Rise in Stolen Singaporean ID Data Shows The Dangers of Digital ID

But Resecurity said that more than 2,377 of these accounts were compromised last month alone, with the firm saying the holders of those have been notified of this discovery.

A recent advisory published by the Resecurity cybersecurity vendor exposes a trend now developing on the dark web – more and more stolen biometrics-based data is ending up in this corner of the internet.

These revelations, describing the increase in activity of this type as “significant,” highlight the case of Singapore, including its SingPass scheme.

At the same time, they confirm that the fears of the digital ID and age verification push sooner or later turning into a privacy nightmare.

In Singapore, every citizen and resident has a SingPass (Singapore Personal Access) digital ID account, which is touted by the authorities in the city-state as their “trusted digital identity” – not to mention a “convenient” one.

Blackhat hackers, however, beg to disagree, and it’s hard to imagine that digital ID holders affected by identity theft think of the scheme as in any way “convenient.”

Security researchers say that overall, year-on-year, as many as 230 percent more “vendors” are now selling stolen personal information that often contains facial recognition data, fingerprints, and other biometrics belonging to Singaporeans.

A majority of this data has been up for sale on the XSS dark web forum, according to the same source.

In 2024 thus far, this type of activity peaked in April, following a rise in data breaches where cybercriminals targeted a number of online databases that store this information.

Stolen citizens’ identities are then used for a variety of criminal activities, including fraud, scams, and the creation of deepfakes. But once this kind of floodgate opens, exposing particularly sensitive data, spies and various governments are never far behind the common criminals in exploiting the breaches.

Other than supposedly being “easy and secure,” SingPass gives access to more than 1,700 government and private sector services in Singapore, both online, and in person.

But Resecurity said that more than 2,377 of these accounts were compromised last month alone, with the firm saying the holders of those have been notified of this discovery.

However, the firm’s advisory noted that in many cases online platforms that suffer data breaches do not disclose these incidents, which means that citizens and residents in Singapore whose identities have been stolen are not even aware of this.

Demented Octogenarian, or Liar? Biden Humiliates Himself Again & Again as Whole World Watches

adminJul 8, 20245 min read
‘If the Lord Almighty’ asked Biden to ‘get outta the race,’ he would, said the president, who clearly hasn’t listened to what God has undoubtedly attempted to explain about abortion and a host of other topics about which He has been unmistakably clear.

(LifeSiteNews) — President Joe Biden sat for a video interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an attempt to salvage his campaign following his disastrous performance in last week’s debate with former President Donald Trump, but failed to achieve his goal as he doubled down on an array of self-delusions and outright lies.

The ABC interview was broadcast one day after Biden had inexplicably declared in an interview with Philadelphia radio station WURD: “I’m proud to be… the first vice president, first black woman… to serve with a black president.”

Commenting after the ABC interview, in-house political journalist Jonathan Karl told Stephanopoulos, “There is nothing in this interview that is calming [the] nerves of jittery Democrats who fear that Joe Biden is on a trajectory to lose this race to Donald Trump.”

“For some, the interview is raising new concerns,” said Karl, “particularly the fact that he’s unwilling or unaware of the fact that he is in a dire situation regarding the campaign.”

Biden’s apparent unsubstantiated optimism and willingness to overlook – if not outright dismiss – polls is due to his keeping counsel with only a very tight White House inner circle, explained ABC’s Martha Raddatz, who noted that Jill Biden is “lashing out at those who want him to get out of the race.”

In perhaps his most jaw-dropping, easily disputable comment, Biden compared the size and the energy of the crowds attending his campaign stops to those of Trump.

“How many people draw crowds like I did today?” Biden asked. “Find me more enthusiastic than today? Huh?”

Photos and videos tell a completely different story.

Stephanopoulos, attempting to steer Biden away from a head-on collision with truth, cautioned him, “I don’t think you wanna play the crowd game. Donald Trump can draw big crowds.”

During the interview, Biden repeatedly called Trump a “pathological liar” while succumbing to his own pathological compulsion to lie.

CNN felt obligated to fact-check some of Biden’s more egregious oft-repeated falsities.

Biden had told Stephanopoulos that Trump “is a guy who told us to put bleach in our arms to deal with COVID.” CNN admitted that “Biden’s claim is misleading,” and that Trump had never said that.

CNN also zeroed in on Biden’s claim that Trump was the only president other than Herbert Hoover “who lost more jobs than he created,” pointing out that Biden left out some important context.

“There was a gain of about 6.7 million jobs until the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country about three years into that term,” wrote CNN, however, “Nearly 22 million jobs were lost under Trump in March 2020 and April 2020 when the global economy cratered on account of the pandemic.”

“The U.S. then started regaining jobs immediately, adding more than 12 million from May 2020 through December 2020, but not enough to make up the massive early-pandemic losses.”

Biden’s endless assertions that the Trump presidency was a disaster for the U.S. economy has always been a lie.

Twice during the interview, Biden said “if the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get outta the race,’ I’d get outta the race.”

Biden’s claim is highly suspect since he clearly hasn’t listened to what “the Lord Almighty” has undoubtedly attempted to explain to him about sanctioning and promoting abortion, mutilating the genitals of minors in the name transgenderism, same-sex marriage, and a host of other topics about which God is unmistakably clear.

The voice of his wife, Jill, is likely the oracle through which Joe Biden believes he hears God speak to him.

“From the crisis he created at the U.S.-Mexico border to manufactured hoaxes about his opponent, there was almost no subject Biden didn’t lie about,” wrote The Federalist’s Shawn Fleetwood the following day.

Fleetwood then listed the “20 biggest whoppers” Biden told during his debate with Trump. Among them:

  1. Illegal Border Crossings: Biden claimed “there [are] 40 percent fewer people coming across the border illegally” under his presidency than Trump’s. That isn’t true, as illegal border crossings have skyrocketed to record highs under Biden’s presidency.
  2. Military Deaths: Biden claimed he’s the “only president this… decade” who “doesn’t have any troops dying anywhere in the world” under his presidency. That is false. Thirteen service members were killed during Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
  3. Late Term Abortion: Biden claimed that Democrats “are not for late-term abortion.” As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd noted, Biden “has repeatedly promised to legalize unlimited, on-demand abortion through all nine months of pregnancy via a sweeping bill and routinely promotedtaxpayer-funded abortion policies.”
  4. Roe v. Wade: Biden claimed the “vast majority of constitutional scholars supported [Roe v. Wade] when it was decided” by the Supreme Court in 1973. There is no evidence that’s true.
  5. The ‘Very Fine People’ lie: Biden repeated the lie that Trump called white supremacists who participated in a 2017 Charlottesville march “very fine people.” Even left-wing “fact-checker” Snopes recently admitted that claim is untrue.

Biden Campaign Urged to Use AI to Make Senile President Appear More Competent – While Labeling Real Videos Showing His Cognitive Decline ‘Deepfakes’

Tricking Americans is perfectly ethical if it keeps the “right” candidate in office, advisor claims.

We seem to be living in an upside-down world, where artifice is presented as reality and truths are dismissed as frauds. Nowhere is that more evident right now than in the way that Biden supporters are trying to trick Americans into thinking that the geriatric president actually belongs in the White House rather than a memory care facility.

It wasn’t long ago that the Biden campaign started pushing social media platforms to suppress videos showcasing his very real cognitive decline. They were apparently hoping they could keep these videos from surfacing in people’s feeds the same way they silenced those who dared to speak out about vaccine dangers during the pandemic. And if that didn’t work, they had another trick up their sleeves: labeling videos of some of his more glaring gaffes as “deepfakes” despite being legitimate news footage. This was on full display when they tried to dismiss actual footage of him acting confused at the G7 summit in Italy, a D-Day commemoration in France and many of the other occasions when he just couldn’t keep his act together as being digitally altered.

Now, as the pressure piles on in the wake of his deeply unsettling debate performance, Biden’s supporters now appear to be shifting from calling real videos fake ones to creating fake videos out of real coverage that make him seem a lot sharper than he is.

On Wednesday, the pro-Biden Huffington Post published an article calling on Biden’s camp to take advantage of artificial intelligence technology to create fake videos in which he looks and sounds like a healthy human being whose brain in functioning in a perfectly normal way.

Quoting Biden’s admission following the debate that he “might not walk as easily or talk as smoothly I used to,” they suggested that he get help from AI with this problem. The author of the piece, Democratic commentator and nonprofit advisor Kaivan Shroff, warned ominously that “the consequences of not taking this approach could be dire.”

Since Biden often struggles to put words together in a way that makes sense, he pointed out that “AI augmentations and video renderings could serve to smooth out these bumps while allowing the Biden campaign to effectively disseminate true information.”

Tricking Americans is perfectly ethical if it keeps the “right” candidate in office, advisor claims

The irony of his own words appears to be completely lost on him when he goes on to say that these fake videos could actually help stem misinformation.

“In a world where misinformation and disinformation spreads virally, often through short-form video content, having the capability to produce polished, articulate responses in real-time could be a game-changer,” he wrote, somehow deciding that a perfectly reasonable way to convince Americans that footage of Biden being confused is fake is by generating an AI version of the president telling them so.

He goes on to say that although there are ethical concerns about AI renderings of the president, the possibility of Trump winning the election is so dire that deceiving people is somehow acceptable if it will get the “right” candidate in office.

“It is incumbent upon the Biden campaign to use every tool available to make sure the president’s reelection bid is successful,” he stated, and it wouldn’t be surprising if his definition of “every tool” (and that of many liberals) extends beyond AI to include ballot stuffing, absentee ballot fraud and social media censorship. In their minds, it’s perfectly okay – and perhaps even noble – to bend the law, put ethics aside and deceive the public to ensure Biden retains power.

Australia’s Chief Censor to Force Online Digital ID Within Six Months

Australia’s Chief Censor to Force Online Digital ID Within Six Months

The rules in question are related to access to pornography but also “other inappropriate” content; “suicide,” and “eating disorders” are lumped into this, and, it’s unclear if “eating disorders” as defined by Grant, include only undereating, or overeating as well.

It’s really a no-brainer both for politicians and those crafting the wording and perception of their policies.

Namely – if you want genuinely complex and controversial initiatives (such as those related to mass surveillance and privacy infringements) fast-tracked both in legislatures and the media/public, just frame them as geared toward “child safety.”

Job done. Not many will even attempt to stand up to this, even if arguments in favor are patently disingenuous.

One gets the sense this is what Australia’s “chief censor” – eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant – is there to do – and she seems to understand her assignment well. Whether she succeeds, though, is a whole different question.

For right now, Grant is not letting up on trying to attack online security and privacy via demands for swift implementation of age verification schemes by online platforms.

Grant is now setting a six-month deadline and threatening mandatory codes unless these platforms play along.

It might bear repeating, and louder, “for the people in the back”: The only way to truly verify anyone’s age online is for adults with a government-issued ID to present a copy of it to the platforms ruling the internet – ruled by governments.

This effectively destroys online anonymity, and in many countries and under many regimes, people’s (physical) safety.

To her “credit” – Grant does seem to always be more concerned about how her initiatives are perceived, rather than what they actually realistically can achieve.

And so reports say her latest push is to have online platforms implement age verification over the next six months or be forced to do so by a “mandatory code.”

The alternative to the country enforcing “child safety rules” is that these rules will eventually be imposed.

(The rules in question are related to access to pornography but also “other inappropriate” content; “suicide,” and “eating disorders” are lumped into this, and, it’s unclear if “eating disorders” as defined by Grant, include only undereating, or overeating as well.)

Effectively, Grant has set October 3 of this year as the deadline for tech companies to tell the Australian government how they plan to implement their own “codes” – before the government does it for them. As any good democratic government does /s.

The scope of the envisaged standards is quite wide: standards for “app stores, websites including pornography and dating websites, search engines, social media platforms, chat services, and even multi-player gaming platforms check(ing) that content is suitable for users,” Grant is quoted.

Actress Lea DeLaria Calls on Biden to Assassinate Trump: ‘This is a War’

Actress Lea DeLaria Calls on Biden to Assassinate Trump: ‘This is a War’

DeLaria had a meltdown in 2016, too.

Another Hollywood windbag suffered a social media meltdown this week following the Supreme Court’s executive immunity ruling.

Actress and “professional lesbian” Lea DeLaria, 66, uploaded a hate-filled video speech to Instagram calling on Joe Biden to take advantage of the ruling by assassinating Donald Trump, whom she described as a genocidal dictator.

“Trump is Hitler, and this is 1940,” DeLaria wrote, apparently confused about identities and dates. “Take him the **** out.”

Many Trump haters are under the impression that the Supreme Court’s ruling allows Biden, in theory, to assassinate Trump as an “official act” of office, that way Biden is immune from prosecution for murdering the former president.

“Joe, you’re a reasonable man,” DeLaria added in a post that as of this writing has about 9,000 likes. “You don’t want to do this. But here’s the reality: This is a *******war. This is a war now, and we are fighting for our ******* country. And these ******** are going to take it away. They’re going to take it away.”

DeLaria proceeded to mock the conservative justices on the court who voted in favor of the immunity provision, including Supreme Court Justice Clarence “Uncle” Thomas, as she denigratingly called him using racist language.

“Joe, you now have the right to take that ***** Trump out. Take him out, Joe. If he was Hitler, and this was 1940, would you take him out? Well, he is Hitler … Take him the **** out! Blow him up, or they’ll blow us up. Facts.”

(Related: Immediately following Biden’s embarrassing debate performance, the DNC announced plans to fast-track an early nomination for Biden to ensure he doesn’t get replaced.)

DeLaria had a meltdown in 2016, too

DeLaria continued her hateful rant in the comments on her post, warning again that this is a “war” and that “they will destroy us,” referring to Trump and his supporters.

“They only want power … like all tyrants,” she said. “****THEM!!! And if any of you ******** wanna death threat me like you have been doing for my entire life, bring it on *****. I’m Sicilian, I know how to play that game.”

DeLaria’s video did not go over so well with social media users, most of whom called her out for her hatred.

“Did you just publicly call for the president of the United States to murder his political opponent?” one asked. “If you want 3rd world stuff to happen, move to a third world country.”

This is hardly the first time that DeLaria has made her hatred from Trump and his supporters known on social media. Back in 2016 after Trump won the election, DeLaria posted that she wanted to “pick up a baseball bat and take out every ******* Republican and Independent I see.”

Others wrote that DeLaria is guilty of “domestic terrorism” for her post, which has not yet been flagged or removed as hateful content that violates Instagram’s community guidelines.

“You’re kidding me right????” asked another. “This country is in shambles and the normal working Americans are struggling, but of course those of you in hollyweird don’t live in reality.”

Another tagged the FBI and asked if anything is being done to investigate DeLari for “inciting violent acts on a former sitting president.”

“Shouldn’t content like this be taken down and this person banned?” someone else asked of Instagram.

“Secret Service should pay her a big, beautiful visit for making threats against President Trump,” said another, noting that DeLaria is one of those people who “preach peace, love, equality, etc. – but only if you agree with them since they are unhinged weirdos.”
