UBS: Taylor Swift Could Derail the Global Battle Against Inflation
Just when you thought the headlines couldn’t seem more absurd, Swiss banking giant UBS has issued a warning that in the global battle against inflation, the worst enemy of central banks could be none other than pop star Taylor Swift.
The report could be seen as one part genuine economic analysis, one part marketing schtick for the UBS Arena. This is the chosen venue for many huge events including Taylor Swift concerts and the MTV Music Video Awards. However, the underlying point is that sudden spikes in demand make it harder for central bankers to use monetary policy tools to cool inflation.
UBS economist Paul Donovan describes in his report how huge events that draw attendees from all over the world — such as Taylor Swift shows, which draw masses of screaming Swifties who flood cities around the world to see their favorite star — create demand shocks. These are especially noticeable in industries like travel and hospitality when a sudden influx drives up prices at hotels, restaurants, airlines, taxis, and similar services. Donovan says:
“Hotel prices will often rise for accommodation near a mega event venue. Transport costs (in particular air fares) may also increase. The measurement method for these prices is more likely to capture the unusual and transitory pattern of demand, and it is here that the increase in consumer price inflation takes place.”
It isn’t so much that UBS is wrong. Sudden increases in demand drive up prices. But the large point is how the notion itself lays bare the total absurdity of the global economy, and the nonsensical notion that a handful of central planners is able to micromanage global inflationary pressures. Are Taylor Swift concerts really enough to move the needle on global inflation and derail monetary policy efforts?
Eurozone inflation and PMI got a boost this month, but it was entirely artificial — caused by the fact that France hosted this year’s Olympic Games. The surge in economic activity created a massive but entirely transitory increase in demand, dragging up Eurozone economic data points. Meanwhile, fundamentals remain weaker, and major Eurozone economies outside of France continue to contract, fueling motivation for the ECB to return to cutting interest rates again next month.

However, with interest rates already too low to properly get inflation under control (with or without Taylor Swift and the Olympics), a rate cut will only push high prices even higher for Europeans. And in countries like France, with high debt and unsustainable spending, there’s an increasing chance of a real debt crisis that ripples through the rest of Europe.
Even in countries like Germany where debt-to-GDP ratios are lower this year, contracting economies keep signaling trouble. For better or worse, none of this is Taylor Swift’s fault, so Swifites are off the hook — but the same can’t be said for central banks.
All the ECB, the Fed, and other central banks know how to do is print money, locking countries into boom and bust cycles as they tinker with the money supply and set interest rates that the free market would never have settled on naturally. Central banks don’t create real or sustainable growth.
The bankers would love to be able to blame Taylor Swift or the Olympics for economic crises. But these busts arise from, and are made even worse, by their own monetary tinkering and government intervention.

What is the truth about Kamala Harris’ rise to political power?

According to her own version of events, as told to Jimmy Fallon, Kamala started protesting for social justice as a little girl in a stroller, and she told her mom that she just wanted “fweedom.” However, that story is almost identical to an anecdote that was told by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We know that she’s not the brightest bulb if she thought she could plagiarize a Martin Luther King story in modern progressive America and get away with it.
Kamala presents herself as an African-American. On her supposed black side, her father, Donald J. Harris, is a Jamaican-born Marxist who served as a Stanford professor. As I reported, Don Harris praised Karl Marx in an introduction he wrote to a reprint of a book by a Bolshevik Communist Russian revolutionary. Also, Don Harris apparently does not even consider himself to be black, according to legendary TV judge Judge Joe Brown. In fact, according to Don Harris’ own admission, Kamala is descended from a white slave owner in Jamaica named Hamilton Brown who owned more than 1,000 slaves and got a big payment from the British government after slavery ended in the United Kingdom, courtesy of a loan backed up in part by the Rothschild family that the British people had to pay back for generations.
On her other side, Kamala hails from a high-caste Brahmin family from India. Her uncle Gopalan is a defense expert who worked for an Indian government-affiliated think tank called the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses. But that doesn’t stop Kamala from LARPING as an African-American by wearing Converse sneakers, because apparently she thinks she’s a black person from 1962. Kind of like Wilt Chamberlain. Speaking of which, Kamala allegedly had quite the sexual history in her rise to power — a sexual history that includes former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, whose wife knew that Willie was unfaithful but who rationalized his infidelity by saying that at Willie’s inauguration she would be, quote, “the bitch holding the Bible.” Kamala became a prosecutor, working for the system of mass incarceration of black people. Her attempts to appeal to the black community are awkward at best, as evidenced by the fact that she thought that Tupac Shakur is still alive.
Despite her many lies, Kamala told Al Sharpton that she plans to pass a bill that would investigate the possibility of giving out reparations to descendants of slaves. But does she really care about black people? According to my article on PatrickReports.com: Kamala Harris is accused of personally covering up the alleged radiation poisoning of black people who lived on the Treasure Island development site in San Francisco. Harris is accused of lying about her desire to help the black people in order to get their votes for her U.S. Senate campaign.
Ex-residents of Treasure Island revealed Kamala Harris’ alleged deception at a March 2019 press conference, according to a little-seen and long-buried interview conducted by the group Labor Video Project. Treasure Island used to be a Navy base that trained sailors on radiological war, which is why the Navy found more than a thousand “radioactive items” at the site as of 2019 during a cleanup operation, prompting widespread safety concerns from ecological experts. But that didn’t stop developers from constructing a more than billion-dollar residential and commercial revitalization project on the island with the complicity of San Francisco politicians who tried to shoo away safety concerns for years. And guess what? Nancy Pelosi’s cousin Laurence Pelosi was an executive for Lennar, a company that happens to be one of the chief partners on the Treasure Island development deal.
Kamala also pushed the Coronavirus vaccine needle that is widely believed to be a killer bioweapon. In fact, Kamala led an effort to track and harass unvaccinated people at their homes. As I reported in 2021: “The Joe Biden administration created a “Vaccine Hesitancy Map” using U.S. Census Data in order to help pro-vaccine activists target counties where people who don’t want to take the vaccine live. The Biden regime’s “We Can Do This” initiative, operated by the Department of Health and Human Services, sought to embolden activists around the country to push the Coronavirus vaccine on their fellow Americans. The activists could look at a color-coded “vaccine hesitancy” map that features vaccine hesitancy rates and racial demographics per county. Kamala Harris is using the “We Can Do This” program to coach pro-vaccine activists on how to go door to door pushing the vaccine.”
So, where does Kamala’s power come from, aside from all the lying and sleazy political dealings?
As I recently reported, Kamala Harris was working directly with the Masonic group in Los Angeles that operated an illegal shadow police department that aimed to set up shop in 33 different states including Mexico City. Kamala Harris’ own staffer Brandon Kiel was arrested for his role in the scheme. The secret police force claimed to be a modern descendant of the Knights Templar, based on “bloodlines.”
Now, the scandal deepens. Muckracker.com (which cited my original report) followed up with an investigation into some of the videos put out by the Masonic group, and Kamala Harris’ name pops up repeatedly. If you’re not familiar with the case, it’s quite a doozy. Then-California attorney general Kamala Harris’ deputy director of community affairs Brandon Kiel’s arrest in 2015 for “impersonating a peace office” sparked a brief wacky news item about the secret Masonic police force that involved Kiel and his top hat-wearing father-in-law David Inkk Henry (aka “David Henry X,”) who also got arrested. Kiel had his charges dropped on the same day that David Henry X suffered a pulmonary embolism and died at age 47 in 2016. Muckraker points to several old Youtube videos in which members of the Masonic police department explicitly refer to their relationship with Kamala Harris, making it clear that Harris had deep ties to Kiel and the Masonic group, which debunks her office’s initial attempt to distance herself from Kiel. Brandon Kiel even claimed to have the authority of Kamala Harris’ office when he was speaking to a group of Freemasons. And David Henry X said that the arrests of the Masonic police officers were part of a conspiracy against Kamala Harris. It turns out that Kamala’s office was working with the Freemasons on the issue of child truancy.
Disturbingly, as I reported, Kamala Harris personally worked as a lawyer for the U.S. government to persecute the mother of a child named Jonah Rief, who was taken away from his mother by a judge. The child was allegedly sex trafficked. Additionally, Harris as California attorney general oversaw a system of child sex trafficking in the foster care system where missing foster kids don’t get an Amber alert but are merely registered as “runaways” by the state. Harris’ office also met with families of children victimized by CPS child trafficking, but chose not to intervene to stop the problem.

‘Betrayal’: KENNEDYS Throw RFK Jr. Under Bus Following Trump Endorsement
Five family members of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday condemned their sibling for supporting Donald Trump, claiming he was dishonoring the Kennedy legacy.
In a joint statement released Friday following RFK’s suspension of his campaign and endorsement of Donald Trump’s re-election bid, the Kennedys wrote they supported Kamala Harris and were appalled by their brother’s decision.
“We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise and national pride,” read a statement posted to X by RFK sister Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, adding, “We believe in Harris and Walz.”

“Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story,” the remarks signed by five Kennedys stated.
The effort to distance themselves from RFK was received poorly on social media, with some claiming that five siblings teaming up against one over political differences spoke volumes about them.

Kennedy on Friday declared he would forge a “unity” party with the Trump campaign in efforts to prevent the Democrats from winning in November, labeling them “the party of war, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big ag, and big money,” while also saying it would “maximize my chances to save America’s children and restore national health.”
“The most unifying theme for all Americans is that we all love our children,” RFK stated.
RFK did not publicly address his family’s statement as of writing.
The controversy comes as RFK is rumored to be a special guest of Trump’s at a Friday rally in Glendale, Arizona.
