‘British men and women’ told to ‘be prepared for a call-up if NATO goes to war with Putin.’

Britain’s outgoing Chief of the General Staff (CGS), General Sir Patrick Sanders, told The Telegraph this week the nation’s young men and women will be forced into military service if the UK goes to war with Russia.

While he claimed he doesn’t support conscription, the top general told the outlet he “wants British men and women to be prepared for a call-up if NATO goes to war with Putin.”

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a “call-up” as “an order to report for military service.”

In his Wednesday speech at the International Armoured Vehicles conference in West London, Sir Patrick suggested the UK military should expand by more than 50,000 troops within three years.

Sky News noted the public should be worried the head of the British Army is making such statements, with one reporter saying, “We’ve been too complacent. What’s coming on the horizon should shock us, should worry us and we’re not prepared.”

He added, “We’ve had three decades or so since the Cold War, life has gone well. It’s now going to get more difficult as authoritarian states exploit our timidity.”

Sir Patrick isn’t the only high-level individual telling citizens to prepare for what would likely be a WWIII scenario.

Top NATO official Adml Rob Bauer said last week civilians of countries in the organization must get ready for “all-out war with Russia in the next 20 years.”

Making a similar comment to General Patrick, Bauer also warned “private citizens” that the coming conflict “would require wholesale change in their lives.”

While General Patrick danced around committing to conscription, Bauer stated, “You have to have a system in place to find more people if it comes to war, whether it does or not. Then you talk mobilization, reservists or conscription.”

UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps also said earlier this week that the nation needs to be “prepared” for war, and prior to that said Britain was “moving from a post-war to pre-war world” where its “adversaries are now more connected with each other.”

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s official spokesman told The Independent the government currently has no plans to change the military’s volunteer status.

Speaking on Sir Patrick Sanders’ remarks, Sunak’s office said, “Hypothetical scenarios” are “not helpful.”

Wall Street Journal argues former South Carolina governor should continue because Trump could be convicted, die from old age, or be assassinated.

An opinion piece from the Wall Street Journal editorial board is stirring outrage for suggesting GOP candidate Nikki Haley should stay in the 2024 presidential race because “strange things” could happen to frontrunner Donald Trump, including assassination.

In an article published after Tuesday’s primary results titled, “Nikki Haley Earns the Chance to Fight On After New Hampshire,” the publication argued the former South Carolina governor should continue because Trump could be convicted, die from old age, or be assassinated by an angry detractor.

“If she can remain competitive, there’s an argument for Ms. Haley to stay in the race through the July convention,” the WSJ wrote. “Mr. Trump faces a treacherous legal road…Ms. Haley could stay in the race, rack up delegates, and see what happens if he is found guilty.”

It added: “Strange things can happen with candidates who are this old and this disliked by a majority of the public. The 2024 election may have more twists before the Trump vs. Biden die is cast.”

The bizarre passages raised eyebrows on social media Tuesday night.

“Is there any way to read this that does not involve the WSJ saying Nikki Haley should stay in the race because Trump might die & someone might kill him?” questioned cyber expert Mike Benz.

Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who has called on Haley to drop out of the race, said it shows the mega-donors behind her campaign are hopeful something takes Trump out.

Others also perceived the passages as a veiled threat.

“Die is cast” is from Julius Caesar when he crossed the Rubicon to wage war against the establishment Senators of Rome. An insurrection.

Caesar took power and the Senate stabbed him in the back.

WSJ knew what they were doing with their suggestive word choice at the end of the quote where they used the word “die.”

Shame on them. It’s essentially a threat against Trump.

The menacing commentary comes just days after Alexander Soros was accused of issuing a veiled death threat towards Trump after he posted an image on social media showing a bullet hole and a wad of $47.

Last month, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) also highlighted a Washington Post article warning of a forthcoming “Trump dictatorship” in 2024 that was accompanied by a thumbnail of assassinated Roman leader Julius Caesar bursting out of Trump’s head.

It seems the Deep State is keeping all options on the table as the uncertainty of a prospective second Trump presidency looms.

74 people, including 65 Ukrainian service members, were killed in the crash in Belgorod Region

Kiev’s forces knowingly downed a Russian plane carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war that crashed on Wednesday, killing all on board, in order to pin the attack on Moscow, the Defense Ministry has said, adding that Kiev had once again shown its “true colors”.

In a statement following the incident, the ministry revealed that a Russian IL-76 cargo plane had crashed in Belgorod Region, claiming the lives of 65 Ukrainian POWs, as well as six crew members and three Russian soldiers. 

The Defense Ministry claimed that the “Kiev regime committed a terrorist act” by targeting the plane, which was transporting POWs for a further prisoner exchange, from the Chkalovsky military airbase near Moscow to Belgorod.

Russian officials stated that the plane had been hit at 11:15am local time by Ukrainian air defense forces stationed in Kharkov Region, adding that the military had registered the launch of two missiles.

Confirming that everyone aboard was killed in the attack, the ministry said that the Ukrainian leadership was well aware of the flight and its mission. It noted that Moscow and Kiev had agreed to conduct a prisoner exchange later on Wednesday near the Russian border village of Kolotilovka in Belgorod Region. 

“Nevertheless, the Nazi Kiev regime [carried out this attack] in a bid to accuse Russia of killing members of the Ukrainian military. By committing this terrorist act, the Ukrainian leadership showed its true face, disregarding the lives of its citizens.“

Russian officials stated earlier that the attack used either US-made or German air defense systems, with State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin urging Kiev’s Western backers to finally realize that they are backing a “Nazi regime.”

Russian MP Andrey Kartapolov said a second plane had been carrying another 80 captured Ukrainian troops, which was swiftly diverted from the danger zone after the first aircraft was attacked.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has so far declined to comment on the incident, saying only that it was looking into the matter. However, Andrey Yusov, a spokesman for Kiev’s Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), confirmed that Russia and Ukraine were indeed scheduled to carry out a prisoner exchange on Wednesday, adding that it had since been canceled. 

Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainskaya Pravda initially reported, citing unnamed defense officials in Kiev, that the Il-76 was destroyed by the country’s military. Later, however, it removed the mention of Kiev’s role in the attack.
