First US F-16s Arrive in Ukraine
The first batch of US-made F-16 fighter jets has arrived in Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday. The number of warplanes is “small,” sources told the outlet on condition of anonymity. Kiev has yet to comment on the reported delivery.
The origin of the aircraft is not yet clear. Last year, a group of NATO states, including Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Sweden, formed the so-called ‘F-16 coalition’. Greece, the US, Bulgaria, and France later joined.
While some countries, including the Netherlands and Denmark, pledged to provide Kiev with 24 and 19 aircraft respectively from their own stocks, others committed to training Ukrainian pilots.
Norway has also recently stated that it would donate six fighter jets to Kiev.

According to the sources cited by Bloomberg, a delivery deadline set for the end of this month has been “respected.” Earlier in July, the outgoing Dutch government said all preparations for the delivery of F-16s had been finished and the transfer would take place “soon.”
It is unclear whether the Ukrainian pilots trained to operate the aircraft by Kiev’s Western backers can immediately make use of the warplanes, Bloomberg noted.
A spokeswoman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Diana Davityan, declined to comment on the issue when contacted by the news outlet.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that F-16s, just like the other Western weapons provided to Kiev, will not change the outcome of the conflict. The Russian military will destroy the planes as it has done with other Ukrainian hardware, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier this year.
Last week, Kiev’s top military commander, Colonel General Aleksandr Syrsky, admitted to The Guardian that the Ukrainian military would have to limit the use of F-16s to avoid them being shot down by Russian forces. Moscow has “superior aviation” and “very strong” air defenses, the general said at that time, adding that the US-made aircraft would have to stay dozens of kilometers away from the front lines to avoid serious risk.

A private Russian company earlier offered a bounty of 15 million rubles ($170,000) for the destruction of the first F-16 in the conflict.
Russia has on multiple occasions warned that the ever-increasing level of support that Western states are providing to Kiev will only prolong the conflict and human suffering. Continued deliveries of ever-heavier weapons to Ukraine also make Kiev’s Western backers de facto participants of the conflict, it said. Top officials in Moscow, including President Vladimir Putin, have referred to the Ukraine crisis as a proxy war waged by Washington and its NATO allies against Russia.

Senate Passes Kids’ ‘Safety’ Bills Despite Privacy, Digital ID, and Censorship Concerns
Two bills combined – the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) and the Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0) – have passed in the US Senate in a 91-3 vote, and will now be considered by the House.
Criticism of the bills focuses mainly on the likelihood that, if and when they become law, they will help expand online digital ID verification, as well as around issues like censorship (removal and blocking of content).
Related: The 2024 Digital ID and Online Age Verification Agenda
The effort to make KOSA and COPA 2.0 happen was spearheaded by a parent group that was pushing lawmakers and tech companies’ executives to move in this direction, and their main demand was to enact new rules that would prevent cyberbullying and other harms.
And now the main sponsors, senators Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, and Republican Marsha Blackburn are trying to dispel these concerns, suggesting these are not “speech bills” and do not (directly) impose age verification.
Further defending the bills, they say that the legislation does not mandate that internet platforms start collecting even more user data, and reject the notion it is invasive of people’s privacy.
But the problem is that although technically true, this interpretation of the bills’ impact is ultimately incorrect, as some of their provisions do encourage censorship, facilitate the introduction of digital ID for age verification, and leave the door open for mass collection of online users’ data – under specific circumstances – and end ending anonymity online.
The bills are hailed by supporters as “landmark” legislation that is the first to focus on protecting children on the internet in the last 20 years, with some lawmakers in the Senate, like majority leader, Democrat Chuck Schumer, describing the result of the vote as “a momentous day.”
But digital rights group Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) is describing KOSA in particular as “a terrible idea” and is, instead of positive sloganeering about protecting the children, delving deeper into what the bills in fact seek to mandate or pave the way for.
The EFF is convinced that they should never become law and is urging citizens to take action to stop Congress from adopting KOSA. The overall criticism is that long-existing problems plaguing youths – such as mental disorders, drug, alcohol, and tobacco abuse, etc., should not be linked to the internet as if these issues weren’t present before.
EFF believes that the bill is in fact designed to “punish bad internet speech,” and makes a point prior to the House vote – appearing to warn about possible politicization – that once it becomes law, it will be out of the hands of the members of Congress to implement it.
Instead, the task would be entrusted to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which EFF makes sure to note is “majority-controlled by the president’s party.”
The group said that lawmakers supporting KOSA have chosen to ignore that “the vast majority of speech that KOSA affects is constitutionally protected in the US, which is why there is a long list of reasons that KOSA is unconstitutional.”
KOSA – although stating that platforms are not required to implement age verification – is seen by opponents as paving the way for expansion of this controversial policy, as it wants FTC, FCC, and the Secretary of Commerce to study “options for developing systems to verify age at the device or operating system level.”
Censorship-wise, it allows the FTC to investigate and sue sites that are branded as serving content “harmful” to children. And unlike the previous versions which covered only certain platforms, guided by the number of users, revenue, etc., the bill now appears to cover all platforms, which, unless the wording is changed, would be a fairly drastic provision.
When it comes to privacy and data collection, despite claims to the contrary, platforms will be able to collect or buy data on people with the goal of estimating a user’s age.
According to Senator Blumenthal, this happens “if an online platform already knows that a user is underage.”
How a platform might know that aside, the senator adds, “then it has to provide the safety and privacy protections required by the legislation -the platform cannot bury its head in the sand when it knows a user is underage.”
“Online platforms often already request a date of birth from new users, either for advertising and profiling the user or for compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Online platforms also frequently collect or purchase substantial amounts of other data to understand more about their users,” Blumenthal has said.
AS for COPPA 2.0, it also indirectly pushes for more age verification thanks to the new restrictions on the collection of data from minors. And while the bill doesn’t mandate age verification – platforms that want to collect data or target ads will have to verify the users’ age.
One way to abuse this provision for censorship is the same as what has been happening with the first iteration of COPPA – put creators in a position (say, through specific platform rules) to mark content as safe for children, which means it becomes restricted, and demonetized (stripped of ads).

Top 8 Reasons the ‘Establishment’ Hates Trump so Badly
A survey conducted this past February found that the top concerns for Americans heading into the November elections were inflation, immigration, poor leadership, federal spending, hunger and homelessness, crime reduction, and the fear of terrorist attacks.
Since Resident Biden has (illegally) occupied the Oval Office over the past 3.5 years, we’ve all been decimated by inflation across the board, including for fuel, food, insurances, travel, supplies and other necessities. It’s an ongoing horror story.
Just since Resident Biden took office 3.5 years ago, we’ve watched 15 million illegal immigrants stroll right into the United States, with money, transportation and no vetting, thanks to the Democrats’ open border policy. It’s a complete living nightmare, as many of these illegals have criminal histories, deal drugs, commit new crimes and almost entirely get away with it, thanks to liberal judges and D.A.s (funded by Soros).
Since Dementia Joe snuck into office, trillions of dollars have been printed and gone missing, while the U.S. funds senseless wars overseas, fake “green energy” companies that go bankrupt and the mass-terrorist infiltration from our southern border.
That brings us to the main reasons “Big Brother” hates Donald J. Trump so much, and why the fake news industrial complex has convinced nearly every loyal Democrat and Liberal that Trump is the #1 enemy of the State, an “existential threat” that needs to be “stopped at all costs” or “assassinated” in order to “save democracy.”
Top 8 reasons the “establishment” hates Trump so badly and wishes he had not survived the attempted assassination
#1. Trump is a multi-billionaire, so he’s not interested in embezzling billions of dollars via the Military Industrial Complex (that’s why he’s not a war monger).
#2. Trump calls out the Fake News Industrial Complex, which reveals so many of the government’s scams, plots and unconstitutional control-tripping schemes.
#3. Trump knows that the whole “climate change” movement is a Ponzi scheme, and that “Green Energy” is just a Leftist plot to launder billions in taxpayer funds.
#4. Trump questions the toxicity of vaccines and getting too many too close together as a baby and developing child, suggesting (correctly) this as a cause of autism.
#5. Trump is NOT pushing anything fascist or communist that supports police-state tyranny or depopulation.
#6. Trump is NOT a gun grabber.
#7. Trump aims to expose Deep State prerogatives and corruption, including past, present and future.
#8. Trump actually likes America and its citizens and wants the nation to do well.
Everyone, including Democrats and Liberals who hate Trump so much that they suffer from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), knows that whatever puppet takes Biden’s place will just inflict MORE of the SAME damage we’ve seen for the past 3.5 years. Inflation will double or triple. World War III is likely to begin under Democrat leadership. 15 million new illegal immigrants will enter America, including thousands of terrorists from China and Iran.
The psychotic leaders in Washington DC want to end all gas-powered vehicle and equipment use. That means the end of farming as we know it, and mass starvation periods coming up very soon, if the Democrats win in November. They have been very clear about this, and there are NO MACHINES ready to farm America that run on electric power, and even if there were, the whole grid is under attack anyway. We must end this “climate change” cultist scam once and for all.
There really is not another choice for saving the Republic, other than voting for Donald Trump and non-RINO Republicans to run Congress. God save the Queen (in this case, it’s King Trump). Harris is Recycling the 2020 Democrat Campaign
Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election through a successful tripartite subterfuge.
One, Biden never really campaigned. His handlers rightly assumed that the more the public and the media saw a debilitated Biden in the flesh, the less they would want him as president.
So, the Biden campaign used the COVID lockdowns to ensure that Biden stayed safe in his basement office.
Biden strategically distanced himself from disinterested journalists, using COVID as an excuse to avoid public appearances. It allowed him to run a 19th-century, front-porch sort of virtual campaign.
In his place, the liberal media, Democratic grandees, and the billionaire donor class served as Biden campaign surrogates—vastly outspending, out-advertising, and out-lawyering the underfunded incumbent Trump.
Second, again using COVID as a pretext, well-funded Democratic legal teams altered the voting laws during early 2020 in key swing states to encourage non-Election Day voting.
For the first time, majorities in many key states voted by mail-in/absentee ballots and during weeks of early voting.
We now know why the left was so motivated to push through radical balloting changes that were otherwise impossible prior to 2020 but have been mostly institutionalized since.
Non-Election Day ballots outnumbered Election Day ballots. They were far more likely to be cast by Democrats. And as the number of such ballots soared, the traditional rejection rate of non-Election Day ballots prior to 2020 fell—even as registrars were swamped.
Once obscure terms such as ballot harvesting and ballot curing became mainstream.
Ballot deadlines were extended. There was lax enforcement of incorrect ballot names and addresses or auditing the registrars’ rolls.
Rich liberal entities, such as Mark Zuckerberg and his $419 million in 2020 cash infusions, sought to absorb the work of state registrars. His aim was to “improve” voter turnout through partisan “assistance”—from funding drop boxes to monitoring non-Election Day ballots.
Three, in 2020, the enervated left-wing Joe Biden was reconstructed as a vigorous moderate “ol’ Joe Biden from Scranton.”
Biden’s stealth script was to provide a temperate veneer to the new hard-left Democratic Party.
His 2020 campaign claimed Joe was for “unity” and “moderation”—even as it camouflaged an otherwise extremist neo-socialist agenda to be implemented after November.
Can the Democrats repeat that winning formula for Kamala Harris in 2024?
Only partly.
Even without the excuse of COVID, Harris certainly will not agree to unscripted, ad hoc interviews with non-partisan journalists.
She is unable to speak extemporaneously and off the teleprompter without appearing childish.
Her handlers will ensure few opportunities for Harris to burst into cackling or to stream her puerile musings about yellow school buses or kindergarten geography.
Yet the third element of Biden’s 2020 strategy will be difficult to replicate.
The Bay Area leftist Harris—unlike the Biden of the 1980s and 1990s—never had any reputation, feigned or not, of being a “centrist” or “moderate.”
Her entire political career was one of pandering either to leftist Democrat voters in 2020 or ultra-liberal Californians in her statewide races.
She is on record of opposing fracking and off-shore drilling, private health care, border enforcement, and the traditional close U.S. relationship with Israel.
She proudly promoted the radical new green deal, defunding police forces, mandatory buybacks of private guns, and mass amnesties.
She gratuitously championed the swindler Jussie Smollett and his fraudulent claims of being a victim of systemic racism.
During the horrendous riots of 2020, she sought to raise bail for violent rioters and looters that had been arrested.
On CBS, she egged on the 2020 protests that had already turned violent with deaths, law enforcement injuries, arson, and mass looting—despite the pathetic efforts of partisan fact-checkers to claim otherwise.
Harris gushed of the turmoil: “They’re not going to stop. This is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not going to stop, and everyone beware, because they’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop before Election Day in November and they’re not going to stop after Election Day. They’re not going to let up and they should not, and we should not.”
What did Harris mean by “beware?”
Was the BLM- and Antifa-led mayhem really just a “movement?”
Why boast that the turmoil might be endless—both before and after Election Day?
And why connect the massive disruptions to the upcoming Election Day—unless she believes that unrest in the streets could weaken the election chances of the then incumbent president?
In sum, Harris, like Biden, is certainly capable of running a remote stealth campaign.
She will surely take advantage of 2020’s revolution in non-Election Day balloting.
Yet, unlike Biden, Harris has no credible moderate veneer—only an unapologetic radical past and a corpus of hard-left boasts.
So, 2024 will hinge on whether Republicans will expose Harris’s lifelong, hard-left ideology and extremist agendas.
She is a poor substitute for the successful bait-and-switch 2020 con of “ol’ Joe Biden,” the fake moderate “uniter” from Scranton.

EU Regulators Seek to Formalize ‘Disinformation Code’ Under Censorship Law
In the wake of the EU elections, those at the helm of the bloc are working to make the already contentious Digital Services Act (DSA) – which critics say is a sweeping censorship law – even more controversial.
Namely, EU regulators now want to make what was previously a set of “voluntary” guidelines implemented by online platforms – the Code of Practice on Disinformation – a formal part of the DSA.
This is the stance taken by the Digital Services Board, which just issued a report that now wants that “voluntary code” to be “swiftly converted” so that it becomes subject to the DSA. The Board consists of coordinators from the EU’s nation-states.
The report said their demand to bring the Code under the DSA umbrella is supported by the EU Commission (EC).
In 2022, the Code was initially joined by 34 signatories, while this number is currently 44. Among them are Adobe, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Twitch, and TikTok, but also several journalist and research groups, “fact-checking” groups, and the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA).
When it was announced, the EU said the Code represented a “strengthened” version of the one from 2018, and noted that it was the result of EC’s guidance issued in 2021.
Even before this latest initiative, it was unclear to what degree the rules were “voluntary” in practice, given that on many occasions top EU bureaucrats did not hide that, especially when it comes to online platforms, it was there to make sure they “self-regulate” – or the EU would do it for them.
If the Code is included in the DSA, it will mean that is exactly what has happened.
“In view of the important added value of the Code regarding mitigating systemic risks, the Commission considers a swift conversion of the Code as crucial, with the aim to finish this process in the coming months,” the report said.
The text of the 2022 Code states that its purpose is to, among other things, create scrutiny of ad placements, which includes demonetization of “disinformation” and “cooperation with relevant players”; the “integrity of services” section forks into “common understanding of impermissible manipulative behavior” and “transparency obligations for AI systems.”
The Code further seeks to “empower” both users and the research community. The first category was to expect signatories to focus on “enhanced media literacy” and, “better equipping users to identify misinformation,” as well as “functionality to flag harmful false and/or misleading information.”
Meanwhile, researchers were supposed to be provided with the signatories’ data, for the purpose of “researching disinformation.”
