Survey: 47% of Voters Believe the Republic Created by the Founding Fathers Has Already Fallen
A new Rasmussen Reports survey reveals that nearly half of American voters believe the republic established by the Founding Fathers has come to an end.
The survey, conducted among 1,087 voters, found that 47 percent of respondents agreed with the statement: “The republic the Founders created has already fallen.” Conversely, 39 percent of respondents believe Americans are doing a “good job” of maintaining the nearly 250-year-old government structure of the United States, while the remaining 14 percent were unsure about the state of the republic.
The belief that the republic “has already fallen” is more prevalent among women, with 53 percent agreeing, compared to 43 percent of men. Racial disparities were also evident, as 48 percent of Black voters and 50 percent of Hispanic voters believe the republic has collapsed, compared with 46 percent of White voters.

A stark partisan divide has also emerged from the survey data as over half of Republican voters believe the republic has collapsed, compared to just over a third of Democrats.
This finding adds a layer of complexity to the dismal outlook for historians who revere the ideas of Founding Fathers like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson. These late 18th-century revolutionaries not only led the American War of Independence against the United Kingdom but also crafted the modern ideas in the Declaration of Independence and fashioned the republican government structure outlined in the Constitution of the United States.
Moreover, the survey also asked the respondents whether America’s current leaders have “authority from the consent of the governed,” a pivotal phrase from the Declaration of Independence. As it turned out, a substantial 57 percent of voters believe the federal governmentno longer operates with public consent, while 26 percent believe the “consent of the governed” remains intact, and 17 percent were unsure.
The sentiment transcends gender lines, with 60 percent of men and 53 percent of women agreeing with the statement. This skepticism is particularly pronounced among middle-aged and older voters, as 61 percent of those over 40 expressed similar doubts.
Survey comes amid highly divisive election year
This survey comes amid a highly divisive election year where Democratic President Joe Biden faces off against his Republican predecessor, Donald Trump. Both campaigns are framing the election as a critical juncture for the nation’s future, warning of catastrophic consequences should their opponent prevail.
Trump said the multiple criminal cases against him are politically motivated. He argued that his defeat in the upcoming 2024 presidential election would signify the end of democracy. ‘”If we don’t win this election, I don’t think you’re going to have another election in this country,” Trump said during his rally in Ohio.
Meanwhile, Biden countered that a Trump victory would spell the end of the principle of one person, one vote. He cited Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election results and the violent MAGA assault on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
“I’m running because democracy is at stake,” Biden said. “Let there be no question, Donald Trump and his MAGA Republicans are determined to destroy American democracy.”
Aside from warnings from both parties, economic hardships, driven by persistent inflation and the Biden administration’s inaction on the southern border crisis, have amplified frustrations. In other words, the survey indicates that millions of Americans are taking these warnings to heart, with a significant portion believing the republic has already unraveled.

NATO ‘Preparing for War’ With Russia – Orban
Hungary is reevaluating its role in NATO, as it has no intention to take part in actions that could involve member states in the Ukraine conflict and lead to a direct clash with Russia, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Friday.
Speaking on local Kossuth Radio, Orban stated that his country has already been relegated to the role of a non-participant within the US-led military bloc due to its stance on Ukraine, and Budapest is now working on legal ways to retain its membership but reserve the right to abstain from joining NATO operations it disagrees with.
“Hungary’s position must be redefined, our lawyers and officials are working on ways to allow Hungary to continue to exist as a NATO member without participating in NATO activities outside the bloc’s territory. We need to create a new approach, a new definition for our position as a pro-peace force within NATO,” Orban said.
According to the prime minister, there are “alarming similarities” between the emotionally charged media publications and statements by Western politicians regarding the Ukraine conflict and the atmosphere preceding the First and Second World Wars.

“What is happening today in Brussels and Washington… looks like warming up for a possible direct military conflict. We can safely call it the preparation of Europe’s entry into the war,” Orban said, adding that there are working groups within NATO that are assessing the best ways for the bloc to further boost its participation in the conflict.
He warned that the end result of these actions could be a direct conflict between the EU, NATO, and Russia – a “grim prospect,” as the conflict would involve nuclear powers.
Someone tell me why instead of isolating this conflict – because it is a war between two Slavic peoples, despite all the arguments on the side of Ukraine – we choose to jump into this war?
Orban noted that the bloc was created with the purpose of defending member states against aggressors, not waging wars outside its territory. Commenting on Western claims that Russia could attack Europe if it defeats Ukraine, Orban said the chances of this happening are extremely slim, and these warnings only serve as an excuse to become directly involved in the Ukraine conflict.

Hungary has opposed NATO funding and arming of Ukraine from the outset of the conflict in February 2022. The country has not sent any weapons to Kiev, and has not allowed its territory to be used for their delivery, despite pressure from both Brussels and Washington. Budapest has called for a ceasefire and a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
Russian Officials Designate Zelensky a War Criminal and Legitimate Military Target
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has declared that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is a legitimate military target as the leader of a “hostile political regime.”
Speaking to Russian state media outlet TASS, Medvedev, current head of the Security Council of Russia, dismissed the importance of Zelensky’s legitimacy as president to Moscow.
“For Russia, the final loss of legitimacy by the pseudo-president of the former Ukraine will not change anything,” said Medvedev, adding that leaders of warring countries are “always considered” legitimate military targets.
Medvedev labeled Zelensky a “war criminal” who should be captured and brought to justice or “liquidated as a terrorist” for his actions against Russians and Ukrainians. Zelensky was placed on the Russian Interior Ministry’s wanted list earlier this month, though no criminal proceedings details have been disclosed.
Zelensky’s presidential term officially ended on May 20, with elections originally set for March postponed due to martial law, which has been extended multiple times since the conflict with Russia began in February 2022. In December 2023, Zelensky announced that no elections would occur while martial law was in effect. In early May, Ukrainian lawmakers extended martial law for another three months.

Medvedev accused Zelensky of “effectively seizing power” after elections were annulled, claiming Zelensky ignored the Ukrainian constitution and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by usurping supreme power from the government.
He also criticized Zelensky for using a vague declaration from the Verkhovna Rada – the Ukrainian parliament – to justify the abolition of presidential elections during wartime.
Zelensky claims he has to continue serving as president
In a May 20 interview with Reuters, Zelensky explained that he must continue serving as president due to martial law.
“My five-year term is not over yet,” Zelensky stated. “It is continuing due to martial law.”
Without the imposition of martial law, the next presidential election would have been scheduled for March 31, 2024, with Zelensky’s term concluding on May 20. However, martial law was declared after Russia’s full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. Zelensky remarked that “it is difficult to assess my activities during these five years” and added that evaluating his term “would not be that ethical now.”
Despite facing criticism, Zelensky expressed pride in leading a nation that has bravely confronted hazards and risks.
Some critics argue that the Constitution does not permit extending his presidential term under martial law, claiming his legitimacy ended on May 20. However, leading constitutional lawyers dispute this, asserting that the Constitution allows for such an extension.
“They [Ukrainians] were fighting for what was close to their hearts. But it is not over, and this is not the end of the story. I believe we need to be moving forward together till the end, the victorious end,” Zelensky said.
In a March interview with Italian media outlet Rai 1, Zelensky emphasized the necessity of postponing the presidential elections, noting that conducting elections under martial law requires legislative changes. He also highlighted the need to ensure voting conditions for seven million Ukrainians abroad and soldiers on the front line.
In May, Zelensky signed a law extending martial law and general mobilization from May 14 to August 11.

Pedo Funnel: Massachusetts Government Placed Immigrant Children in Hotels With Registered Sex Offenders
There are at least five hotels in Massachusetts where sex offenders are either employed or housed, and those same hotels are being packed with illegal alien children by Gov. Maura Healey’s Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC).
According to a Boston Globe report, the sex offenders were convicted of things like indecent assault and battery on children, child rape and child pornography, among other heinous sex crimes.
The EOHLC’s Kevin Conner released a statement claiming that caring for “the safety and wellbeing of the 7,500 families in Emergency Assistance shelter is a priority for our administration.”
“We will continue to take all possible steps to ensure the safety of EA residents and carefully review any situation that comes before us to act quickly to protect families,” Connor added.
According to Connor, his agency checks the database every six months to verify which “shelters” have workers or residents on the Sex Offender Registry Board. Despite this, horrors are still taking place at many of the facilities in question.

Politicians in cahoots with sex trafficking
In one particularly disturbing incident, a 26-year-old man raped a 15-year-old Haitian girl. Following the incident, Gov. Healey released a bizarre statement claiming that “everybody, including him, who enters our shelter locations is vetted.”
Apparently that vetting is not working so well, though, because children continue to get exploited and taken advantage of by adult perverts who are slipping through the cracks.
“This shouldn’t be happening,” said Carline Desire, executive director of the Association of Haitian Women. “They need to get those sex offenders out.”
The Globe report found that never once were families living at these shelters informed that they were living with convicted sex offenders. It appears as though the powers that be intentionally kept it all a secret.
One resident who has daughters living with him at one of the shelters told the media that he was never informed about any of the deviants living at his location.
“These posters of sex offenders are hanging out at the police station,” he commented. “They should be here. There are a lot of kids here.”
Keep in mind that these types of facilities exist, supposedly, to protect families and children from sexual assault. It turns out the fox has been hiding in the henhouse all along with the government’s blessing.
Last summer, Healey declared a state of emergency in Massachusetts due to state shelters being overfilled with people. There are now overflow sites being set up at other hotels, churches and dormitories across the state.
Citing privacy concerns, the state of Massachusetts is withholding many of the addresses of private shelters. Collectively, all the shelters house about 7,500 families, roughly 50 percent of whom are migrants seeking asylum.
The sex offenders identified by the Globe hail from Rockland, Saugus, Revere, Kingston and Northborough.
One of the offenders from Revere pleaded guilty to arranging to meet with a 12-year-old boy for indecent acts at one of the “shelter” hotels. This individual was supposedly removed from his position of employment at the facility.
In another instance, a man who was staying at the Baymont Hotel in Kingston was convicted of repeatedly assaulting a girl under the age of 14.
“A man convicted of a child rape in Houston in 1990 was present at the Northborough Econo Lodge,” the Globe further reported.
“A Level 3 sex offender convicted of indecent assault and batter of a child under 14 and rape and abuse of a child was living in at the Colonial Traveler Inn in Saugus.”
