‘Definition of Corruption’: AG Merrick Garland Calling GOP Lawmakers to Persuade Them Not to Vote for ‘Inherent Contempt’
GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (Fla.) said last week that she will introduce an inherent contempt vote to the House floor after the DOJ declined to prosecute Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Inherent contempt proceedings compel the House or Senate’s Sergeant-At-Arms, or deputy, to take a person into custody for proceedings to be held in Congress.
The House voted to hold Garland in contempt earlier this month for defying a subpoena ordering him to turn over audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.
But the DOJ declined move forward with prosecuting Garland, claiming his refusal to turn over the audio “did not constitute a crime.”
Now Garland has been calling “moderate” Republican lawmakers urging them to vote against inherent contempt, according to Fox News’ Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram.
“Fox is told that Garland has reached out to moderate Republicans, pushing them to reject inherent contempt,” Pergram wrote Friday on X.
2) The last time Congress used its inherent contempt powers, it held a Commerce Department official who refused to cooperate at the Willard Hotel in Washington for ten days in 1934.

“Fox is told that Democrats would likely move to table or kill the resolution to hold Garland in ‘inherent contempt.’ Thus, the vote is one step removed from an actual up/down vote on inherent contempt. If the House moves to the table, the issue is dead. However, if the House rejects tabling the measure, it proceeds to hold a vote on actual inherent contempt.”
Luna released a scathing statement in response to the development, claiming Garland’s effort to coerce Republicans to reject the inherent contempt vote meets “the very definition of corruption.”
“Attorney General Garland is now calling moderate Republicans, pushing them to vote against my inherent contempt resolution. This is the very definition of corruption. He believes he is above the law and can tell elected members of Congress what to do. My message to Garland is straightforward: release the tapes to Congress and let us listen to them,” Luna said in a statement Saturday.

“Why is Merrick Garland fighting so hard to keep these tapes hidden?” she continued. “What is on those tapes that is making him act in a criminal manner to protect Joe Biden? Any other American would be in jail for what he is doing. This blatant abuse of power must be stopped. The American people deserve integrity in our institutions, not political corruption.”
Luna will introduce the inherent contempt vote to the House floor next week.
Democrats think they can get away with not following the rules and not being held accountable. Our country desperately needs to restore accountability within our government, now more than ever. The vote to hold Garland in inherent contempt will come to the floor next week.

Geoengineering Trick to Cool California Heatwave Could Spike Temperatures in Europe, Scientists Claim
Geoengineering methods meant to cool temperatures in California could trigger a heatwave in Europe, scientists warn.
University of Washington researchers last month sprayed reflective aerosols (chemtrails) into clouds over the ocean near San Francisco Bay to cool down the surface below, a practice called “marine cloud brightening.”
But a study published in the journal Nature Climate Change found that while the experimental geoengineering trick may reduce heat exposure in the region significantly, the “same interventions under mid-century warming minimally reduce or even increase heat stress in the Western United States and across the world.”
“It shows that marine cloud brightening can be very effective for the US West Coast if done now, but it may be ineffective there in the future and could cause heatwaves in Europe,” team lead and UC San Diego oceanographer Jessica Wan told The Guardian.
The experiment was later shut down by city officials, citing health concerns.
The researchers behind the study warned that the lack of regulation could exacerbate the effects of experimental geoengineering projects that are ongoing across the world.
From The Guardian:
The authors of the study said the findings were “scary” because the world has few or no regulations in place to prevent regional applications of the technique, marine cloud brightening, which involves spraying reflective aerosols (usually in the form of sea salt or sea spray) into stratocumulus clouds over the ocean to reflect more solar radiation back into space.
Experts have said the paucity of controls means there is little to prevent individual countries, cities, companies or even wealthy individuals from trying to modify their local climates, even if it is to the detriment of people living elsewhere, potentially leading to competition and conflict over interventions.
The recent sharp rise in global temperatures has prompted some research institutions and private organisations to engage in geoengineering research that used to be virtually taboo.
In Australia, scientists have been trialling marine cloud brightening strategies for at least four years to try to cool the Great Barrier Reef and slow its bleaching.
Earlier this year, scientists at the University of Washington sprayed sea-salt particles across the flight deck of a decommissioned aircraft carrier, the USS Hornet, docked in Alameda in San Francisco Bay. This experiment was halted by the local government to allow it to evaluate whether the spray contains chemicals that might pose a health risk to people or animals in the Bay area.
Ironic.
Liberal initiatives to manipulate the weather in the name of fighting climate change (global warming) actually lead to the very phenomenon they’re trying to combat.
It’s almost as if manipulating the weather in some effort to play God isn’t a good idea or something.
‘They Don’t Value Life’: Rachel Morin’s Mother Scorches Biden Regime Over Daughter’s Murder by Illegal Alien
Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin and grandmother of Rachel’s five children joined Fox News on Wednesday to excoriate the Biden administration’s “impersonal” response to her daughter’s murder by an illegal alien.
“Ingraham Angle” host Laura Ingraham asked Patty her reaction to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ insensitive remarks about Rachel’s death at the hands of a Salvadoran national.
“My reaction is that it’s a completely political statement because they’re not even willing to acknowledge that she was a female, that she was a mother, a daughter. It totally depersonalizes her, and makes her an object,” Patty told Ingraham.

The Biden administration had extended its condolence to Morin’s family in a statement but did not go as far as condemning the illegal alien who was arrested for raping and murdering Rachel.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Rachel Morin. We cannot comment on active law enforcement cases. But fundamentally, we believe that people should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law if they are found to be guilty,” the White House said.
Ingraham then asked Patty if the Biden administration reached out to her at all over her daughter’s murder.
“No, ma’am. No one’s contacted me personally. And, as far as I know, no one has reached out and contacted anybody in the family,” Patty replied.
“My message is that these are American citizens. These are the people that help to strengthen our country. These are the men and women that keep our country going, our economy going, our families, our churches,” she continued. “This is the backbone of America, us Americans, and to not even acknowledge that my daughter is a person, or that she’s a female, or that she’s a mother, like to categorize her as a statistic— it just shows how impersonal that they are, and it also shows how they don’t value life.”
Patty said her and her family lived in fear until the suspect, 23-year-old Victor Martinez-Hernandez, was arrested for Morin’s murder in Tulsa, Oklahoma, last Friday.
“When we heard that they had apprehended a suspect, there was a sense of relief, but before that, we all lived in fear because, you know, fear feeds on the unknown,” Patty said. “And if you don’t know who the person is, where they come from, are they still here in the area. Because we didn’t have any of those details. It wasn’t easy even to like take a breath, and just kind of allow yourself to relax and rest a little bit. So, it’s been very hard, so very hard.”

Watch: New Video Shows Saudi Official Plotting 9/11 Attacks in Washington D.C.
Video surfaced this week showing a man the FBI claims had ties to Saudi intelligence referencing a “plan” two years before the 9/11 terrorist attacks — raising questions about Saudi ties to the hijackers and the FBI’s withholding of this evidence for more than two decades.
CBS News’ “60 Minutes” released the footage Thursday showing Omar al-Bayoumi, whom the FBI says was a Saudi operative, casing the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.

The video was found by British police during a raid on Bayoumi’s U.K. apartment days after the 9/11 attacks.
The CBS report noted that “while the 9/11 Commission report two decades ago found that al-Qaeda acted alone, the victims’ families are disputing this,” citing the video footage as evidence Saudi Arabia may have been involved in the terrorist attacks.
Curiously, the FBI had been sitting on this footage for over 20 years but neer made it public — until now.
From the Washington Examiner:
British police found the video during a raid on Bayoumi’s U.K. apartment in the days after 9/11. They also seized Bayoumi’s hand-written address book that the lawyers for the 9/11 families say was filled with phone numbers of numerous senior Saudi officials who were in the government at the time.
When Bayoumi recorded the Washington video, he was often with two Saudi diplomats who the FBI says had “ties to al Qaeda,” a finding the Saudi government disputes.
Retired FBI agent Ken Williams led the 9/11 investigation in Phoenix, where one of the hijackers attended flight school. He believes the Bayoumi video “ranks right at the top of the pile” of evidence. Williams strongly disagrees with the Saudi government’s stance that the video was one Bayoumi took as a tourist.
The British police are believed to have turned over the video to the FBI shortly after 9/11, which raises the question: why, after more than 20 years, is it just now surfacing?
“If that was missed then shame on us for missing it,” Williams, who is also a consultant on the case filed by the 9/11 families, said. “If it wasn’t missed, then I would have to ask the question: What was done with it?”
The timing of the footage’s release is also suspect given it went public just days after reports emerged claiming Saudi Arabia had allowed its informal petrodollar agreement with the U.S. to “expire”, which would allow the kingdom to sell oil under many currencies.
How many more of these kinds of videos is the U.S. government keeping under lock and key?
Rand Paul: Illegal Alien Crimes ‘Enough to Disqualify Biden from Consideration’
Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) argued that although the potential terror threat from illegal aliens is a major issue, their ongoing criminal behavior within the U.S. should be enough to disqualify Joe Biden’s reelection.
“You know, I agree with you,” Paul told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday. “I think terrorism is of great concern, and I think, you know, with dozens and dozens of almost 200 people coming in from other countries, you see the list, you see the interviews, Tajikistan, Egypt, Tunisia, all over the Middle East, China, I mean, from all over the place, but it’s not just terrorism. It’s regular domestic criminal behavior. It should be enough to disqualify Biden from consideration.”
Paul highlighted the spate of brutal crimes committed by illegal aliens against American women and girls like Georgia student Laken Riley, mother-of-five Rachel Morin, and 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, who was allegedly murdered by a pair of illegals in Texas this week.
“I mean, imagine the images if people in America can figure out and know that people like Laken Riley were killed by someone that President Biden’s administration specifically allowed to come in. They paroled them. They made the decision that it was OK for them to come into this country,” he said.
“And then when they were arrested for a variety of crimes that they’re here, nobody did anything about it because they were in Democrat cities that are sanctuary cities that being arrested for a crime is not enough to be deported. In fact, they prevent the immigration authorities from seeing the arrest records,” Paul continued.
“So, yeah, this is all on Biden’s shoulders, and then he comes forward with a reform, and he says, oh, yeah, this is the bipartisan reform. We’ll let 2,500 people in a day, and then we’ll get serious. Well, 2,500 people day is 900,000 people.”
The Kentucky Senator went on to point out that Biden has the executive power to completely close the border, but simply refuses to do so.
“Biden has the power to have zero, and that’s what I would do,” he added. “I think that’s what Trump would do. Zero. We start at zero, and we don’t let anybody get paroled. Everybody is turned around and guess what? They keep — they quit coming once they see that people are being turned away, and that’s what has to happen.”
Rather than close the border, Biden announced a plan this week to grant illegal aliens married to U.S. citizens a pathway to citizenship.
