‘Squatter-Squad’ Using Home Inspectors And Other Legal Techniques to Send Squatters Packing

Home theft is on the rise.

You may have noticed an increase in stories involving homeowners in blue states who can’t evict squatters due to various laws that make it extremely difficult to do so.

And more recently, a Queens woman was arrested after trying to evict squatters out of her house.

As Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse Blog wrote in February;

Thanks to online listings, it is easier than ever to identify properties that are vacant, and many states have laws that make it exceedingly difficult to get squatters out once they have settled in.  In some cases, squatters are able to live rent free in beautiful homes for months or even years.  This is becoming an absolutely massive problems, especially in certain areas of the country.  For example, it is being reported that squatters have taken over approximately 1,200 homes in the Atlanta area…

In the state of Washington, squatters have taken over an entire apartment complex and have turned it into a den of crime

California also has ridiculous laws, and right now “a very sophisticated criminal ring of squatters” is making a ton of money from the Beverly Hills mansion that they have occupied…

Given the recent surge in squatting, a Los Angeles-based group known as the Squatter Squad has been making headlines for their novel approaches to evicting squatters; home inspectors and other legal techniques.

In a viral video from earlier this month, a team of Los Angeles home inspectors can be seen ejecting a group of around a dozen squatters, before entering the home, changing the locks and boarding up the windows, Fox News reports.

“The police are gonna come,” one of the squatters can be heard telling the inspectors in the front yard of a San Fernando Valley home.

“That’s fine,” the inspector replies. “We’re coming in.”

YES, More Of This ??

In California squatters are taking over people’s properties so this company called Squatter Squad is coming in and REMOVING THEM ??

If they don’t want to come out & prove they’re on the lease, they’ll rip the doors off the property and force them out

Squatter Squad, which took the video, claims to have been legally removing squatters from property since 2018.

They use various legal techniques, applicable on a case by case basis, to remove people who invade homes and refuse to leave.

This was a very tricky and complex job,” said Lando Thomas, a Squatter Squad member.

The intruders were under the impression that any entry into the house required a three-day notice obtained through court. However, they were wrong. A building inspection only requires a 24-hour notice and does not have to go through the court, he said. -Fox News

According to Thomas, the intruders thought that any entry into the home required a three-day notice obtained through the court – however they, being idiots, were wrong, as a building inspection only requires 24-hour notice and does not have to go through the court.

“We’re gonna press charges,” one squatter told them.

“That’s fine,” the inspector replied. “Take me to court.”

When the police showed up, they stood in the street and let the inspectors do their work while the squatters packed up their belongings and left.

Success! Until of course George Soros begins funding their lawsuits and California lawmakers ‘work their magic’ for their constituents.

‘There’s a Lot More Chainsaw’: Argentine President Milei to Fire 70,000 Government Workers

Milei also boasted at an event on Tuesday that he has frozen public works, cut off some funding to provincial governments and terminated more than 200,000 social welfare plans, which he labeled as corrupt, all as part of his strategy to reach a fiscal balance at any cost this year.

Argentina’s libertarian president Javier Milei, perhaps best known for his shotgun approach to government jobs…

… plans to fire 70,000 government workers in the coming months, in what Bloomberg called one of the clearest signs yet of how the libertarian’s chainsaw-style approach intends to slash the swollen state.”

Beyond the job cuts, Milei also boasted at an event on Tuesday that he has frozen public works, cut off some funding to provincial governments and terminated more than 200,000 social welfare plans, which he labeled as corrupt, all as part of his strategy to reach a fiscal balance at any cost this year.

“There’s a lot of blender,” Milei said in an hour long speech at the IEFA Latam Forum in Buenos Aires, referring to the erosion of wages and pensions by 276% annual inflation. “There’s a lot more chainsaw.”

Other key points from Milei’s speech Tuesday:

  • Milei said peso futures contracts are aligned with the central bank’s 2% monthly crawling peg scheme, labeling calls to sharply devalue the currency again “ridiculous”
  • Argentina central bank on the path to achieving net neutral reserves after starting with debt liabilities that surpassed cash on hand by $11.5 billion in December
  • Milei says he’ll double down on his attempts to reform the Argentine economy after 2025 congressional elections, with more than 3,000 reforms in the pipeline
  • He described the Senate rejecting his emergency decree as “marvelous” because “it left all the dirty fingers” of exposed of politicians he calls “delinquents”
  • Milei expects V-shaped economic recovery

Full speech is below:

It’s not just the US that has a government worker problem with its 23.2 million state parasites…

… Argentina’s state (and deep state) is also rather extensive. And while Milei’s termination plans affest just a small fraction of Argentina’s 3.5 million public sector workers, the job cuts are bound to face tremendous pushback from the country’s powerful labor unions and could jeopardize his high approval ratings. One union representing some government workers went on strike Tuesday, while a government report detailed that private sector workers suffered the worst one-month wage loss in at least three decades once he took office in December.

The leader of the state workers union ATE quickly shot back on X, announcing a national strike without providing further details.
Milei cited polls showing Argentines are more optimistic about the economy’s future, while a recent indicator of the public confidence in the government rose despite his austerity measures.

“People have hope, they’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” Milei concluded.

Well… maybe, but maybe not, because it doesn’t take much by those used to state handouts to organize and collapse the system. And sure enough, a quick look at the country’s real GDP (as measured by the EMAE monthly activity indicator), shows a brutal 4.3% year over year contraction in January, as well as a sequential decline in real GDP of 1.2%, with Goldman noting that “activity softened significantly at the end of 2023 and the weakness extended to the beginning of the year.”

While we appreciate the novelty and excitement sparked by Milei, we wonder: just how much real pain can the people sustain before they demand that he, too, be replaced with someone who promises to ease their pain?

US ‘Backed Itself Into Corner’ by Blaming ISIS For Moscow Attack as Fires Burned: Kremlin

The U.S. created ISIS.

Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on Wednesday gave an interview to Russian state-run English language media wherein she continued to advance the Kremlin’s claims that the Ukrainian government or its Western partners likely had something to do with the the Crocus City Hall terror attack.

She described that it was strange that a Western media narrative coalesced around ISIS being behind the attack even as the mall and concert hall was still on fire and emergency crews were still responding. She said the US government has backed itself “into a corner” given that officials made bold statements too quickly in the aftermath.

“The very fact that within the first 24 hours [after the attack], even before the fire was put out, the Americans started screaming that it wasn’t Ukraine, I think, is a piece of incriminating evidence. I can’t classify it otherwise; it is evidence in and of itself,” Zakharova told Sputnik.

“The second fact to note concerns the clamor by the US that this assuredly was the work of ISIS,” Zakharova emphasized. “Of course, the speed with which they were able to [come to such forthright conclusions] is astonishing. It took them only a few hours to get to a microphone, turn on the lights, summon the press, and draw a conclusion about who is to blame for this horribly bloody terrorist attack.”

She underscored that all of this demonstrates that US officials “boxed themselves into a corner” because it allowed independent analysts to “[remind] everyone else what ISIS really is.” By that, she meant the recent history of the US/Gulf alliance in Syria having fueled the rise of ISIS:

“You are behind all those ISIS-type structures; you – the United States, Great Britain – yourselves brought them into being,” she concluded.

During the decade-long proxy war in Syria, the West backed the side that produced the Islamic State. In many instances, the US was even paying the salaries of “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) commanders who were openly cooperating and fighting alongside ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists.

Kremlin officials have strongly suggested that ISIS militants were used as proxies for the Friday attack in Moscow on behalf of the Ukrainian or possibly Western governments or intelligence agencies.

On Wednesday the official death toll from Russian authorities in the wake of the terror attack on the Moscow concert hall has reached 140 killed, after more people succumbed to their wounds in the hospital.

In the days following the Crocus City Hall attack, Russian state media has been featuring stories on the ‘rise of ISIS’ and the West-sponsored jihad in Syria:

The US – Godfather Of ISIS?

While Washington firmly pins blame for the Crocus City Hall attack on ISIS, apparently shielding Ukraine from accusations, RT reveals how Islamic State’s targets over the last few years have raised some interesting questions… pic.twitter.com/aNmIWVy1HH

President Vladimir Putin in addressing the terror attack over the weekend vowed to hunt down and punish all perpetrators while also charging that Ukraine prepared a “window” to help the terrorists escape. Since then several more arrests of alleged collaborators and plotter have been made. As for the culprits possibly receiving assistance from Ukraine or Western governments, there’s as yet been no clear evidence presented that demonstrates a connection.

No ‘Unfriendly Nations’ For Russia, Only ‘Unfriendly Elites’ – Putin

No ‘Unfriendly Nations’ For Russia, Only ‘Unfriendly Elites’ – Putin

Unlike the West, Moscow will never “cancel” any foreign culture.

Russia has no intention of cancelling any country’s culture, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday during a working trip to Tver Region. Moscow understands the difference between the people and the elites and respects every nation’s culture, and also considers its own to be part of the world’s heritage, he added.

The president was talking to regional artists when the issue of attempts to “cancel”Russian culture by some Western nations was raised. According to Putin, Moscow has no plans to respond in kind.

“We do not have any unfriendly nations, we have unfriendly elites in those nations,” the president said, adding that the Russian government “has never tried to cancel” any foreign artists or cultural performances. “On the contrary, we believe the Russian culture to be a part of the global one and we take pride [in this fact].”

The Russian authorities seek to take the global cultural context into account and “exclude nothing,” he continued. Those seeking to abolish the culture of a nation inhabited by some 190 million people are “not wise,” the president said, referring to the Western actions during the Ukraine conflict.

Western nations have repeatedly sought to ban performances by Russian artists and musicians, as well as those deemed supportive of Moscow. Most recently, renowned Italian singer Enzo Ghinazzi, best known as Pupo, had an upcoming performance in Lithuania cancelled over a concert he gave at the Kremlin in March.

Pupo arrived in Russia to “convey the message that peace will return to the world,” he told TASS at the time. He also argued against an “embargo of any people’s culture,” calling such a stance “wrong.” The Lithuanian venue set to host his performance subsequently announced that it was being cancelled, calling it “good news” for those opposed to Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine.

Earlier the same month, South Korea canceled a series of performances by Svetlana Zakharova, a renowned ballerina from Russia’s Bolshoi Theatre, after Ukraine expressed anger over the planned events.

Many Western cultural institutions have sought to completely remove Russia-linked works from their galleries and theaters ever since the conflict between Russia and Ukraine broke out in February 2022.

The Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra in Wales dropped the music of composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky from a concert, Britain’s Royal Opera House canceled a tour by the Bolshoi Ballet, and New York’s Carnegie Hall and Metropolitan Opera have stopped allowing most Russian musicians and organizations to perform.

The campaign has reached such a fever pitch that it has drawn criticism from some Western leaders. In April 2023, Italian President Sergio Mattarella branded it a “mistaken gesture.” In August of the same year, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz argued against such moves by calling Russian culture a part of “our common European history.”
