UK Grocery Chain to Sell Edible Insects as Affordable Protein Source Amid Cost-of-Living Crisis

And woke Aldi issues “gender transition guides” to staff.

Discount supermarket chain Aldi is considering selling edible insect recipe kits to help consumers meet the daily protein needs of families amid soaring food prices. As bugs such as crickets are known to be a cheap and sustainable form of protein, the budget grocery is thinking of stocking products by Yum Bug, which manufactures insect recipe kits.

Aaron Thomas and Leo Taylor, the founders of the company who have just established their bug restaurant, were incidentally picked from hundreds of applicants to appear on Channel 4’s “Aldi’s Next Big Thing” in 2022.

Thomas, from Islington, London, said: “We’re on a mission to change perceptions of insects as food; they’re one of the most sustainable protein sources in the world.” He added that crickets are up to 70 percent protein, which is three times the amount of protein found in beef. The start-up entrepreneur also stated that crickets got more iron than spinach, more calcium than milk and three times more fatty acids than omega-3 in salmon. Some reports even call the creepy crawlies “superfood.”

“They are an incredible superfood. We want to take bug consumption mainstream. If we’re able to get in front of Aldi’s audience, that would be an amazing opportunity,” he further explained.

Meanwhile, Taylor said how long they have been eating bugs. “Aaron and I have been cooking with insects for years. It started in 2017 with weekends experimenting out of my parent’s garage, cooking up all sorts of recipes and posting content online,” he recounted. “We then sold our first insect recipe boxes out of our bedrooms in lockdown, and that’s really where everything snowballed.”

On X, formerly Twitter, Wide Awake Media posted about Aldi’s plan to sell insects for dietary protein requirements. It said: “I’m sure Bill Gates is over the moon because that’s been the plan all along. Are you willing to eat insects to save the planet?” Gates has been advancing the replacement of cattle beef with lab-gown of fake meat or insects for protein.

Last year, a company backed by Gates received approval from the United States Department of Agriculture approval, marking a significant milestone for the lab-grown meat industry. This approval was a signal of federal support for the sector, which is expected to play a role in meeting the increasing protein demands of a growing global population.

More recently, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos joined Gates in supporting the industry, underscoring the potential that high-profile investors see in this alternative protein source. Their involvement highlights the industry’s promise to address environmental concerns associated with traditional meat production, as noted in a report on the rise of 3D-printed steaks and their relevance to environmental, social and governance-focused investors.

Woke Aldi issues “gender transition guides” to staff

Before it advocated eating bugs, the grocery that claims to cater to budget-conscious consumers has long been advancing globalism and woke ideologies.

Aldi published a series of internal guidelines in 2022 on how to support co-workers who are transitioning, as part of its “Embrace” Diversity and Inclusion strategy, which aims to create a more inclusive workplace.

Aldi United Kingdom Diversity and Inclusion Director Richard Shuttleworth said, “We want to ensure that Aldi is a diverse, inclusive and supportive place to work for everyone.”

Shuttleworth added, after publishing the guides in 2022: “We believe colleagues should feel confident to bring their truest selves to work and hope the launch of these guides will help anyone who has transitioned, is going through a transition or considering it, to feel safe and supported in doing just that.”

The guides offer advice to managers on how to deal with transitioning staff and share tips with co-workers on how to help their colleagues easily return to the work fold.

They were created with the input of workers. Kimberly Taylor, a store assistant, said: “I’ve worked at Aldi for over three years and during that time have started to transition. Throughout this experience my team has been so supportive of me, helping me to feel confident and accepted every step of the way.” She said that the guides show that Aldi is committed to the wellbeing of its transgender staff.

Russia Could Consider Changing Nuclear Doctrine

Actions of the US and its allies could prompt Russia to amend its nuclear posture, Deputy FM Sergey Ryabkov said.

Russia could potentially make changes to its nuclear doctrine should the “escalatory actions” by the US and its allies push it into doing so, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has warned.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a BRICS ministerial meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, Ryabkov admitted the international situation has been getting increasingly “complicated” and changes to his country’s nuclear posture could not be ruled out.

“The challenges that are growing thanks to the unacceptable and escalatory actions of the US and its NATO allies undoubtedly prompt a full-fledged question of how the basic documents in nuclear deterrence can be brought more into line with current needs,” Ryabkov said.

The diplomat refused to elaborate on the exact nature of the potential amendments, explaining that Moscow does not have a “practice of covering in advance what kind of changes can be made” before actual decisions are taken.

The remarks come shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin again reiterated Moscow’s stance on nuclear weapons as a last-resort option. Speaking during a question-and-answer panel at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) last week, the president stressed that Russia has never been the first to resort to aggressive nuclear rhetoric.

The nation’s current nuclear doctrine allows the use of atomic weapons only in “exceptional cases” and the current situation does not actually qualify as such, Putin explained. The president expressed hopes an all-out nuclear war will not break out, adding that such a conflict would result in “infinite casualties” for everyone.

The president also cautioned European NATO nations against increasingly belligerent rhetoric and actions, suggesting they are bound to suffer the most in case of a global nuclear conflict, arguing that the US will not actually help them.

“The Europeans have to think: if those with whom we exchange such [nuclear] blows are obliterated, would the Americans get involved in such an exchange, on the level of strategic weapons, or not? I very much doubt it,” Putin stated.

Hundreds of illegal migrants were returned to Caribbean islands this week after being intercepted at sea by U.S. authorities.

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) announced the repatriation of 305 boat migrants to Haiti and the Bahamas following multiple maritime busts over the past week.

On Sunday, a vessel carrying 109 migrants of unspecified nationalities was interdicted by two USCG cutters near Anguilla Cay in the Bahamas.

The passengers were disembarked and later transferred to the custody of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.

On Monday, a USCG crew returned 196 migrants to Haiti following two interceptions that took place on June 5 and 6 in waters near the troubled island nation.

Justice Department Charges Whistleblower who Exposed Illegal Gender Surgeries at Texas Hospital

Justice Department Charges Whistleblower who Exposed Illegal Gender Surgeries at Texas Hospital

Haim’s charges all stem from alleged alleged HIPAA violations.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has charged a whistleblower who exposed gender-related surgical mutilation happening at a Texas hospital.

Surgeon Dr. Eithan Haim was indicted on four felony charges over alleged violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Last year, he had alerted several media outlets – including the City Journal magazine – that the transgender medicine program of Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) in Houston included minor children among its patients. The ensuing controversy led the Texas Legislature to ban transgender medical procedures from being conducted on minors altogether.

While Haim’s brave actions exposed his employer’s dangerous and ethically dubious transgender medical practices, they have also drawn unwanted attention from an unlikely source. Federal attorneys in the Biden administration’s DOJ have now swooped in on the surgeon, launching legal action against him.

(Related: New Hampshire expected to BAN transgender surgeries for minors.)

In June of last year, federal agents showed up outside of Haim’s home. The agents informed him at the time that he was being investigated as a suspect in the leaks regarding transgender medicine practice at TCH. It coincided on the same day Haim was to graduate from his hospital’s residency program.

Almost a year later, the DOJ decided to proceed with its prosecution of Haim, overseen by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tina Ansari still oversees. The surgeon recounted that U.S. marshals arrived outside his home with a court summons.

“Had three heavily-armed agents at my door … to inform me I was indicted with four felonies … for blowing the whistle about the largest children’s hospital in the world lying to the public about their transgender program,” Haim wrote on X.

“They wanted to intimidate me into silence using every technique the federal leviathan had at their disposal, but they failed. The only way to lose is to submit to corruption. It’s time to fight back harder than ever.”

Haim’s charges all stem from alleged alleged HIPAA violations

According to the National Pulse, all four of the charges the DOJ filed against Haim stem from alleged HIPAA violations. The outlet added that he would appear in court on June 10.

Haim’s attorney Marcella Burke insists that her client went to great lengths to comply with HIPAA standards, even in his leaks to the media. The surgeon reportedly redacted any patient identifying information from the documents he provided to reporters. Even the City Journal‘s Christopher Rufo, who received documents from Haim, attested to this.

“I can confirm that nothing in the information provided to me identified any individual,” Rufo said. “All the documents were, in fact, carefully redacted.”

In contrast, the Dallas Express mentioned that Haim’s legal team were reportedly not given precise details from the DOJ about the felony charges. The outlet sent requests for comment to the Justice Department and Ansari’s office, but received no reply as of press time.

“My client is anxious to get to trial to get his side of the story told,” said Burke. “I am confident this will result in the correct decision being made.”

The Pulse ultimately pointed out that “the case appears to be less about HIPAA and more about silencing medical whistleblowers who would expose child sex-change practices at hospitals across the United States.”

Google API Leaks Reveal Search Giant Rigs Results for Covid, Election to Favor Hand-Picked Narratives

Google’s search team is said to have recognized a need in the company’s early years for full clickstream data on a large number of web users, all to improve the company’s search engine result quality. Clickstream data, by the way, means a log of every URL visited by a browser.

Someone leaked Google’s secret API code this past week, revealing the extent to which the search engine giant is willing to go to censor the truth and rig elections.

The secret ranking factors, of which there are about 14,000, provide deep insight into Google’s search operations, which up until now have been hidden. Some longtime speculation and assumptions about the API are already being challenged as the leak exposes the ugly truth about Google’s censorship schematics.

A May 5 email from someone claiming to have access to a significant and verified leak of Google’s API documentation wrote that former company employees verified the code as authentic, even though much of it directly conflicts with public statements made by Google employees over the years.

For a considerable while, Google denied employing what Great Game India describes as “click-centric user signals,” which the leaked API suggests is happening. Google also denies:

– Considering subdomains separately in rankings

– Creating a “sandbox” for newer websites

– Collecting and considering a domain’s age

When Google publicly denied all this, natural skepticism arose. Now, we have the API leak to verify what many said for years was a spate of lies and deception from the world’s most recognized search engine.

(Related: Nikki Haley’s chances of being a vice presidential pick for Donald Trump are nearing zeroafter she was caught writing the words “Finish them!” on Israeli artillery shells during a Memorial Day visit to Israel.)

Chrome is spying on you

The source that gained access to the leaked API issued a series of claims, some of which appear extraordinary. We will unpack some of them for you here for your consideration.

First off, Google’s search team is said to have recognized a need in the company’s early years for full clickstream data on a large number of web users, all to improve the company’s search engine result quality. Clickstream data, by the way, means a log of every URL visited by a browser.

To accommodate this, Google utilized a system called NavBoost, as confirmed by Pandu Nayak, Google’s vice president of Search, that gathered data from Google’s Toolbar PageRank. When this was not enough, Google eventually unveiled a spy browser called Chrome in 2008.

“NavBoost uses the number of searches for a given keyword to identify trending search demand, the number of clicks on a search result … and long clicks versus short clicks,” reported Great Game India.

If you use Chrome, Google is also spying on your cookie history and logged-in Chrome data, as well as using pattern detection, also known as “unsquashed” clicks versus “squashed” clicks in the API data, to fight manual and automated click spam.

“NavBoost also scores queries for user intent. For example, certain thresholds of attention and clicks on videos or images will trigger video or image features for that query and related, NavBoost-associated queries.”

Not only does Google examine users’ clicks and engagement on searches before the main query but also after, this referred to in the API as a “NavBoost query.”

“For instance, if many users search for ‘Rand Fishkin,’ don’t find SparkToro, and immediately change their query to ‘SparkToro’ and click SparkToro.com in the search result, SparkToro.com (and websites mentioning ‘SparkToro’) will receive a boost in the search results for the ‘Rand Fishkin’ keyword,” Great Game India explained.

“NavBoost’s data is used at the host level for evaluating a site’s overall quality (my anonymous source speculated that this could be what Google and SEOs called ‘Panda’). This evaluation can result in a boost or a demotion.”

New Hampshire Teacher Fired After Calling in Sick to Take Student for Abortion, Report Reveals

Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut released a report on a teacher fired for calling in sick to take a student to her abortion appointment after first mentioning the incident in response to critics.

(LifeSiteNews) – A public school teacher in New Hampshire was recently fired for allegedly using sick leave to take a student for an abortion without parental consent, New Hampshire Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut recently revealed.

The NH Journal reported that details of the incident came as part of a New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) investigative report that Edelblut released after first referencing it in an April op-ed responding to criticism he had received from New Hampshire Public Radio for his alleged “culture war” focus.

“How should the Department respond when educators have reached out to express concern about diversity, equity and inclusion trainings that they are required to attend, believing they may be discriminatory?” he asked at the time. “Or when educators have reached out believing that it was inappropriate for school counselors to encourage students to transition their gender without involving a parent? Or when a student teacher reports that their mentor teacher is drinking on the job and other educators turn a blind eye to the behavior? Or when, allegedly, an educator lies by calling in sick so they can take a student – without parental knowledge – to get an abortion. Should we turn a blind eye?”

That last example prompted speculation as to its veracity, which NHDOE resolved by releasing a 43-page collection of documents confirming his examples, including that an unnamed teacher at an unidentified school called in sick with food poisoning that was later determined to be a cover story for escorting an anonymous pregnant student to an abortion appointment that the teacher also helped arrange.

Edelblut declined to comment on the report,” the Journal added. “The details are scant, and no one in authority would speak to NH Journal on the record about the incident.” The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office declined to comment on whether any criminal prosecution was in the works.

“I am horrified to hear that a teacher in our New Hampshire schools felt the right way to help a pregnant student who felt unsupported in her pregnancy was to research abortion facilities and call out sick to take a student to an abortion rather than to help her speak with her parents and find support from her family,” Republican state Rep. Erica Layon responded. “By taking the rightful place of that student’s parents, this teacher denied her family the opportunity to step up and support her. Undermining families should not be taken lightly, and assuming the worst of parents is a dangerous precedent.”

Though commonly opposed by the abortion industry and its activist allies, parental involvement rules for underage abortions stop the practice from being used by sexual abusers to cover up and continue their crimes, as is often the case — sometimes with the knowledge and cooperation of Planned Parenthood staffers, as established by undercover investigations by the pro-life group Live Action.

Abortion is currently legal up to 24 weeks in New Hampshire. Abortion advocates made two attempts to put a constitutional amendment further insulating the “right” to abortion on the November ballot, but both failed to clear the state legislature in February.
