Israel Seizes Equipment From the Associated Press in Latest Assault on Free Speech and the Press
The Associated Press (AP) is no longer allowed in Israel after the Zionist state raided the media outlet’s facility in the southern town of Sderot.
Located just two kilometers from Gaza, the APfacility and those who worked inside it were deemed to be in violation of a new media law decreed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that prohibits news outlets from talking about the situation in Gaza outside the approved script.
(Related: Earlier this year, Netanyahu banned Al Jazeera from Israel for reporting truth about his genocide in Gaza. And since the AP was allowing its live broadcast to be re-transmitted by Al Jazeera, Israeli law enforcement took action.)
According to reports, Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi signed a document that was handed to the AP stating that the media outlet is in violation of Israel’s controversial foreign broadcaster law. The AP‘s live feed was then forcibly cut and its equipment confiscated by Israeli authorities.
The AP also reported that it previously received a verbal order from Israel to cease all further live transmissions. Because the AP refused to follow the order, its offices were raided and ransacked.
Why can’t Israel stop lying and censoring?
Israel’s claim is the Al Jazeera, a media outlet based in Qatar, engaged in “incitement” of terrorism for the way it has been reporting the Israel-Gaza conflict. Al Jazeera‘s offices were forcibly closed on May 5 and all associated websites are now blocked in Israel.
In a statement, Karhi indicated that this is only the beginning, should other media outlets refuse to obey Netanyahu’s decree. The Israeli government, he said, will “continue to take whatever enforcement action is required to limit broadcasts that harm the security of the state.”
Strangely enough, most of what the AP was broadcasting from Sderot was just smoke and explosions rising over northern Gaza. Israel says this live feed was putting its Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers at risk, which is why it had to be censored.
“The shutdown was not based on the content of the feed but rather an abusive use by the Israeli government of the country’s new foreign broadcaster law,” said Lauren Easton, the AP‘s vice president of corporate communications about Israel’s lies.
“We urge the Israeli authorities to return our equipment and enable us to reinstate our live feed immediately so we can continue to provide this important visual journalism to thousands of media outlets around the world,” she added.
In the comments over at RT, numerous people noticed that Israel’s censorship and intimidation playbook is nothing new throughout history.
“Israel shuts down The Associated Press news agency for fear of the truth of genocide being revealed,” one of them said.
“The last thing they want is for the truth to come out, but the cat’s already out of the bag,” said another.
“I’m surprised they didn’t just blast them with rockets and bombs like they usually do,” wrote someone else about Israel and the way it tends to handle conflicts.
“They are worse than the Nazis,” said another. “First thing you do to hide your crimes is shut down the free press. Then you start propaganda and sell it as fact. Everyone knows this – who are they kidding?’
Keep in mind that not all Jewish people support what Israel is doing. And when we say “Israel,” we are referring to the government, which does not represent many of the people who live in Israel and simply want peace.
“They are very good at seizing things that don’t belong to them,” wrote another commenter about Israel.

24 Republican Governors Tell Biden They Will Resist ‘Unconstitutional’ WHO Pandemic Treaty
(LifeSiteNews) — Almost half the governors in the U.S., all of them Republicans, have signed a letter to President Joe Biden declaring that they will resist any efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) to control public policy in America through its proposed “Pandemic Agreement” and amended International Health Regulations (IHRs).
The 24 governors declared their united opposition to the pending treaty and IHRs because the agreements “would undermine national sovereignty, infringe upon states’ rights, and jeopardize constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.” The Biden administration reportedly plans to bypass the legal requirement that the U.S. Senate agree to a treaty with a two-thirds vote.
The GOP state leaders said that the aim of these agreements is to allow the WHO to “restrict the rights of U.S. citizens, including freedoms such as speech, privacy, travel, choice of medical care, and informed consent, thus violating our Constitution’s core principles.”
The governors asserted that the agreements would “seek to elevate the WHO” from a merely advisory – if already massively influential – body, “to a global authority in public health” able to “compe[l] citizens to comply with WHO directives,” potentially including medical intervention mandates. They noted that the WHO would furthermore be able to unilaterally “declare a ‘public health emergency of international concern’ (PHEIC) in member nations, extending beyond pandemics to include a range of perceived emergencies.”

Echoing the concerns of other public figures around the world, they stressed that this would altogether undermine the sovereignty of WHO member nations. Other dangers of the agreements include “global surveillance infrastructure and requirements for member states to censor speech related to public health,” according to the governors.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, and the others noted that the pandemic treaty and the IHRs would give the WHO “unprecedented and unconstitutional powers over the United States and its people” and “could drastically change the role of governors in response to their charge as the state health officials.”
“As governors, we affirm that public health policy is a matter reserved for the states, not the federal government, and certainly not international bodies like the WHO. We are committed to resisting any attempts to transfer authority to the WHO over public policy affecting our citizens or any efforts by the WHO to assert such authority over them,” the governors concluded.
A growing number of public figures as well as U.S. states and elected officials have raised the alarm about the so-called Pandemic Agreement in recent months.
Earlier this month, Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin rallied every Republican in the U.S. Senate to sign an open letter imploring the Biden administration to reject the pending agreements being considered at the World Health Assembly (WHA) in late May.

On Thursday, April 18, a group of GOP lawmakers and conservative activists similarly warned about the agreement at a press conference on Capitol Hill organized by the Sovereignty Coalition.
“The treaty would put us under the thumb of the UN and communist China and the WHO for whatever they wanted to declare a crisis, whether it’s poverty crisis, or a gun violence crisis or a climate crisis, or a health crisis, and make us listen to the WHO. That is not constitutional,” Rep. Bob Good of Virginia declared.
This year’s meeting of the World Health Assembly, the decision-making body of the WHO, will be held from May 27 to June 1 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The governors who signed the letter to Biden include: Governor Kay Ivey (AL), Governor Mike Dunleavy (AK), Governor Sarah Sanders (AR), Governor Ron DeSantis (FL), Governor Brian Kemp (GA), Governor Brad Little (ID), Governor Eric Holcomb (IN), Governor Kim Reynolds (IA), Governor Jeff Landry (LA), Governor Tate Reeves (MS), Governor Greg Gianforte (MT), Governor Jim Pillen (NE), Governor Joe Lombardo (NV), Governor Chris Sununu (NH), Governor Doug Burgum (ND), Governor Kevin Stitt (OK), Governor Henry McMaster (SC), Governor Kristi Noem (SD), Governor Bill Lee (TN), Governor Greg Abbott (TX), Governor Spencer Cox (UT), Governor Glenn Youngkin (VA), Governor Jim Justice (WV), and Governor Mark Gordon (WY).

Nuclear Threat: Russia’s Medvedev Warns Poland ‘It Will Get its Share of Radioactive Ash’
Former Russian President and current Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev took to social media over the weekend in response to an interview with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and warned Poland would face a nuclear attack if Poland and its allies responded to any Russian nuclear tactical attack with a massive conventional assault on Russian forces in Ukraine.
“Warsaw will not be omitted and is certain to receive its share of radioactive ash,” wrote Medvedev in response to remarks made on the likelihood of a Russian nuclear attack by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in an interview with The Guardian on May 25.
Sikorski assessed the likelihood of a Russian nuclear attack as low because of the stance taken by the U.S., and that Poland backed Ukraine’s right to strike at military targets inside Russia, arguing that the West had to stop constantly limiting itself in what it does to support Ukraine.
“The Americans have told the Russians that if you explode a nuke, even if it doesn’t kill anybody, we will hit all your targets (positions) in Ukraine with conventional weapons, we’ll destroy all of them. I think that’s a credible threat,” Sikorski argued.
“The Russians are hitting the Ukrainian electricity grid and their grain terminals and gas storage capacity, civilian infrastructure. The Russian operation is conducted from the HQ at Rostov-on-Don. Apart from not using nuclear weapons, Russia does not limit itself much,” he added.
Russia’s Medvedev responded on X by claiming that “Sikorski, apparently, has decided to scare his own masters” and challenged Sikorski’s assertions with regard to the Americans.
“First, the Yankees so far haven’t said anything exactly like that because they are more cautious than the Polacks. Second, Americans hitting our targets means starting a world war, and a foreign minister, even of a country like Poland should understand that,” he wrote using the pejorative term “Polack.”
The Polish counterpart of a weird outlandish creature called Blinken, with a much more sonorous surname Sikorski, apparently, has decided to scare his own masters.
He has stated: “The Americans have told the Russians that if you explode a nuke, even if it doesn’t kill anybody,…— Dmitry Medvedev (@MedvedevRussiaE) May 26, 2024
Medvedev also remarked on Poland’s bid to participate in the NATO nuclear sharing program.
“And third, considering that yet another Polack, Duda, has recently announced the wish to deploy TNW in Poland, Warsaw won’t be left out, and will surely get its share of radioactive ash. Is it what you really want?” he asked, adding condescendingly, “The Polish are resentful; have been like that for over 400 years…”

Alabama Eliminates Income Taxes on Capital Gains From Sale of Gold and Silver
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has signed a bill that eliminates income taxes on capital gains from the sale of gold and silver, marking a significant advancement in reinforcing sound money principles within the state.
Senate Bill 297 allows Alabama to exempt capital gains taxes on the sale of gold and silver in a bid to prioritize the earnings of citizens and to protect them from the harmful effects of inflation, currency debasement and increasing federal debt.
Under the new law, any profits or losses from the sale of precious metals, as reported on federal tax returns, will be excluded from the calculation of an Alabama taxpayer’s adjusted gross income. This provision effectively shields individuals from punitive taxation on transactions involving constitutionally recognized forms of currency.
The bill, championed by Sen. Tim Melson (R-Florence) and Rep. Jamie Kiel (R-Russellville) and supported by pro-precious metals organizations like the Sound Money Defense League and Money Metals Exchange, was passed by the Alabama Legislature with bipartisan support. This reflects a broad recognition of the importance of sound money principles, particularly in an era of high inflation.
Speaking before the State Senate’s Finance and Taxation Education Committee, Melson highlighted the historical significance of gold and silver as constitutionally recognized forms of currency.
“Gold and silver have served as pillars of economic stability throughout history and are even mentioned by name in the United States Constitution. By eliminating taxes on transactions involving these precious metals, we affirm our commitment to upholding the principles of sound money and protecting the savings of our constituents,” Melson stated.
It is widely acknowledged that “gains” from the sale of precious metals do not reflect genuine value appreciation but rather the ongoing depreciation of the U.S. dollar. Despite this, the Internal Revenue Service requires federal income taxes on such transactions, a stance most states also follow by default.
Jp Cortez, executive director of the Sound Money Defense League, emphasized Alabama’s proactive stance amid inflationary pressures. “Inflation erodes the purchasing power of individuals’ savings and undermines economic and social stability. Alabama’s decision to opt out of this taxation scheme makes it the 13th state in the country to end this tax, with more states expected to follow,” Cortez remarked.
More and more states exempting capital gains taxes on precious metals
Nebraska passed a similar bill earlier this year, while Arizona, Arkansas and Utah have approved comparable measures in recent years. In 2024, Iowa, Georgia, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas also considered income tax exemptions, with several states approving the bill across multiple committees and chambers. (Related: Nebraska ends capital gains taxes on gold and silver sales.)
Alabama joins Utah, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Kentucky in enacting pro-sound money legislation in 2024. Additionally, Rep. Alex Mooney (R-WV) reintroduced the Monetary Metals Tax Neutrality Act last week, aiming to eliminate the federal capital gains tax on all gold and silver coins and bullion.
With the passage of this bill, Alabama’s current ranking of 28th in the 2024 Sound Money Index is expected to improve, reflecting the state’s commitment to sound money principles.

Biden’s Move to Combat AI Abuse Stirs Surveillance and Censorship Fears
The Biden administration is pushing for sweeping measures to combat the proliferation of nonconsensual sexual AI-generated images, including controversial proposals that could lead to extensive on-device surveillance and control of the types of images generated. In a White House press release, President Joe Biden’s administration outlined demands for the tech industry and financial institutions to curb the creation and distribution of abusive sexual images made with artificial intelligence (AI).
A key focus of these measures is the use of on-device technology to prevent the sharing of nonconsensual sexual images. The administration stated that “mobile operating system developers could enable technical protections to better protect content stored on digital devices and to prevent image sharing without consent.”
This proposal implies that mobile operating systems would need to scan and analyze images directly on users’ devices to determine if they are sexual or non-consensual. The implications of such surveillance raise significant privacy concerns, as it involves monitoring and analyzing private content stored on personal devices.
Additionally, the administration is calling on mobile app stores to “commit to instituting requirements for app developers to prevent the creation of non-consensual images.” This broad mandate could require a wide range of apps, including image editing and drawing apps, to scan and monitor user activities on devices, analyze what art they’re creating and block the creation of certain kinds of content. Once this technology of on-device monitoringbecomes normalized, this level of scrutiny could extend beyond the initial intent, potentially leading to censorship of other types of content that the administration finds objectionable.
The administration’s call to action extends to various sectors, including AI developers, payment processors, financial institutions, cloud computing providers, search engines, and mobile app store gatekeepers like Apple and Google. By encouraging cooperation from these entities, the White House hopes to curb the creation, spread, and monetization of nonconsensual AI images.
The initiative builds on previous efforts, such as the voluntary commitments secured by the Biden administration from major technology companies like Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft to implement safeguards on new AI systems. Despite these measures, the administration acknowledges the need for legislative action to enforce these safeguards comprehensively.
The administration’s proposals raise significant questions about privacy and the potential for mission creep. The call for on-device surveillance to detect and prevent the sharing of non-consensual sexual images means that personal photos and content would be subject to continuous monitoring and analysis. Through Photoshop and other tools, people have been able to generate images on their devices for decades but the recent evolution of AI is being used to now call for surveillance of the content people create.
This could set a precedent for more extensive and intrusive forms of digital content scanning, leading to broader applications beyond the original intent.

New Brunswick Premier Bans ‘Sex-Ed’ Group From Schools After Presentation on Porn, Immoral Sex Acts
(LifeSiteNews) — Once again, New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs is showing Canadian politicians how to effectively advocate for common sense socially conservative policies. On May 24, he tweeted out a photograph of a slide from a sex education presentation given in a New Brunswick school. The slide featured red lips closing on a lollipop, the title “Thirsty For The Talk,” and the questions: “Is it normal to watch porn like people watch TV series?”; “Do girls masturbate?” and: “Is it good or bad to do anal?”
Premier Higgs posted his response:
A number of concerned parents have shared with me photos and screenshots of clearly inappropriate material that was presented recently in at least four New Brunswick high schools.
To say I am furious would be a gross understatement.
This presentation was not part of the New Brunswick curriculum and the content was not flagged for parents in advance. My office has been told by Department of Education officials that this was supposed to be a presentation on HPV.
However, the group shared materials well beyond the scope of an HPV presentation. The fact that this was shared shows either improper vetting was done, the group misrepresented the content they would share … or both.
This group will not be allowed to present again at New Brunswick schools, effective immediately.
Our government will have further discussions about whether additional rules about third-party presentations need to be updated.
Children should be protected, and parents should be respected.
I want parents to know that we are with you. We will continue to make decisions based on the principle that parents need to be aware of what is happening at schools, so they can make informed parenting decisions.
Do you think we need stronger rules about third-party presentations in our schools? I want to hear directly from you. Take our survey by clicking here:
Presentations like this – and indeed, presentations containing far more graphic material – are common in Canadian public schools. Plenty of schools actually feature in-house content that is substantially worse than this. But every time a debate about explicit, how-to sexual content in schools erupts, progressive activists and politicians dodge the issue by retreating to vagueness. Instead of defending the idea of an activist group like Planned Parenthood coming in to talk to students about why anal sex is just fine, they insist that this content is essential for “inclusion” and “tolerance” while scrupulously avoiding the specifics. Inevitably, most of the press coverage of the debate fails to include the specifics of what actually upset parents in the first place, and instead presents objectors as opposed to common sense progressive educational policies.
When the explicit content in question is described, however, progressives are denied the opportunity to defend their policy of encouraging and introducing fringe sex acts to children in vague, friendly, liberal-sounding buzzwords. Last year, for example, Planned Parenthood got caught handing out graphic “ABC” sex cards to students as young as 14 that explained, for example, how they could engage in “yellow and brown showers” (urinating and defecating on their partners). Plenty of other dangerous and immoral sex acts are encouraged, with Planned Parenthood’s presentation stating that each sexual urge must be “affirmed” – the amorality, in short, was up front.
But when the sex cards were covered in a handful of press outlets, parents were outraged the Saskatchewan government got involved. Planned Parenthood is now banned from presenting in Saskatchewan schools (although it was never explained why they were invited to do so in the first place). Planned Parenthood was reportedly confused by this decision, as they didn’t see the problem with the content they had distributed – but the only reason they were denied access to Canadian kids is because the graphic sexual information they were distributing was exposed publicly.
Premier Blaine Higgs appears to have realized that to implement common sense policies, exposing what is actually being taught in public schools is the only way forward. Progressives cannot be allowed to hide behind buzzwords like “toleration” and “inclusion.” Politicians and activists – including the prime minister – who wish to defend this content should be made to defend specifics, and the only way to force them to do that is to show the public what the kids are being taught in schools.
