Japan’s Supreme Court Orders Compensation to Victims of Now-Defunct Eugenics Law

The Eugenic Protection Law, in place from 1948 to 1996, empowered Japanese authorities to force sterilization and even abortion onto those with disabilities.

(LifeSiteNews) — On July 3, Japan’s Supreme Court ruled that the government must compensate several individuals who were forcibly sterilized under the nation’s now-defunct Eugenics Protection Law, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

The Eugenic Protection Law, in place from 1948 to 1996, empowered Japanese authorities to forcibly sterilize people with disabilities, including those suffering from mental disorders, hereditary diseases or physical deformities, and leprosy. The law also permitted forced abortions if either parent suffered from a disability.

Last Wednesday, the nation’s highest court ruled that the 1948 law was unconstitutional and dismissed the government’s allegation that it should not pay compensation to victims due to the 20-year statute of limitations. It also ordered that the government pay 16.5 million yen (about $102,000) to the plaintiffs and 2.2 million yen ($13,000) to their spouses, the AP reported.

“The legislative intent of the former Eugenic Protection Law cannot be justified in light of the social conditions of the time,” said Judge Saburo Tokura when passing the judgment, as cited by public broadcaster NHK.

“The law imposes a grave sacrifice in the form of the loss of reproductive capacity, which is extremely contrary to the spirit of respect for individual dignity and personality, and violates Article 13 of the Constitution,” Tokura continued.

The court’s decree regarded 11 of the 39 plaintiffs who submitted their cases to five lower courts across the country before getting their case heard by the Supreme Court. The court has yet to rule on the cases of the remaining litigants.

According to the text of the now-scrapped law, it was implemented to “prevent the increase of the inferior descendants from the eugenic point of view.”

Consequently, around 25,000 people were sterilized without consent when the law was in effect, according to the court ruling which cited ministry data. While authorities allege that 8,500 people agreed to the procedures, lawyers retorted that these people were “de facto forced” into surgery due to the pressure they faced. Moreover, tactics such as physical restraint, anesthesia and even “deception” were permitted for sterilization procedures, as per a 1953 government notice.

Shockingly, a parliamentary report released in June 2023 found that some of the victims of the anti-life law were as young as nine years of age.

Eventually, the law was replaced by a 1996 amendment.

After the top court ruling, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said he would meet the victims in person to apologize, reports said.

The plaintiffs, some of them in wheelchairs, held up banners saying “thank you” and “victory” outside the court after the decree. “I couldn’t be happier and I could have never done this alone,” said an 81-year-old plaintiff in Tokyo who chose to utilize the pseudonym Saburo Kita, in remarks cited by NBC News.

Kita testified that he was sterilized in 1957 when he lived in an orphanage. He added that he revealed his secret to his wife before her death, elaborating that he regretted their inability to have children due to his sterilization.

Likewise, Yumi Suzuki, who was born with cerebral palsy and forcibly sterilized when she was just 12, declared to the BBC in a 2021 interview:

When I found out I realized I could never be a mother… It broke my heart.

In 2023, Japan’s Kumamoto District Court ordered the government to pay damages totalling 22 million yen ($170,000) in compensation to two victims over their forced sterilization, Kyodo News reported.

Under a law passed in 2019 after one of the sterilization-linked lawsuits, surviving victims can each obtain 3.2 million yen ($19,800) in damages. Of the 1,300 applicants for this compensation scheme, reports say 1,100 have been successful in obtaining compensation.

EU Reportedly to Issue ‘Final’ Warning to X Under Censorship Law; Risks 6% Revenue Fine

What the EU believes (or says it does) will result in improved “content moderation” – what free speech advocates see as yet another tool to ramp up censorship and pressure tech companies.

According to anonymous sources cited in the press, the European Union (EU) is continuing with enforcement of its Digital Services Act (DSA) (known among opponents as the censorship law) – and the target this time is X.

Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton is expected to issue “a final warning” to X before EU bureaucrats go on their summer vacations. Failure to comply with the warning, according to the sources, could result in the social media company having to pay fines amounting to 6 percent of its global revenue.

The issue that the EU has with X in this particular case is the platform’s alleged failure to combat what the DSA designates to be “dangerous” content. If the formal warning is given, the EU will move to make a decision on whether to punish X at some point later in the year.

The accusations are contained in the European Commission’s preliminary findings concerning major social platforms’ compliance with the law. The probe into X was announced in December and has to do with the way content related to the October 7 Hamas attacks was “handled” on the social site.

X has chosen not to comment on these reports, while the Commission is quoted as stating that there are “no time limits on the next step” in its probe into the platform’s conduct.

Although DSA came into force last August, the EU seems to have chosen 2024 to launch its efforts to crack down on various platforms, with others under investigation now being another US giant, Meta, but also China’s TikTok and AliExpress.

According to the EU, the law is designed to force major tech companies to deal with content that is considered to be misinformation, hate speech, cyberbullying, terrorist propaganda, etc.

What the EU believes (or says it does) will result in improved “content moderation” – what free speech advocates see as yet another tool to ramp up censorship and pressure tech companies.

These firms themselves have in the past criticized DSA for lacking clarity (now they know how their users feel when they are censored based on broad and vague platform rules) and also as a threat to innovation – and to freedom of speech.

Green Terrorists Are Stealing Property in America’s Heartland to Build Massive Co2 Pipeline Terraforming Machines for Destruction of Photosynthesis on Earth

CO2 pipelines are money-grubbing scams – and they’re probably unconstitutional.

Summit Carbon Solutions is back at it in Iowa trying to steal private farmland for use in its massive “carbon capture” scam.

The Iowa Utility Board (IUB) reportedly approved a proposal by Summit to build a carbon dioxide (CO2) pipeline that stretches across five Midwestern states: Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The pipeline is slated to cover 2,500 miles – the portion in Iowa is supposed to be 680 miles long – and connect with 57 ethanol plants, a spokeswoman from the company revealed.

The IUB decision will allow Summit to use eminent domain to steal 859 land parcels from private landowners, the vast majority of whom are opposed to the “green” project, which aims to bury CO2 underground so it cannot “pollute” the environment.

“After weighing numerous factors for and against Summit Carbon’s petition, the Board found that the service to be provided by Summit Carbon will promote the public convenience and necessity,” UIB said in its decision.

(Related: Don’t be fooled, conservatives – many Republican politicians are selling out farmers to these “green” energy scams.)

CO2 pipelines are money-grubbing scams – and they’re probably unconstitutional

There are conditions attached to the approval that include forcing Summit to submit revised exhibits for IUB review. Summit will also have to:

1) Obtain and maintain at least a $100 million insurance policy

2) Adhere to specific construction methods

3) Ensure compensation for landowners and tenants for any construction-related damages

4) Receive approval from the other four states involved in the project

“The momentum will continue as we prepare to file our South Dakota permit application in early July,” said Summit CEO Lee Blank. “We look forward to engaging with the state throughout this process and are confident in a successful outcome.”

Those opposed to the project, including hordes of private landowners, say Summit’s CO2 pipeline will only benefit the company while providing no benefits to the public.

“There is a deep-rooted passion for our farm ground in many farmers, and to have something like this rip it apart for something so unnecessary is unimaginable,” said Austin Hayek, a farmer from Fort Dodge, Iowa, who like many of his neighbors fears the pipeline will disrupt his ability to maintain and pass down his farming legacy to the next generation.

Like with all other green scams, carbon pipelines would not even be possible were it not for federal tax credits paid for by U.S. taxpayers. Electric vehicles (EVs), solar panels, carbon pipelines and all the rest exist because of taxpayer-funded subsidies and other benefits not afforded to other industries.

“This is far from over,” commented Jess Mazour, chapter conservation coordinator of the Sierra Club of Iowa, about the UIB approval. “We will appeal this decision and make our arguments in front of a fair decision maker.”

In May 2023, a South Dakota farmer named Jared Bossly won his case against Summit, this being a little silver lining to the whole fiasco. On X, someone wrote that threatened farmers in all of the affected states need to file their own lawsuits against Summit.

“Every farmer needs to post signs with this exact verbiage on their property,” she wrote about the following statement to be posted on farms:

“NO TRESPASSING: Trespassers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law – No immunity for criminal trespass by government parties.”

Another pointed out just how far America is falling from grace when private companies can successfully declare eminent domain on other people’s private property.

Unless Americans take a stand against these kinds of projects, our entire country will eventually be taken over by green tyrants. Learn more at GreenTyranny.news.

More Disabled Canadians are Speaking Out Against Pressure to Choose Assisted Suicide

Tracy Polewczuk, a Canadian woman who suffers from spina bifida, told CTV that she doesn’t want to die but that it ‘feels like we are being pushed towards the MAiD [assisted suicide] program instead of being given the help to live.’

(LifeSiteNews) — On June 19, I interviewed Roger Foley – a Canadian with disabilities – on my LifeSiteNews podcast on his ugly experience with Canada’s euthanasia regime. Time and again, he told me, he has been proactively offered euthanasia, even after he confessed to feeling suicidal ideation. At his most vulnerable, he was not offered the help he has been asking for – and is fighting for in court – but rather, a lethal injection.

He is not the only one.

On July 4, Montreal CTV reported that Tracy Polewczuk, a woman who suffers from spina bifida, was also offered “MAiD,” or “medical aid in dying,” twice. Her story is nearly identical to Foley’s in all of the details. In 2022, Polewczuk broke her leg in an accident. Spina bifida is a birth defect that causes weak bones, and her broken leg never fully healed, leading to constant pain and daily home care visits from the Pointe-Claire CLSC. Like Foley, she says the care she receives is often perfunctory and her clearly-articulated needs are frequently not addressed.

“They don’t bother asking, like, they know your name, but they don’t address you,” she told CTV. “It’s just so impersonal, and they don’t care. You get up when they tell you to. You go to bed when they tell you. You do what they tell you to. That’s it. You have zero control over your life. And I’ve gotten hurt several times because people won’t listen. Pain sucks. We all agree. It’s terrible. I’m in pain 24/7. It never stops. I can survive that. I cannot survive being treated like a sack of meat.”

Her husband James told CTV that he has frequently been afraid that her circumstances could lead to suicidal ideation. “I had to hide a certain medication that we have enough of that, if she took them, it would end her life. And I hid them,” he said. It was then – when Polewczuk was most vulnerable – that medical professionals informed her that she was “eligible for medical assistance in dying.” CTV reports that it was brought up once by a nurse at the rehabilitation centre at Ste-Anne’s Hospital and a second time by a social worker at the Verdun Hospital.

“It feels like we are being pushed towards the MAiD program instead of being given the help to live,” Polewczuk said. “I want to survive. I want to thrive. I want my life back. I want the opposite of what they’re trying to have us do.” That is, almost word for word, what Roger Foley told me. He doesn’t want to die, but he feels as if those around him see his life as not worth living and are nudging him, gently but firmly, toward that final “choice” that does not feel like a choice to those who are vulnerable, suffering, and utterly reliant on those around them.

Predictably, the West Island Regional Health Authority declined comment on Polewczuk’s case when asked, stating simply that: “The rules surrounding medical aid in dying are very strict, and we respect them to the letter. The initiative must always come from the patient, not the nursing staff.” But as Dr. Paul Saba, a family doctor, told CTV, suggestions from medical staff are often perceived as recommendations:

What are the circumstances in which those persons have asked it? Are these people at home not being served adequately, not getting a sufficient, not having anyone to help health her or him? My theory is that a lot of those people who have asked and gotten medical help to die, that they might have been in circumstances where they had no other choice.

Stories like these shed a chilling light on the skyrocketing numbers of Canadians who die by euthanasia each year. The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition reported this week that there were approximately 15,280 reported euthanasia deaths in 2023– up more than 15 percent from 2022.

The British Columbia Medical Assistance in Dying 2023 report indicates that there were 2,767 euthanasia deaths, up 10 percent. Among those reported, 2.4 percent were for autoimmune conditions, 24.8 percent were from chronic pain, 9.8 percent were for diabetes, and 60.5 percent were for “frailty.”

Pfizer is Acquiring Drug Companies to Profit From Chronic Diseases Caused by Their Own Covid ‘Vaccines’

Pfizer acquired drug companies that treat immune-inflammatory diseases, including myocarditis, various cancers, capitalizing on the turbo cancer epidemic and blood flow blockages.

If you want to know the long-term side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines, pay close attention to Pfizer’s latest acquisitions. Since the rollout of their COVID-19 vaccine, Pfizer has acquired specific pharmaceutical companies that treat immune-inflammatory diseases, heart inflammation and various cancers. As their experimental use vaccine was being mandated on the population (including on the military) Pfizer was investing in drugs that target health conditions that were created and/or exacerbated by their experimental vaccines.

Pfizer acquired a drug company that treats immune-inflammatory diseases, including myocarditis

For instance, in 2021, Pfizer acquired Arena Pharmaceuticals. The price tag of the acquisition was disproportionate to the market size of the drug they acquired, but the shrewd Pfizer executive team knew the acquisition would be worth it in the end. By acquiring Arena Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer was able to control the future of therapeutics for various immune-inflammatory diseases, including drugs that address heart inflammation (myocarditis and pericarditis). These health problems skyrocketed after 2021, when Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccines were unlawfully mandated on populations and haphazardly placed on the CDC’s childhood vaccine schedule. Today, Pfizer is profiting from health issues that they caused, keeping people in a state of illness and pharmaceutical dependence.

Pfizer acquires drug company that treats various cancers, capitalizing on the turbo cancer epidemic

By 2023, Pfizer spent $43 billion of their vaccine profits to acquire Seagen Pharmaceuticals, a little-known drug company that specializes in cancer treatments. Now, Pfizer is profiting from the surge in turbo cancers that are affecting vaccinated people of all age groups. Turbo cancer is a new phenomenon where oncologists describe a new wave of aggressive cancers that that kill people in weeks or days, as opposed to months or years. There’s no doubt that something is causing immunodeficiency. The very thing that populations were told to take to protect those with immunodeficiency has created an entire new class of people with immunodeficiency and turbo cancers. Meanwhile, their destructive biological weapons remain on the market, ensuring that these health issues continue to be profitable ventures for years to come.

Pfizer acquires drug company that treats blood flow blockages

In 2022, Pfizer acquired global Blood Therapeutics, which has market exclusivity on a drug that treats sickle cell disease. Pfizer spent a disproportionate amount to acquire the company, based on projections that more people will present with this blood disease in the future. Sickle cell disease is described as a genetic disorder, so why would Pfizer invest in the drug? In sickle cell disease, red blood cells become crescent shaped due to a genetic mutation. These sickled red blood cells do not move easily, resulting in blood flow blockages. Could it possibly be that the drug is repurposed to treat other blood diseases that are characterized by blocked blood flow? COVID-19 vaccines are notorious for causing blood clots, so there’s potentially more use for this class of drug.

Pfizer’s exploitation of the population appears to be premeditated

Most shocking of all, this COVID-19 vaccine malfeasance appears to be premeditated. Before their vaccine was released to the public, Pfizer possessed evidence that their vaccine was already causing serious health issues in people who volunteered for the rushed clinical trials. In fact, the evidence showed that the vaccine caused inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, along with heart inflammation and antibody dependent enhancement that caused immune system failure. These Pfizer documents were concealed until a lawsuit forced Pfizer to produce the damning evidence of the vaccine’s harms.

But by then it was too late. A large portion of the population had already been lied to and coerced to take the injections, and the damage was widespread. Today, Pfizer is busying acquiring drug companies that treat the chronic conditions they helped cause, while they continue to exploit people with more booster shots and further blood damage.

NATO Makes ‘Historic’ Ukraine Air Defense Pledge

The US-led alliance will provide four new Patriot systems and “dozens” of other interceptors NATO makes ‘historic’ Ukraine air defense pledge.

NATO countries said they will provide five additional strategic air defense systems to Ukraine in response to Kiev’s pleas to help fend off persistent Russian airstrikes. US President Joe Biden announced the “historic donation” during the summit in Washington, DC, where NATO leaders gathered on Tuesday to mark the 75th anniversary of the Western alliance.

According to the statement signed by several NATO members and Ukraine, the US, Germany and Romania will donate a new Patriot battery each, while the Netherlands “and other partners” will supply components to “enable the operation of an additional Patriot battery.” Italy has pledged to deliver a new SAMP-T system.

“In addition, in the coming months, the United States and partners intend to provide Ukraine with dozens of tactical air defense systems, including NASAMS, HAWKs, IRIS T-SLM, IRIS T-SLS, and Gepard systems,” the statement read.

Overall, Washington promised to provide Ukraine with “hundreds of additional air defense interceptors over the next year.”

Addressing the attendees of the summit in Washington, Biden said that the US will prioritize Ukraine in terms of weapons deliveries. “The United States will make sure that when we export critical defense interceptors, Ukraine goes to the front of the line. They will get this assistance before anyone else gets it,” the president said.

Biden reaffirmed the commitment to back Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. “Today NATO is stronger than it’s ever been in its history,” he added.

Kiev has been warning for many months that the number of anti-air systems provided so far is not nearly enough to effectively deter Russian airstrikes, with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky telling NATO in April that Ukraine needs at least seven additional Patriot batteries or similar weapons. Moscow has reported destroying several Patriot launchers since 2023.

Russia has maintained that the deliveries of Western weapons will lead to more escalation but will ultimately fail to stop the Russian army in Ukraine.
