Why have the flows of illegal migration into the United States shifted radically in 2024?

Border expert Auden Cabello explains how Mexican authorities have cracked down on illegal migration through states controlled by the government while regions with strong cartel presence have seen increased smuggling and migration traffic in recent months.

Many of the poorest migrants travel north via the cheapest methods possible, such as riding atop “La Bestia” before hopping on trains that eventually stop in the Mexican border city of Piedras Negras in Coahuila, where they either wait for CBP One appointments or attempt illegal crossings into Eagle Pass, Texas, with the help of NGOs and corrupt officials.

Meanwhile, migrants who can afford flights or hefty smuggling fees often end up illegally entering other areas in Texas, Arizona, or California via the Mexican states of Tamaulipas, Chihuahua, or Sonora, where cartels operate with impunity.

Cabello says there is “turf war” playing out in southern Mexico among criminal networks vying for “big dollar migrants” who are willing to pay anywhere from $5,000 to $30,000 to be smuggled into the U.S.

He also warns of an unfolding “spring surge” as waves of migrants begin embarking in caravans and hopping trains to the U.S. as the weather improves and Mexican authorities tire of holding the line.

‘Johnson, Schumer & the deep state are writing the Ukraine bill,’ writes Congressman Thomas Massie.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and GOP Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky posted to social media Monday, warning the American people House Speaker Mike Johnson is about to disregard congressional rules to pass an unpopular Ukraine aid package.

“Speaker Johnson is planning to give another $60 BILLION to keep the war raging in Ukraine and go against the will of 70% of the American people. Even worse, he’s going to suspend the rules to pass it,” MTG posted.

Massie wrote, “Unfortunately, this is not April fools. Johnson, Schumer & the deep state are writing the Ukraine bill. Then Johnson will suspend rules to pass it. ‘We’re putting that product together & we’ll be moving it right after the district work period,’ -Johnson.”

Texas GOP Rep. Chip Roy declared Speaker Johnson “should not put a Ukraine bill on the floor, unless or until we have meaningful reforms to deal with our wide-open borders.”

Johnson told Fox News on Sunday that Congress will vote on a Ukraine aid bill after the House returns on April 9.

Former Trump chief strategist Stephen Bannon explained the evil spiritual forces behind Democrats like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, characterizing her and leftists like her as embodying a “force of darkness.”

“…That victory in 2016 was definitely providential. Hillary Clinton and what she represents is a force of darkness. That was really the managed decline of our nation,” Bannon said on his show last week.

Remarking former President Donald Trump possesses extreme “moral courage” to go up against these forces, Bannon went on to describe how the imprisonment of ex-Trump adviser Peter Navarro over the Easter holiday was symbolic and also due to these same dark forces.

“Remember this weekend we’re here, and Peter Navarro is in prison. John the Baptist was in prison. Well, Peter Navarro’s in prison,” Bannon said. “In fact, Jesus Christ himself for a number of hours was imprisoned by the Roman authorities.

“I want you to think about that over Easter, Peter Navarro, a decent and honest man, is in prison, imprisoned by Nancy Pelosi and Merrick Garland. I would say pretty good forces of darkness, right? Pretty definable.”

Bannon continued:

“So at the end of the day, I see this and I’ve always seen this as a spiritual conflict because I saw it up front up close and personal and I will tell you that the steal in 2020 was also providential. The victory in ’16 was providential. So was the steal. Because that was to show us this was just no longer managed decline by the elites. This was something far darker, far more urgent.”
