Reform UK Supports Net Zero Immigration: ‘We Cannot Go On as We Are’

adminJun 5, 20243 min read
Migration expert agrees that “drastic measures are needed.”

In its first big policy announcement since Nigel Farage took over as leader on June 3rd, Reform UK has said it would reduce net legal migration to zero.

Net migration should be zero.

— Nigel Farage (@Nigel_Farage) June 4, 2024

The pledge radically sets Reform apart from the Conservatives and Labour, which have both spent decades proving they cannot be trusted when it comes to controlling Britain’s borders. It also comes just days after polling for the Centre for Migration Control (CfMC) suggested that around half of Britons want to see a freeze on all “non-essential” immigration.

Robert Bates, who is research director for the CfMC migration think tank, said that Reform is “right to identify that drastic measures are needed to reverse this dire position.” He told The European Conservative:

A consensus has loomed over British politics for the last two decades. Politicians of all stripes have clung to a naive belief that net migration needs to be running at the hundreds of thousands for the British economy to grow.

In reality, the UK has let in over 2.4 million people in the last two years, putting great strain on our public services, our housing market, and leading to an increasingly fractious society.

The measures which need to be taken are clear, and include scrapping the health and social care visa, abandoning the Tories’ ludicrous ambition of letting in hundreds of thousands of international students each year, and clamping down on those businesses which hand out visas to foreign workers rather than investing in the British workforce.

Questioned on the practicalities of bringing net migration to net zero, Farage told GB News that this would still see around 600,000 migrants entering Britain each year—a figure that is close to the number of people who emigrated from Britain in 2023.

When journalist and broadcaster Camilla Tominey suggested that the idea was “ludicrous,” a “pipedream,” Farage responded:

If we need more than 600,000 people a year, we’re doomed. Doomed. We’re finished. There will be no public services. Nothing will be left. The fabric of society will be gone.

Farage was greeted in his prospective parliamentary seat of Clacton by an enormous and excitable crowd—an event that was somewhat overshadowed by a young yob throwing a milkshake over the Reform leader. This very tangible protest, however, had the adverse effect of prompting both the Conservative home secretary and Labour shadow home secretary  to tweet in defence of Farage, who himself responded with a customary quip.

Just hours later, Labour leader Keir Starmer repeatedly failed to guarantee whether net migration would even fall (never mind hit zero) under his likely incoming government. He instead said that figures “need to come down, we have got a plan to bring them down but you can’t wish them down.”

Bates told this publication that “for too long the British public have been ignored on this issue. It is about time that they were heard.”

Biden Campaign Launches Massive Gay Sex Pride Initiative to Attract LGBTQIAAP2S+ Voters

The voter initiative – dubbed ‘Out for Biden-Harris’ – was introduced by Vice President Kamala Harris last month, who began by quoting homosexual sex abuser Harvey Milk before praising Joe Biden for elevating ‘LGBTQI+ leaders to every level of our administration.’

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign kicked off June by announcing a massive paid media and on-the-ground organizing blitz to attract LGBT-identifying voters during “pride month.”

The campaign will have a presence at more than 200 “pride” events across 23 states, including all battleground states, in an attempt to defeat the presumed GOP candidate, former President Donald J. Trump, in his bid for the White House.

The monster voter initiative – dubbed “Out for Biden-Harris” – was introduced by Vice President Kamala Harris last month via social media, who began by quoting homosexual sex predator Harvey Milk before praising Joe Biden for elevating “LGBTQI+ leaders to every level of our administration.”

Over the weekend, First Lady Jill Biden spoke at Pittsburgh’s annual “pride” festival while Harris met with a reported 150 LGBT activists in Los Angeles

“This community [sic] is under attack,” Jill Biden claimed in Pittsburgh. “Donald Trump is a bully to the [so-called] LGBTQ community, to our families, to our country. We cannot let him win.”

To cap off “pride month,” Joe and Jill Biden plan to host a pro-LGBT fundraiser in New York City.

“Thanks to the tireless work of LGBTQ+ organizers, our community [sic] has made enormous strides to equality, and thanks to President Biden, we haven’t just done undone the harm imposed by Trump, we’ve taken more action than ever to expand rights and freedoms for every single American,” said Biden campaign National LGBTQ+ Engagement Director Sam Alleman in a statement, apparently referring to false “rights” to homosexual “marriage” and “sex changes.” “All of that progress is on the line this November.”

Alleman notably criticized what he described as Republican efforts to “ban books” and “restrict surrogacy.”

“The Biden-Harris administration has appointed over 200 openly LGBTQ[-identifying] people to serve in all sorts of roles,” said Brandon Wolf of the pro-LGBT Human Rights Campaign. “That really matters.”

A poll conducted in January by the LGBT pressure group GLAAD found that homosexual and gender-confused “likely voters prefer President Joe Biden over Donald Trump by +53 percentage points nationwide (68% Biden / 15% Trump) and by +57 percentage points in seven current close contest states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.”

In 2020, NBC News exit polling found Biden won 64 percent of the “LGBTQ” vote, compared to Trump at 27 percent.

Still, according to an NBC News report, despite the high polling numbers, “Some of Biden’s allies worry about waning support among LGBTQ[-identifying] voters.”

According to the LGBT-themed Washington Blade, the Biden campaign is using fear tactics zeroing-in on so-called “Christian nationalist ideals” to rekindle support from homosexual and transgender-identifying individuals.

The campaign claimed that “attacking LGBTQ+[-identifying] Americans and taking away their [so-called] rights” is a “cornerstone” of Project 2025, the conservative Heritage Foundation’s agenda for a second Trump term.

In particular, the Blade called attention what it described as these proposals outlined in Heritage’s Project 2025:

Unsurprisingly, both Biden and Trump continue to embrace the title “most pro-gay President in history.”

Since leaving the White House, President Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump have hosted several events for self-identifying “gay conservatives” at their Mar-a-Lago resort home, including a homosexual “wedding.”

On Friday, Joe Biden issued a White House proclamation on “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Pride Month, 2024.”

Here are excerpts from that official statement, expressing unwavering allegiance to every conceivable demand of woke neo-Marxist LGBT forces, repeatedly invoking the false activist term “LGBTQI+ community“:

Advancing equality for the LGBTQI+ community is a top priority for my Administration.

signed the historic Respect for Marriage Act, which protects the [so-called] marriage of same-sex and interracial couples. As Commander in Chief, I was proud to have ended the ban on transgender[-identifying] Americans serving in the United States military. […]

We ended the disgraceful practice of banning gay and bisexual men from donating blood. We are doing this work here at home and around the globe where LGBTQI+ community members are fighting for recognition of their fundamental human rights [sic] and seeking to live full lives, free from hate-fueled violence and discrimination.

He continued his proclamation, which ended by encouraging people “to wave their flags of pride high”: “To the entire LGBTQI+ community – and especially transgender children [sic] – please know that your President and my entire Administration have your back.”

“We see you for who you are: made in the image of God,” the self-professed Catholic continued, noting his administration’s efforts to promote mutilating transgender chemical and surgical interventions, including for children, and to “better protect” LGBT-themed “festivals” and “marches.”

“The Department of Education and the Department of Justice are also addressing whether book bans may violate Federal civil rights laws” if they prohibit LGBT indoctrination of youth, he added.

“NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2024 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Pride Month,” Biden declared.

Biden ‘Not Ruling Out’ Boots on the Ground in Taiwan

The US president has refused to set limits on American military involvement in the event of conflict between Taipei and Beijing.

US President Joe Biden has declined to say how his nation would defend Taiwan from Beijing’s military, but would not “rule out” putting boots on the ground on the self-administered Chinese island.

Taiwan has been backed by successive governments in Washington, even after the US formally recognized the People’s Republic of China in 1979. The island was the last refuge of nationalist forces in the Chinese civil war of the 1940s, and the communist government on the mainland has gradually sidelined its opponents in the international arena.

Washington continued to provide Taiwan with arms and commerce opportunities despite technically acknowledging that a single Chinese nation is represented by Beijing. Unlike previous US presidents, Biden has deviated from the principle of strategic ambiguity, under which the Americans decline to publicly state how far they would go in backing Taipei. The president has repeatedly pledged to intervene militarily in the event of China trying to take the island by force.

In an interview with TIME magazine published on Tuesday, Biden was asked how exactly the US military would act in the event of an armed conflict in Taiwan.

“It would depend on the circumstances,” the president replied. “We’re continuing to supply capacity… And we’ve been in consultation with our allies in the region.”

He confirmed that he was not “ruling out using US military force” on the ground, but also considered other options, which he would not discuss publicly. He said: “You would then criticize me with good reason if I were to tell you.”

Senior US military and intelligence officials have claimed that Beijing may be preparing its military to seize Taiwan, with several deadlines for such an operation floated over the years.

Biden told the news outlet that he had discussed the issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping during their bilateral meeting in San Francisco last year, vowing not to seek independence for Taiwan. At the same time, he said “nor will we, in fact, not defend Taiwan… if China unilaterally tries to change the status.”

Beijing’s stated policy is to seek peaceful reunification with the island, but it has warned that it would resort to military action in response to a formal declaration of independence. Chinese officials have claimed that some American politicians are encouraging Taipei to cross this red line.

UK Nurses Sue National Health Service for Siding with Transgender Employee Over Allegations of Sexual Harassment in Changing Room

Nurses send open letter to NHS Foundation Trust

A group of 26 nurses in the United Kingdom have filed a lawsuit against the National Health Service (NHS) for siding with a transgender employee who allegedly harassed female staff in the women’s changing room.

The lawsuit, which stems from the policy of the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, accused the hospital of sexual harassment and sex discrimination for allowing staff members who identify with a gender that differs from their biological sex to use facilities – including changing rooms, toilets and showers – that align with their chosen gender identity. In line with this policy, the changing facilities in the hospital are designated as single-sex, with open spaces reserved for seating and lockers but no individual cubicles. This policy has reportedly led to several uncomfortable encounters with the transgender employee.

According to the female nurses, the transgender colleague often spends time in the female changing room in revealing attire, sometimes with the person’s male genitalia visible. The employee would also allegedly stare at and initiate conversations with the biologically female nurses while they were changing. This behavior has reportedly caused significant distress among the nurses, some of whom have had histories of sexual assault by men.

(Related: Female student RAPED in trans-inclusive restroom at New Mexico school.)

“It’s been really difficult for all of us,” the nurse said. “Some girls have had traumatic pasts; they’ve been abused by men. Some of them who have PTSD don’t want to be in a room getting undressed in front of a male. It’s had nurses on the ward crying.”

Another nurse, who was sexually abused as a child, recounted a particularly distressing encounter where the transgender colleague, half-naked, repeatedly asked her why she wasn’t getting changed. Meanwhile, an international nurse on the team has started wearing a vest and leggings to maintain modesty around the transgender colleague. The secure nature of the changing room, which requires a key press and code for access, adds to their fears. They worry that in the event of an incident, no one will hear them calling for help.

Furthermore, the nurses revealed that the transgender worker claimed to have stopped taking female hormones so that the employee’s girlfriend could get pregnant.

The female nurses first raised their concerns with their respective human resources departments in August 2023, but no action was taken.

Nurses send open letter to NHS Foundation Trust

In March 2024, the 26 female nurses signed a letter to the NHS Foundation Trust’s director of workforce, detailing their discomfort and the inappropriateness of the situation. They expressed that having a sexually active biological male in the female changing facilities was “intimidating” and “upsetting.”

The letter received no response, but a subsequent meeting was held with their head of human resources. During the meeting, the nurses were informed that the hospital fully supported their transgender colleague and suggested that they needed to “attend training,” “be educated” and “broaden their mindset.”

“[My manager] was basically told that we needed to be more inclusive, broaden our mindset,” one of the nurses who works for the hospital system said. “The Trust are backing this individual. We need to be educated, which is just, I find that absolutely insulting. Totally insulting. And we needed to compromise.”

In response, Andrea Williams, the chief executive of Christian Legal Center, an organization supporting the lawsuit, criticized the hospital for failing to balance the rights of all staff members.

“This NHS trust is putting a dangerous and discredited transgender ideology ahead of staff and patient safety, not to mention biological reality. We are concerned that what the nurses here are experiencing is just the tip of the iceberg. How many more people across the NHS, in other professions and in public places are having to go through similar experiences?” Williams said.

“Telling educated, qualified and caring women that they need to be ‘re-educated’ and be more ‘inclusive’ for raising concerns about what is happening is deeply troubling,” she continued. “Instead of giving in to the climate of fear surrounding speaking out against transgender ideology, these nurses are now refusing to be silenced and are taking a courageous stand. We will support them at every step.”

Swiss School to Trial Digital Trackers on its Pupils

Swiss School to Trial Digital Trackers on its Pupils

Teachers will be able to remotely monitor individual children or groups of them, and will be alerted if a child leaves the school grounds without permission.

A Swiss after-school care center is set to trial equipping children with trackers as a way to monitor their whereabouts on the school grounds.

At the Letten after-school care center in Birmensdorf, children will wear a magnetic wristband with a Bluetooth system that will allow the childcare staff to check where the child is; staff will receive an alert if a child leaves the after-school care center or school “without permission” during care hours.

According to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), the technology and equipment for the tracking system are being supplied by the head of the Letten after-school care center, Joel Giger, who founded a start-up called Companion last year and initiated the project in Birmensdorf. The company’s logo can also be seen on the school’s press release, made available to the NZZ.

The school administration does not see this as a problematic link, as its president Bettina Köhler told the NZZ. “Those responsible (…) at Birmensdorf school can gain new insights through the pilot project and at the same time offer the company the opportunity to test the product together with specialists on-site as part of the pilot project.”

The test at the Birmensdorf school will begin on June 10 with the third and fourth grades and will last until the summer vacations, the school revealed. The project will be extended to all classes between the summer and fall vacations. The test will then be evaluated and a decision made on the definitive introduction of the system.

It is up to the parents to decide whether they want their child to take part in the project or not. However, they must actively opt their children out. Tracking systems for children are not a new invention. GPS devices, which parents can use to locate their children at any time, can be ordered online at the click of a mouse. The number of such portable devices, also known as wearables, has increased significantly worldwide in recent years.

The cantonal data protection authority, however, is critical of the project. According to its spokesperson Hans Peter Waltisberg, data processing is proportionate if there is a “reasonable relationship” between the purpose pursued and the data processing. However, “a permanent localization of pupils does not seem necessary for the care of children.”

“It should be examined whether a Bluetooth wristband is the appropriate means of localization. For example, the fact that a wristband can also be removed must be taken into account,” he added.
