Colorado Governor Says He is Open to Replacing Joe Biden to Protect ‘Global World Order’
Colorado Governor Jared Polis (D) said he’s receptive to replacing Joe Biden as the Democrats’ presidential nominee, admitting the party is poised to lose against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
When asked by a reporter at the National Governors Association summer on Friday whether the Democrat Party can win against Trump with Biden as its nominee, Polis said he fears the party would lose.
“Well, of course, Democrats can win in November. It’s a very close election. I think it’s also fair and objective to say, yes, that, President Biden is behind, not by a lot, but he is behind the elections today, we would likely lose,” Polis responded.
“I think this means that we need to change something as a strategy to protect freedom, protect our democracy,” the governor continued. “We need to look at what that strategy is. Does it mean changing the campaign strategy, campaign message, the candidate? All of these things are being discussed.”
Polis also said he wants to protect the “global world order.”
“I want to make sure that we put our very best foot forward to protect our democracy going forward, which includes, of course, support for NATO, and global world order, the policies and the progress we’ve achieved the last four years,” he said.
“So, again, when you’re behind, it doesn’t mean you give up. It means you figure out what you need to change to come back and get ahead,” he added.
Other Colorado Democrats have directly called for Biden to step down.
Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) became the first Senate Democrat to publicly warn that Biden can’t defeat Trump.
“Donald Trump is on track, I think, to win this election and maybe win it by a landslide and take with him the Senate and the House,” Bennet said Tuesday. “So for me, this isn’t a question about polling, it’s not a question of politics. It’s a moral question about the future of our country, and I think it’s critically important for us to come to grips with what we face if, together, we put this country on the path of electing Donald Trump again.”
Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D) in a statement Friday also called for Biden to “pass the torch.”
“Joe Biden saved our country once, and I’m joining the growing number of people in my district and across the country to ask him to do it again. Please pass the torch to one of our many capable Democratic leaders so we have the best chance to defeat Donald Trump, who is the greatest threat to the foundation of this country that we have ever faced.”
But the Biden campaign has remained defiant, stating that Biden will remain in the race — even without the help of key donors.
Top Democrats Form Secret Committee to ‘Unelect the President’, Axios Reports
High-level Democrats, including the Obama and Clinton camps, have formed a committee aimed at ousting Joe Biden from the Democrat ticket, according to reports.
Axios reported Saturday that a coalition of “anti-Biden Democrats” are aggressively “commissioning polls, lobbying former presidents, back-channeling Democratic leaders, organizing donors and taking the fight to Biden in a very public way.”
The “Committee to Unelect the President” is comprised of the biggest movers and shakers of the Democrat Party machine.
It includes former Obama aides, former Clinton advisers, rank-and-file Congressional Democrats and swing-state Democrats, top donors led by actor George Clooney and Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, late night liberal talk show hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, New York Times columnists, and even some Biden aides.
From Axios:
They’re the unofficial Committee to Unelect the President. The mission: Push Biden out of the presidential race — the sooner, the better.
This loose anti-Biden network is growing by the day — and is circulating polls showing Democrats would shoot from sure losers to big winners with a new ticket. Some donors are talking of a massive financial commitment to any non-Biden presidential ticket.
These Democrats see the race in stark, black-and-white terms: Just three states matter — Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. That’s the Blue Wall, all of which Biden won in 2020.
And they see an obvious solution: Forget the niceties of backing Biden or even Vice President Harris. Be ruthless about finding the two people most likely to win those three states.
The anti-Biden Democrats are trading texts, emails and polling, fighting fellow Democrats on TV and X, and circulating stories and arguments by sympathetic journalists and columnists, including Ezra Klein and Matt Yglesias.
Many are in conversation with lawmakers to push their leaders to squeeze Biden and his inner circle. They know Biden and his family seem unmovable — so they hope for the use of overwhelming force by the Obamas + Clintons + Schumer + Jeffries + Pelosi.
Democrat strategist James Carville said former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are sending a veiled message to the Biden campaign to bow out.
“Silence is a very loud form of speech,” Carville said. “No one is saying ‘come hell or high water.’”
Another former official of Bill Clinton’s White House told Axios, “The Clinton diaspora is freaking the hell out.”
“But all these people going on the record aren’t helping. All it seems to have done is cause the Bidens to dig in deeper.”
Remarkably, the New York Times on Saturday accused Republicans of pushing a “conspiracy theory” that Democrats are secretly working to remove Biden from the Democrat ticket.

Meanwhile, Axios is reporting *this morning* how Dems are secretly plotting to replace Biden at the top of the ticket.
Unreal. pic.twitter.com/MPhKFHtvtS
“The idea that Democrats would plot to replace Mr. Biden has meshed with views perpetuated by former President Donald J. Trump about the Democratic Party, that its members are not just politically wrong, but remarkably conniving,” the Times reported.
“That conspiracy theory has also gained traction with help from another baseless belief, shared among many Trump supporters, that Mr. Biden is merely a puppet of Democratic elites or a shadowy political body referred to as the Deep State.”
The Times once again has egg on its face, thanks to Axios.
Border Patrol Praised for ‘Rescuing’ Illegals Hiding in Train Cars
Federal authorities are praising U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents for ‘rescuing’ illegal aliens who were found hiding in train cars on multiple occasions this week.
On Tuesday morning, USBP agents from Cotulla Station in Laredo Sector found 23 illegals inside a locked train compartment.
“During their routine duties – and with temperatures reaching nearly 100 degrees yesterday – Border Patrol agents rescued 23 migrants from a locked train compartment who were put in a life-threatening situation by callous human smuggling organizations who prioritize profit over all else,” Laredo Sector Chief Jesse Munoz explained in a statement.

The illegals were identified as citizens of Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
None required medical treatment.
“Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents heroically rescued 23 migrants, including children, from a freight train in 100°F heat. These brave agents saved lives & exposed the cruelty of human smuggling organizations,” acting head of Customs and Border Protection Troy Miller wrote on social media.

On Friday morning, agents from the same station discovered another group of illegals hiding in a locked train car containing new vehicles.
In total, 20 citizens of Mexico and Guatemala were pulled out of the compartment and found to be in good health.
Incredibly, photographs indicate some of the illegals were found sitting inside a brand new vehicle being brought into the U.S.

Watch: British PM Keir Starmer Deflects Question About Biden’s Mental Fitness
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer dodged questions about Joe Biden’s age and declining mental acuity during a CNN interview Friday, saying it is up to American voters to decide their president.
CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Starmer, who became the newly-elected prime minister of the United Kingdom earlier this month, whether he believed 80 years was too old for someone to serve as U.S. president.
“Obviously, in America, it’s for the American people to decide who they want to be their president,” Starmer replied.
Starmer also claimed Biden was in “good form” when the two met earlier this week.
“We were billed for 45 minutes. We probably went on for the best part of an hour. Covered a lot of ground. And, he was in good form,” Starmer said.
Tapper also asked Starmer if he endorsed Biden for president, noting the U.K. leader told Politico in 2023 that a second Trump term would not be his “desired outcome.”
“I am a progressive, and we’re sister parties with the Democrats. But I’ve also been really clear that I will work with whoever the American people decide to elect as their president. That’s what you would expect — and it is for the American people to decide,” Starmer replied.
Biden continued to raise concerns among Democrats over his mental fitness after his disastrous NATO press conference on Thursday, where he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as Russian President Vladimir Putin and his VP Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump.”
The press conference was so bad that the largest super PAC supporting Biden’s presidential campaign froze approximately $90 million in pledged donations unless the Democrat Party substitutes Sleepy Joe as its candidate.
You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet
If you think things are mad already when it comes to climate change, just wait. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
Some events of recent weeks:
- Within days of winning the British general election, the new Labour government announces a total ban on all new drilling for oil in the North Sea.
- The government of Denmark approves an annual tax for farmers of hundreds of dollars per cow to offset the emissions they produce. The tax will be introduced in 2030.
- Scientists from the University of Chicago and Stanford tell the world, in a new white paper, that urgent research needs to be conducted into glacial geoengineering to prevent Arctic and Antarctic ice sheets from melting. They propose, among other things, anchoring giant “curtains” to the seafloor to prevent warmer water from undermining ice sheets, and drilling huge holes in them, right down to the glacier bed, to allow meltwater streams to be redirected and preserve the ice.
Last year we were told, by UN secretary general António Guterres, that the world has entered the era of “global boiling.” Global warming is now officially over.
This is hysterical language. It bears no relation whatsoever to most people’s experience of the weather. It’s mid-July and it might as well be February here in England. Frankly, I pray for global boiling when all I really want to do is get some sun on my wedding tackle and jump in the sea. But the English summer is the English summer. Always has been, always will be.
None of this matters, though, because the climate cult operates according to a logic that is totally its own and amenable in no obvious way to inputs that don’t conform in the most circular way to its own presuppositions and strictures. That’s why it’s a cult.
As we near 2030, and it becomes certain that the world’s nations will not reach their emissions-reductions targets as set out in the Paris Climate Accords, we can expect the hysteria to get so much worse. We’re already being told that catastrophic climate change is now unavoidable, and that billions of people will be on the move in the coming decades. Some are even saying that these billions should be welcomed to the West now, in advance of the chaos. This is so-called “climate migration,” and it’s going to dominate discussion of the potential effects of climate change very soon. The new hard-left coalition that controls French politics has already demanded that Macron make the effects of climate change a legitimate reason for migrants from anywhere in the world to come to France.
The consequences of the measures I listed at the beginning of the piece, or at least the first two, are pretty clear. The phasing out of fossil fuels will make Western economies poorer and less productive. People will have to adjust their lives to rolling blackouts, to not heating their homes in the winter and to using antiquated public transport instead of their beloved cars. Western governments, for whatever reason, will continue the South Africanisation of our nations, even as massively polluting countries like India and China continue building oil-, gas- and coal-fired power stations at a rate that cancels out everything they do.
Taxes on animal emissions will force small farmers out of business. Those small farmers who remain will be forced to diversify into landscape management, planting forests and acting as glorified stewards of the land, rather than real farmers. Big corporations will move in and capture the food supply at last, completing a process that has been ongoing for the last century and resulted in unparalleled ill health and loss of freedom through dependency on medicine and the products of Big Pharma. We will all eat less meat and dairy products, maybe even none at all, and be reduced to a uniform standard of weakness unseen in our history as a species.
When it comes to geoengineering, though, we simply don’t have a clue. Nothing like it has ever been tried. That’s what makes it so incredibly dangerous.
Until recently, geoengineering was the preserve of eccentric cranks. Scientists knew that the climate is an extraordinarily complex system, and that any human intervention to modify it is likely to prove clumsy at best and to have unintended consequences that could be disastrous and irreversible at worst.
In their capacity as advisors to government, scientists told our rulers this, and any discussion of its potential uses was left in the realms of science fiction where it belonged.
So when somebody like Russ George came along in 2012 and took it upon himself to dump hundreds of tons of iron sulfate in the waters off British Columbia, hoping to create a giant carbon sink, he was roundly condemned for his absurd recklessness; although he somehow managed to escape prosecution. He should have been made an example of.
Now, however, a little over a decade later, scientists and government have lost all their qualms. Huge amounts of money are pouring in to geoengineering research across the globe, and small-scale pilot projects are already taking place, with the aim to scale them up very soon and unleash them on the world.
In February, The Wall Street Journal published a detailed report on three ongoing important geoengineering projects taking place, with a mixture of government and private funding.
In Australia, researchers from Southern Cross University are releasing a brine mixture into the sky to create larger, brighter clouds that will reflect more sunlight and reduce local temperatures. The project is funded by the Australian government, universities, and conservation organizations.
In Israel, Stardust Solutions is testing a delivery system to disperse reflective particles at high altitudes, again to reduce solar radiation. The startup is testing the system indoors but will move to outdoor tests in the “next few months.”
And in the US, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute plans to add 6,000 gallons of sodium hydroxide to the ocean off Martha’s Vineyard. Like Russ George, they want to produce a carbon sink that sucks carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and into the sea, storing it there. The U.S. government and private sources fund the project. The release of the chemical will require further approval from the Environmental Protection Agency.
Of course, scientists still know that the climate is an enormously complex system, far beyond our full comprehension—they know this, primarily, because their own models have so far predicted Jack sh*t—but now they’re saying the benefits of geoengineering outweigh the risks. How they’ve reached this conclusion is anybody’s guess, since they can’t predict the effects of climate change or of geoengineering experiments.
Ultimately, it seems, we’re just supposed to Trust the Science. Where have we heard that before?
If we are to prevent ecological disaster on an unprecedented scale, we need to get a handle on geoengineering, and we need to do it now. Tennessee, at least, has enacted a ban on geoengineering within its state territory, but that’s nowhere near enough. We don’t just need state bans: we need national and international bans.
So far, the only determined and successful pushback against the climate cult on the international stage came under President Donald Trump, who pulled the US out of the Paris Climate Accords and increased domestic production of energy sources tremendously. Trump has already promised to pull the US out of the Paris Accords for a second time if he wins this November.
Trump’s climate agenda, such as it is, should include strong anti-geoengineering provisions. His administration should make clear that any decision taken to geoengineer the earth’s climate is a decision taken on behalf of the US and its citizens by a foreign power, and that, under an America First policy, is a hostile act. Countries who do geoengineering should be treated as enemies. Startups and corporations and activists who do it—and believe me, activists are going to try it—should be treated as international terrorists. No exceptions.
By the climate cultists’ own admission, the planet is our common inheritance. And that’s exactly where the fightback against this reckless nonsense should begin—before it’s too late.
