After years of undermining Republicans through sheer incompetence (or worse), Ronna Romney McDaniel is stepping down as the head of the Republican National Committee on March 8, after Super Tuesday (which is when we expect Nimrata ‘Nikki’ Haley to tap out as well)..

“It has been the honor and privilege of my life to serve the Republican National Committee for seven years as Chairwoman to elect Republicans and grow our Party,” said McDaniel, the longest-serving chair since the 19th century who came under fire in January of 2023 after Republicans had terrible results going back to 2018.

McDaniel, Mitt Romney’s niece, said she will step aside at the RNC’s “Spring Training on March 8 in Houston to allow our nominee to select a Chair of their choosing.”

She has been heavily criticized by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, GOP committee member Harmeet Dhillon (McDaniel’s primary challenger in the Jan. 2023 election for chair), and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Others on the right such as Steve Bannon rallied behind the push to oust McDaniel.

McDaniel also came under fire for picking NBC to host a November GOP debate – during which former 2024 presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy suggested she come up on stage and quit during said debate, as the GOP has become a “party of losers” under her watch.’

“…there is a cancer in the Republican establishment… Since Ronna McDaniel took over as chairwoman of the RNC in 2017 we have lost 2018, 2020, 2022, no red wave, that never came.”

And then the haymaker…

“We got trounced last night in 2023 and I think that we have to have accountability in our party,” he went on.

“For that matter, Ronna if you want to come up on stage tonight. You want to look the GOP voters in the eye and tell them you resign… I will turn over my time to you.”

Former President Donald Trump – who is undoubtedly the leader of the Republican Party – endorsed Michael Whatley after Ms. McDaniel’s resignation was widely reported, the Epoch Times reports.

“I think my friend Michael Whatley should be the RNC’s next leader. Michael has been with me from the beginning, has done a great job in his home state of North Carolina, and is committed to election integrity, which we must have to keep fraud out of our election so it can’t be stolen,” Mr. Trump said in a statement on February 12.

The former president also endorsed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, to be the RNC co-chair.

Ms. Trump said later in an exclusive interview with The Epoch Times that she will launch the largest-ever legal ballot harvesting operation if she’s elected.

“We need to have the biggest legal ballot harvesting operation this country has ever seen,” she said.

“It feels, for a long time, like the Democrats have been playing chess and we’ve been playing checkers,” she said.

Her goal is for the Republican Party “to be the opposite, to be steps ahead of them, and on our toes, and ahead of the game, and facing forward the whole time.”

The Ukrainian leader claims that pro-Russian sentiment in Europe endangers the delivery of weapons to Kiev

Italy should revoke the visas of people with “pro-Putin” views to make sure they do not disrupt the delivery of Western military aid to Kiev, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said at a press conference on Sunday. He made the comments a day after signing a security agreement with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during her visit to the Ukrainian capital.

A reporter for Italian daily Corriere della Sera asked Zelensky whether people in Europe that are sympathetic towards Russian President Vladimir Putin could “complicate” the flow of weapons to Ukraine.

“I’m very thankful to your prime minister. She’s on our side, and I’m happy with the accord that we signed yesterday, but you are right: there are a lot of pro-Putin [people] in Italy. First of all, you have to cancel their visas,” Zelensky responded in English. He went on to urge Italy to provide more weapons, including anti-air missile systems.

Kiev frequently accuses its critics in Europe and the US, including politicians and people such as tech billionaire Elon Musk, of spreading “Russian propaganda.”

Last month, the Ukrainian Embassy in Rome protested several events dedicated to its ongoing conflict with Russia. In one case, a school in the Lazio region organized an online conference with a school from Russia’s Lugansk People’s Republic, which Ukraine views as “occupied territory.”

Ukrainian diplomats also complained about a planned exhibition and conference in Modena dedicated to the reconstruction and recovery of the Donbass city of Mariupol, which was captured by Russia in 2022 after months of fierce fighting. The organizers described Mariupol as “a symbol of the popular revolt against the junta in Kiev.” The mayor canceled the event, arguing that it would be seen as “open support” for Russia’s military operation in the neighboring state.

“This is nothing short of a sick and twisted social experiment where law enforcement is the bad guy and criminals are somehow victims of society and not responsible for their actions.”

“We are here today because California Public Safety is in crisis. Crime is steadily on the rise – and our public safety policy is one of the worst, if not the worst, in the nation,” Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said last week while joining lawmakers in Sacramento in support of several new bills dealing with public safety.

Bianco emphasized: I want to make this clear, and I want there to be no mistake in what I am saying … this is not by accident … the driving force in our crisis is a radical Progressive agenda fraudulently called Criminal Justice Reform. This is nothing short of a sick and twisted social experiment where law enforcement is the bad guy and criminals are somehow victims of society and not responsible for their actions.”

This radical “agenda began with the passage of AB 109, the so-called Public Safety Realignment Act. The state government failed to take responsibility for prison overcrowding or their failure to build more prisons and instead forced county jails to house state inmates while simultaneously releasing thousands of felons early. This has pushed our county jails to a near collapse and caused the early release of countless criminals thousands.” 

Bianco continued: “Thousands upon thousands of criminals are being released from custody early – crime is increasing, and our governor is closing prisons instead of building new ones. It defies common sense. In 2014, a complete fraud was perpetrated in California. The so-called Safe Streets and Safe Schools initiative, Prop 47, changed many felonies to misdemeanors, basically legalized drug use, and increased the amount of petty theft to nearly $1,000. In 2016, another lie was perpetrated on voters with the naming and wording of Prop 57, tricking voters into approving the release of thousands of violent criminals onto our streets and neighborhoods. This why we are here everyone knows Prop 47 and 57 are disasters – and yet Governor Newsom adamantly touts it as a success, and lawmakers continue to refuse to fix their mistake and the problems that they have created.” 

“Once crimes are no longer crimes it allows Governor Nome and Attorney General Bon to cite completely flawed data points to support their failures. Californians are now suffering the consequences of a failed social agenda,” he said. 

The reality in California is that criminal justice reforms are an epic failure by Democrats. Now, more and more state leaders are pushing to overhaul these disastrous ballot measures that have transformed some cities in the state into third-world-like conditions.
