The Night Is Always Darkest Before the Dawn

The Labour victory in the UK is anything but a landslide

It’s easy to misunderstand what happened in Britain on Thursday. I’m talking about the general election, of course, which saw the election of a new Labour government, under Keir Starmer.

If you look at the number of seats alone, you’ll be apt to think Starmer must be a pretty popular guy. Labour now has 412 seats in the House of Commons, with a majority of 174. The Conservatives, by contrast, have just 121 seats, their worst result in history.

Peer a little closer, though, and things are not quite as they seem. The kinks of Britain’s first-past-the-post system soon reveal themselves. For 34% of the vote share, Labour got 63% of the seats. The Conservatives, meanwhile, on 24% of the vote, got 19%. The surging Reform party, led by Nigel Farage, got 14% of the vote. And do you know how many seats they got? Five, or less than 1% of the total. The Liberal Democrats, traditionally Britain’s “third party” got 12% of the vote—-and 11% of the seats.

Hardly seems fair, does it?

“The Electoral Reform Society says this was the most disproportional election in British history,” Tweeted Nigel Farage this morning. They’re right, and so is he.

The truth is, when you look at the actual numbers, Keir Starmer is about as popular as Tony Blair at the nadir of his premiership, in 2005, and significantly less popular than virtually every other Labour leader in the party’s history, except the truly dismal Michael Foot, in 1983—a man about as charismatic as the festering three-week-old contents of a teenage boy’s gym bag—and the anthropomorphic nightmare that was Ed Miliband, in 2010. Miliband couldn’t even eat a sandwich without looking like an eldritch horror spawned from the deepest recesses of the mind of HP Lovecraft.

The comparison with Starmer’s predecessor as leader of the Labour party, Jeremy Corbyn, is particularly stark. With his 9,660,394 votes, Starmer became Prime Minister with 3.2 million less votes than Corbyn won when he lost the 2017 election against Theresa May, and 600,000 less than when Corbyn was hammered by Boris Johnson in 2019. The average seat majority has shrunk by almost half, from 11,300 in 2019, to 6,600.

Starmer’s “landslide” was actually nothing of the sort. If the election result was anything, it wasn’t a vote for Starmer—somebody you’d struggle to pick out of a police lineup even if he was the only one in it—but a vote against the Conservatives. This was punishment. The British public, rightly, wanted to hurt the Tories for doing absolutely nothing to make Britain a better place to live over the last 14 years. These included not just swing voters in the north and former industrial areas of the country, mainly white working-class people, whom Boris Johnson had managed to wrestle away from their traditional Labour allegiance, mere decades after Labour had abandoned them for right-thinking middle classes and new imported demographics, but also traditional Tory voters in the English heartlands who had simply had enough of being lied to, especially about the crucial issue of immigration.

Britain, for want of a better word, has become a sh*thole, and it’s the Conservative Party’s fault. Everybody knows this.

The real success story of the election, even if it didn’t translate directly into seats in Parliament, obviously lies with Reform.  In a period of just over a month, Nigel Farage has pretty much turned British politics on its head. The return of the most charismatic man in British politics, the closest thing we have to a populist superstar—the closest thing, dare I say it?, we have to Trump—has made Reform Britain’s second party in waiting.

Faced with the prospect of another disastrous Labour government, many traditional Conservatives will have struggled to vote against their party. But I suspect that in four years’ time they won’t be so hesitant to vote for Farage, when it becomes clear just how terrible Labour are and that the Conservatives haven’t learned a damn thing from last week’s result. In the immediate aftermath, as commentators rejoiced, barely a single Conservative MP could identify mass immigration as the driving issue behind their historic defeat.

“Zero seats” became a popular slogan of right-wing disaffection with the Conservatives during this election, and it could well become a reality in 2029. The Conservatives will deserve it.

Reform didn’t win this election, but they’ve set themselves on the path to win the next. What’s more, they’ve revealed that Britain is not isolated from the resurgence of the right wing that’s taking place across Europe. Britain is still an island, yes, and it may not be in the EU anymore, but it’s a part of something much bigger, something that threatens to upend the liberal order across the continent and allow the peoples of Europe a fresh chance at self-determination and self-governance.

Before the return of Nigel Farage, such a possibility seemed a very distant one indeed. Now, on a clear day, it’s visible, like the shores of France from the cliffs of Dover.

But regardless of whether or not Keir Starmer and the Labour Party have a mandate from the British people, they have power, and that means Britain will suffer. Starmer is a “reasonable revolutionary” in the Tony Blair mould, a man whose unprepossessing exterior and awkward-dad mannerisms disguise the beating heart of a gay race communist: a man who wants to continue the dismantling of Britain and make it permanent—forever. Tony Blair was the leader of the most revolutionary government in Britain’s modern history, a government that transformed Britain in just 13 years, and did so from the moment it took office, for ideological reasons.

We all know the remarks made by Andrew Neather, sometime around 2010: the New Labour policy of mass immigration was specifically designed to “rub the right’s nose in diversity” and make it impossible for a truly conservative government ever to take power again. New Labour succeeded mightily, so mightily in fact, that when the Conservatives finally came to power in 2010, they didn’t know what to do except continue the policies of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

Starmer will intensify mass immigration and spread the benefits of diversity to rural as well as urban communities. He will intensify the politicization of the bureaucracy and justice system. He has already committed himself to the introduction of new “hate-speech laws,” and will set the police and intelligence services on right-wingers. He will commit the nation to retarded green-energy policies that destroy productivity and blight the nation’s landscape. We know all of this not just because he is a Blairite, but because he is a leftist, and this is what leftists are doing across the length and breadth of Europe.

The next four years will not be a good time to be British, but things will be even worse if you’re British and on the real right. But as they say, the night is always darkest before the dawn. Have cheer and be of good faith.

The ensuing pursuit ended quickly as the driver and occupants suddenly bailed out and fled on foot.

Arriving USBP agents can be seen chasing the suspects, with one agent collaring a male illegal in a driveway.

As the agent attempted to restrain the man, he fought back, ultimately slipping out of his shirt and running away.

“USBP Agents arrived on the scene and assisted in apprehending 7 illegal immigrants from Mexico,” TxDPS spokesman Lt. Chris Olivarez explained in a statement.

“One of the illegal immigrants refused to cooperate and resisted arrest against one of the agents but was ultimately arrested.”

The driver was identified as Macedonio Rios, a Mexican national who has been living illegally in Roma, Texas.

Rios was charged with evading arrest and smuggling of persons.

Dangerous pursuits unfold constantly along the U.S.-Mexico border, as InfoWars frequently reports.

Putin Calls for ‘Complete End’ to Ukraine Conflict

Putin Calls for ‘Complete End’ to Ukraine Conflict

Moscow wants to resolve the crisis for good and not simply establish a ceasefire, the Russian president has said.

Russia wants to fully resolve the Ukraine conflict, rather than just agreeing a ceasefire or freezing the hostilities, President Vladimir Putin has said.

The statement came after Putin met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Moscow on Friday. Orban traveled to the Russian capital to discuss ways of finding a peaceful and diplomatic resolution to the conflict.

Speaking at a joint press conference following their meeting, Putin stated there should not be a “ceasefire or some kind of pause that the Kiev regime could use to recover losses, regroup, and rearm. Russia is in favor of a complete and final end of the conflict.”

Putin noted, however, that the conflict can only end once a number of conditions are met. Specifically, the Russian leader stressed that Kiev must withdraw its forces from Donbass as well as the former Ukrainian regions of Zaporozhye and Kherson, all of which officially became part of Russia after voting in public referendums.

There are other conditions, Putin added, but said that these are a subject for “fairly detailed consideration in the course of possible joint work.”

Previously, Putin proposed an immediate ceasefire on condition that Ukraine agree to a number of terms. These include the aforementioned withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from all Russian territories, as well as legally binding guarantees that Kiev would not seek membership in NATO.

Kiev, as well as its Western backers, have rejected the plan, although Putin has nevertheless stated that the offer remains “on the table.” The Kremlin has encouraged the Ukrainian leadership to take time to consider it.

During Friday’s press conference, Orban noted that Moscow’s and Kiev’s positions on the conflict are far apart, and that it will require significant effort to bring an end to the fighting.

Putin suggested that judging by the attitude of the Ukrainian authorities and the current state of affairs, it seems evident that Kiev “is still not ready to give up waging war to a victorious end.”

Disney Heiress Announces Halt in Donations to Democrats Until Biden Drops Out — Report

“If Biden does not step down the Democrats will lose. Of that I am absolutely certain,” says Abigail Disney.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Abigail Disney, granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, who co-founded The Walt Disney Company, has announced that she plans to withhold donations to the Democratic Party until incumbent US President Joe Biden drops out of the presidential race following his dismal debate performance, CNBC has reported.

“I intend to stop any contributions to the party unless and until they replace Biden at the top of the ticket. This is realism, not disrespect. Biden is a good man and has served his country admirably, but the stakes are far too high,” Abigail Disney said in a lengthy statement to CNBC.

“If Biden does not step down the Democrats will lose. Of that I am absolutely certain. The consequences for the loss will be genuinely dire,” CNBC quoted Abigail Disney as saying on Thursday.

Biden’s performance at the debate against ex-US President Donald Trump last week rekindled talks among Democrats about replacing him as the presidential nominee. Biden, 81, is the oldest president in US history and has faced speculations about his physical condition and cognitive abilities.

The US presidential election is slated for November 2024. The main contenders expected on the ballot are Biden and Trump, who have both won enough delegates’ votes to be their parties’ presumptive nominees. Trump and Biden are set to debate again on September 10.

Shock Video: Massive Mob Loots Gas Station Near In-N-Out Eatery Shut Down by California Crime Wave

Nearly 100 suspects cause $100,000 in damage and losses following “street takeover” in Oakland

A very large group of suspects looted a California gas station just down the road from an In-N-Out Burger that recently closed down due to rampant crime in the area, according to reports.

The shocking incident unfolded at around 4:30 a.m. on Friday in Oakland.

After a nearby “street takeover” broke up, a mob arrived at a 76 gas station and became enraged when they learned the shop was only offering window service.

As many as 100 people stormed the mini-mart and began stealing merchandise and destroying displays.

Remember that profitable In-N-Out Burger that closed in Oakland due to crime?

Manager Sam Mardaie told ABC7 he called police but they never showed up.

Mardaie estimates the damage and losses at around $100,000.

“When asked about the response time, Oakland police say based on the initial details the caller reported, the crime was listed as a Priority 2 burglary – which means no suspects are on scene – and the caller was referred to online crime reporting,” ABC7 reports.

“However, video evidence was later reported to OPD that made clear the scale and details of the incident, including the large number of suspects, and the incident was immediately elevated to a Priority 1 incident, which prompted an officer to go to the scene.”

An investigation is ongoing.

Just a quarter of a mile from the affected 76 sits an empty building previously occupied by a thriving In-N-Out Burger.

In January, In-N-Out announced the closure of its only Oakland location — despite being profitable — citing violent crime and thefts affecting employees and guests, potentially making it the first location to ever be shut down by the wildly-popular West Coast-based company.

Other restaurant chains, including Raising Cane’s and Denny’s, have also reduced services in Oakland or closed altogether due to out-of-control crime and insecurity.

InfoWars has been documenting the surge of crime across the United States, including carjackings‘street takeovers,’ smash-and-grab loot mobshome invasions, and physical attacks on innocent victims.

Biden: ‘Everything I Do’ Is a Cognitive Test

adminJul 6, 20243 min read
The US leader has insisted his disastrous debate with Donald Trump was just a “bad episode.”

US President Joe Biden tried to dispel concerns over his age and cognitive abilities after his lackluster performance during last week’s debate against Donald Trump, in an interview with ABC News on Friday.

In the highly anticipated sit-down with George Stephanopoulos, the 81-year-old leader explained the debate fiasco as entirely “my fault, no one else’s fault,” insisting that it was simply a “bad episode” because he was “exhausted” and “sick” with a “bad cold” – and in no way an indication of any serious condition.

Biden said he has “medical doctors trailing me everywhere I go” and after the debate they told him he was “exhausted,” but nothing more serious. “I have an ongoing assessment of what I’m doing. They don’t hesitate to tell me if something is wrong.”

STEPHANOPOULOS: Was this [the debate] a bad episode or the sign of a more serious condition?

BIDEN: It was a bad episode. No indication of any serious condition. I was exhausted. I didn’t listen to my instincts in terms of preparing, and I had a bad night. pic.twitter.com/ONIGZEfKQU

— JM Rieger (@RiegerReport) July 5, 2024

When asked directly whether he was ready to take a neurological test to prove to Americans that he is up to the job, Biden dodged the question by claiming, “I have a cognitive test every single day.”

“Every day I have that test,” Biden reiterated when pressed again. “Not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world, and that’s not hyperbole.”

“There’s a lot of time left in this campaign” — Biden pic.twitter.com/cbYZtZpmFJ

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) July 6, 2024

The entire interview went in circles, with Stephanopoulos repeatedly asking whether Biden believes he is in good enough shape to beat Trump, while Biden kept citing his past record and defiantly rejecting the notion that he could leave the race amid worsening poll numbers.

Biden said he did not believe the poll numbers that showed him trailing Trump in the popular vote, claiming that the race is a “toss-up” and that he is the “most qualified person to beat him.”

Biden refused to speculate on whether he would leave the race if Democratic Party leaders asked him to, noting that he would withdraw only if God told him to do so.
