.
Some American medical experts have also spoken out, warning about the harms of transgender drugs and surgeries.
House Committee Slams EU for X Censorship Threats
The House Judiciary Committee has issued a stern critique of the European Union’s actions, which they perceive as an attempt to “silence great Americans like Elon Musk,” and is considering launching an investigation into what they deem an “infringement on free speech.”
Committee Chair Jim Jordan escalated tensions on Thursday by dispatching a strongly worded letter to EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, accusing him of employing legal measures to target Musk.
The contention arises shortly after Breton, in a public post, cautioned Musk against allowing “hateful content” to proliferate on X, especially in the lead-up to a scheduled discussion with former President Trump. This admonition was tied to EU regulations enacted in 2022, which hold social media platforms like X, Facebook, and TikTok accountable, with potential multibillion-dollar fines for spreading content that promotes hatred or violence in the EU.
In his correspondence, Jordan specifically criticized Breton for purportedly aiming these regulations at conservatives like Musk and Trump to dissuade them.
Jordan’s letter firmly requested that Breton cease any efforts to intimidate those participating in US political discourse: “In light of your recent threats of reprisal toward X Corp… for facilitating political discourse in the US, we write to demand that you stop any attempt to intimidate individuals or entities engaged in political speech in the United States,” he articulated.
He added a reminder that such coercive tactics against free speech are not permissible under US governance.
The European Commission’s response to Breton’s actions was swift, as it quickly clarified that it had not sanctioned his authoritarian letter.
The Trump campaign also voiced disapproval, accusing the EU of attempting to influence US political dynamics, with Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung stating, “The European Union should mind their own business instead of trying to meddle in the US Presidential election,” and emphasizing, “Let us be very clear — the European Union is an enemy of free speech and has no authority of any kind to dictate how we campaign.”
In a broader move, Jordan has also targeted US leadership, issuing subpoenas to the State Department to uncover any communications with the EU regarding this issue.
These actions by Jordan are part of a wider congressional push against censorship, underscored by investigations led by the Judiciary and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government into potential executive branch collusion with intermediaries to censor legal speech.
The Subcommittee has also been reviewing the efforts of other governments, including the EU, to censor online speech.
Shock! Pride Charity Founder Arrested on Child-Sex Charges
The founder of a British Pride charity has been arrested for multiple counts of child-sex abuse.
Stephen Ireland, who founded the LGBT charity Pride in Surrey, was arrested on 37 counts of child sex abuse, along with a volunteer for the charity, David Sutton.
The charges against the two men include conspiracy to sexually assault a child, conspiracy to kidnap a child, voyeurism and arranging the commission of a child sexual offence.
Ireland himself is charged with a further 22 charges, including the rape of a child under 13, the making of child pornography and the possession of child pornography.
Ireland is a vocal proponent of teaching LGBTQ ideology to children and worked as a patron of the charity Educate and Celebrate, which runs Pride workshops in schools. He was invited to speak to local law enforcement about LGBTQ history and also organised training sessions for police. Ireland was arrested by officers from the police force he had been training.
The arrest continues a long-running trend of LGBTQ activists being arrested for child-sex offences. Slade Sohmer, editor-in-chief of left-wing news site The Recount, was arrested last November for possessing and distributing child pornography. In another high-profile case, a former Maryland mayor known for his LGBTQ activism was sentenced to prison, again in November of last year, for nearly 150 child porn offences. Patrick Wojahn, a mentee of Pete Buttigieg, was given 30 years in prison.
